  1. I just hope that Stewart County makes it past BYE without too many injuries to where they don’t have to cancel the remaining 6 games on the schedule.
  2. That's why they beat MBA the previous two times that they'd played one another.
  3. I'm seeing the same thing I've always seen on this site since it got really big two decades ago. Maryville is great. Maryville is really great. When you look at the all time barometer they are #2 when it comes to championships (behind Alcoa). When you look at the landscape of 6A football they are #2 when it comes to powerhouses today (behind Oakland). Maryville has some fans on CoachT though who go into serious depression mode whenever they lose a game. It's always the case. "Hunt is great but GQ...." "Oakland gets away with.....because the TSSAA....." "Alcoa plays smaller schools and we play bigger schools...." "Our passing game is costing us....." "The pregame meal wasn't good enough and we should've eaten....." Here's some good advice: SHUT UP! YOU LOST! Stop being a bunch of keyboard philosophers and encourage your coaches and your kids. Know that the season doesn't end on September 9th and you have almost 3 more months to make things better. Stop griping about what other teams have and who other teams play and start worrying about your own team. Support your team in a constructive manner.
  4. Michael Conner and the York defense continue to do great things this year.
  5. Matt McConnell revived the football program at Waverly at a time when it had hit rock bottom. That’s not directed at Trey Graves either because he had some good moments as head coach at Waverly as well. In 2014 when McConnell took it over and got the basketball guys out it was a game changer. 2015-2018 when they had the guys like Stanfield, Bradley, Dixon, Etc. they were one of the best 2A teams in the state. They had some great battles with Huntingdon and Fairview those years. The program that Boldin inherited in 2019 and the program that McConnell inherited in 2014 were not on the same level. Boldin has continued to make Waverly competitive at a high level but Waverly football learned to win under Matt McConnell & Co.
  6. I was being sarcastic because of the other posts made about the game.
  7. I always heard that when teams go to White House they aren’t going to be able to get a call. Whatever White House feeds those guys and entertains them with upon arrival must be very expensive. Maybe Greenbrier will do the same when they are at home hosting their next game. Maybe their radio analyst can get some pointers from the White House guys.
  8. I’m listening to the radio broadcast of this game and it sounds like Greenbrier is getting the short end of the stick tonight at White House. The color analyst on the radio network is “must hear” for anyone looking for a laugh.
  9. East Nashville looked good for a team that could potentially finish 2nd at best in Region 5 this year. Smith County and Stratford both looked very good in Week 1.
  10. Oakland will be great when they clean up turnovers. They are very good for sure. Hendersonville will have a rock solid year and be in the mix in the end.
  11. Camden should save their gas money and not go to Waverly. Save yourselves the embarrassment of another drubbing.
  12. Who were the most impressive teams at the jamboree
  13. Go play Oakland, Maryville, Alcoa, MBA, Brentwood Academy, MUS, Etc. McCallie and Baylor don’t have players from all over the country playing football at their universities (I mean schools).
  14. I would surely hope that the next IMG Academy would be able to beat a 3A sized school (only playing 4A because they chose to play up) by 3TDs. Your posts are arrogant. Perhaps Lipscomb should play up and play some of the DII-AAA heavyweights since they are so invincible.
  15. https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/07/25/east-nashville-football-frustrated-practice-accomdations-class-3-a-runners-up-new-sod/10145617002/ Give Those Boys Some Grass Please Metro! Stop treating them unfairly and give them the same stuff you give Hillsboro and Pearl-Cohn.
  16. Who do y’all scrimmage big boy
  17. Dakota Crews is at Maryville now. Dylan Crews is at Green Hill now. Michael Conner is at York Institute now. Who’s helping Coach Sharp out at Columbia Central now? Moore and Duncan are still there I am going to assume.
  18. I hope Giles Co. gets to the semifinals in 3A this year and gets to host Alcoa down at The Brickyard. Now that they’ve played Alcoa once I wonder how they would try to play them if given another shot at them. David O’Connor and his staff always do a great job of scheming and I would be shocked if they got manhandled by Alcoa the way that they did last year if they happen to meet up on Thanksgiving in Pulaski.
  19. For the last several years it’s been Oakland and a bunch of other schools living off of a myth of years past. You listen to radio shows that make it out like the Murfreesboro area is the SEC of football in TN. Oakland has been great in recent years. They’ve been the best team in the state. Aside from the Patriots though who else has been “great” in recent years? Smyrna? LaVergne? Blackman? Riverdale? Stewarts Creek? Siegel? Rockvale?
  20. Pearl plays MBA every single year. They’ve beaten MBA the last 2 times they have played. That alone kills your argument. Pearl has played DII privates such as CPA, Lipscomb, BGA, Etc. through the years. I will let you know this also: Pearl tried to play a Murfreesboro school a few years ago and that request for a 2 year series was rejected. The Murfreesboro coach told me that the matchup would be a “win/win” situation for PC while his program had nothing to gain and everything to lose playing the Firebirds. How do I know this? Perhaps I was the person who texted that coach and tried to help Brunetti out by scheduling the game.
  21. I’m glad Waverly’s kids will get to play at home and have a true home field this season. I know that had to be incredibly difficult last year.
  22. Does Henry County still host the jamboree every year? If I remember correctly the teams that played there were Henry County, Milan, McKenzie, Murray (KY), Stewart County, West Carroll, Dresden, and Westview. What are this year’s matchups?
  23. I’ve seen Cheatham County, Sycamore, Stewart County, Fairview, and Waverly throw in 7/7 camps this summer. It will be a very competitive season in Region 6-3A. I did not get the chance to see WH or WHH throw this summer. I hope everyone has had a great summer and has stayed healthy all summer. It’s about to officially be “preseason ‘22” and scrimmages will be right around the corner.
  24. Last November’s East Nashville playoff game is exactly why Waverly chose to scrimmage Milan. Kudos to their coaches for scrimmaging such a tough opponent to really test themselves. Fairview always gets a great scrimmage when scrimmaging Marshall County every year. A bigger, usually more athletic, 4A opponent lets them know where they stand early every year.
