  1. That sounds like a very pc answer to me. Him leaving probably had nothing to do with the lack of talent on the basketball team or the fact that playing at the pace he wanted with said lack of athletes against teams from Clarksville on a regular basis is coaching suicide. Yeah, he couldn't sell his house, that's it.
  2. The difference between a 13 year old male to 17 year old male is much greater than the difference between a 17 and 22 year old.
  3. As for the actual topic, i think Whitehaven, Maryville, Siegel, and Beech are so close that you couldn't go wrong picking between them.
  4. Dodson and Hurd against each other would be epic.
  5. I thought it was a good call watching on tv.
  6. Lots of similarities between this game and the Northside game from last week.
  7. Just once I'd like for them to get the starting lineup's grade right, just once. Couldn't get it right last year, still can't.
  8. Will Hardin, Munford, or whoever else travel any better than any of the Clarksville teams? It's a mighty long drive and I don't remember any of those teams bringing a crowd prior to realignment. As for your 2nd point, it's much easier to want to schedule more difficult opponents than to actually get the games. If they had to schedule 4 or 5 non-district games, I couldn't imagine how far they'd have to travel to find enough games. I imagine a couple of the Clarksville teams would be getting a phone call.
  9. Why, in your opinion, would Henry County want to leave their current district?
  10. Exactly who in the state of Tennessee has to play Olive Branch or the large privates? Secondly, the other teams you listed are up and down just like Henry and Dickson county are. Independence was horrible a couple of years ago. Brentwood lost to little ole' 5a Gallatin last year, so I don't believe Henry County would have been running from them either. I suppose what I'm asking is what exactly is your point, other than to insult qbprez?
  11. Yep. Staying at home throughout the playoffs the past few years has probably spoiled most of us. It's a long drive to Memphis.
  12. Hope you don't mind commish, but I had to reformat your post in order to emphasize the most important part. Starting half-way through the season last year, RW comes on here and predicts blowout after blowout, regardless of oponent. He stated Ridgeway was inferior and would be a blowout, same with Powell. He stated that this season would be a cakewalk as well, when any knowledgable fan knew there would be growing pains this year. Liberty was going to be a cakewalk. Beech, no problem at all. And then he states that Northeast, a team that is always filled with athletes and has been a very competitive team the past 3 years, with a starting qb committed to Tennessee, would be a pushover. Either RW needs to find better "sources", he's a troll, or both. It took him 3 weeks to post after his predicted Beech massacre, we'll see how long it takes this time.
  13. A troll is someone who gets on here and demeans others in order to make themselves feel better, like predicting that someone will "destroy" another team, when in fact they have no knowledge of the game itself. There are a couple of trolls that follow Henry County unfortunately, but it's not me under that bridge. I also seem to remember you mocking those of us who thought that Beech was going to be a very difficult challenge and that Jalen Hurd would put on a show if the defense did not step up its play after a lackluster game against Liberty, tell us again how that turned out.
  14. Keep telling yourself that but I know who was getting chewed out after a particular long and sloppy drive, and they were largely starters.
  15. Considering the defense gave up 26 points and, if memory serves me, about 250 yards rushing, I'd say my prediction was right on track. As opposed to your's, which is you talking out of your butt.
  16. Found it for you. From http://www.coacht.com/boards/index.php/topic/224774-henry-county-patriots-liberty-crusaders-week-0/page__st__30 "I'll field this one, Red Warrior. What happened is as follows: The 2011 State Champion Henry County Patriots came from behind to dismantle a team that was bigger at every position, faster at every position, and for 3 quarters, more motivated at every position. The dismantled Liberty Crusaders lost the last game they will lose this year. They are a physical carbon copy of the Riverside team from Memphis we defeated deep in the playoffs last year (you know, on our walk to The Championship)." I especially liked the Ridgeway (although you said Riverside) reference.
  17. Didn't you go on record after week 0 that Liberty would finish the season with only 1 loss?
  18. Schools do have the option of playing up. Under the last realignment, Clarksville Northeast High School wished to stay in 5a despite a smaller enrollment figure since every other Clarksville school was 5a or bigger. However, in Oak Ridge's case under the z-plan, 5a or 6a would not matter until playoff time. Oak Ridge would theoretically still be able to play in the same district versus the same opponents either way.
  19. Having watched Mobley in the championship game last year and Hurd on a couple of occassions, Hurd is in his own category when it comes to running backs.
  20. Dangerous game this week for Henry County if the rush defense continues to play like it has the last 2 weeks. Kenwood relies heavily on the running game, and they have a couple of good backs. I don't think their defense has any chance of stopping HC without some turnovers and penalties, but the Patriots could be in another high scoring game if they don't tackle better.
  21. I find it funny that certain regular posters have not been seen since the end of this game. Perhaps a couple of the coaches have decided to devote themselves to the film room a little longer rather than posting on coacht.
