OMG!!! what a game that was. Springfield had to rally twice (once from 2 scores down) to finally escape w/ a 34-33 victory. NE has some really good athletes 2; Springfield has a very young team, they could be really good these next few years.....

Great win tonite for the champs, I have to admit I did not expect that. I was impressed by Forrest in their scrimmage against JBS. Good luck against SP, maybe you guys will suprise everybody.....

I agree, the game being close would not suprose me at all but Springfield is not going to kick 3 extra points.....lol, As long as they win I dont care though.....

Watching the game last night I noticed Coach Blade was no longer the coach. Any word on where he went?

I really do not know much about NE besides the fact they beat Sycamore last week. Springfield lost by 1 point but did show some promise. Springfield will be able to score some points but they will have to do better stopping the run. I believe that this coaching staff is a good 1 and they used the off-week wisely and the run defense will show enough improvement to edge out a victory this week..... So they are conviently down this year..... You must be new to this state. Being "down" in Maryville doesn't mean they won't have a undefeated season, it just means they'll probably be beating everybody by one or two touchdowns and not the usual three or four. I know exactly who Maryville is and what being down means. In this case if they dont go undefeated and win state it is b/c they are down this year.....

Werll after reading the football preview in the county I have come to the conclusion that the new sports writer is a tool. So it really does not suprise me that he picked against JBS. He probably went to a private school..... The rumor I heard is that he is from East Robertson so it is little doubt that he would pick the Devils to lose. I was just joking about the private school comment, I figured he went to 1 of the schools in the county.....

Same to you, Nan. One more week till ya'll visit the Stable!! I was pretty impressed w/ Forrest in the scrimmage I saw them partake in. Man C11, you guys sure didnt piece together an easy schedule. It will make you guys better prepared come play-off time though, so it will be well worth it.....

We are in trouble if your right. Coach Parker said that was the best team he has played in his entire coaching career. I'd like to hear some JB folks that were at the game last week agree with your bold statement. Well I could be wrong C11, but I honestly believe they would match up fairly well w/ DA just based on their versitility on offense. I also believe DA would be able to put up alot of points if they played JBS as well. I bet it would be a high scoring affair w/ 1 or the other out dueling the other in the last few drives. Man 2 man DA probably does have better personel than JBS but due to coaching/phlosophy JBS has a favorable match-up to make up for that. Its like I said though, this is pure speculation and you would never truly know unless they played one another.....

I personally believe JBS is just as good as DA and if they played it would be a toss-up. Having said that, I do not believe it has any bearring on the JBS/Cascade game. Teams just match up differently w/ certain teams and DA was not a good match-up for Cascade at all. They match-up a little better w/ JBS but I believe the game will be somewhat of a shootout and I think that favors JBS. JBS is better/more versitle than they were last year offensively, but defensively they will give up some points. I say JBS wins w/ the score somewhere in the neighborhood of 42-21, 42-28, or 35-21/28. Good luck to both teams.....

I am very happy w/ the new coaching staff, it was a great game done in by mental mistakes but it is still early in the year. I believe they could have won that game w/o the fumbles and botched snap on special teams but against other teams on their schedule/district they would lose w/ that same effort. The biggest problem of all is stopping the run; the majority of the teams in their district are run heavy teams and this area must be improveed quickly. The good thing is there are 2 weeks to rectify the problem and even though they may not be able to completely fix the run-d, I expect to see major improvements. For the 1st time in a long time, I trust this coaching staff. They will come back and beat Clarksville NE I bet. The crowd was great at BS field friday night; its been awhile since I seen that many people there.....

I will definitely be there; didnt Coach Myers arrange it to were everyone can get in free for this 1st game in an attempted to get the attendance up this year? I personally do not care and will gladly pay the admission, but I do believe this is a good idea to get more people at the games. I cant wait until the game tomm night, I am really amped for this 1.....

The runs he made in that game were pretty impressive considering the competition. I believe I seen this video awhile back; he is a senior this year right?

it's great to hear that about josh bey , I sure enjoyed watchin him make big plays and those bone crushing hits you could see he was going to successful at the next level very special player IMO Being at APSU I was able to see Bey play here last year when they played APSU and he really stood out. He is just as much of a beast in this conference as he was in HS.....

I definitely feel that the program is on the up-swing; I really like what Coach Myers is doing. God bless him and the rest of the staff/players, this football program is really important to me.....

Well from the sounds of it the JBS/ER game is looking like a "cant miss" sort of showdown. I like to faithfully follow Springfield as long as I dont have to watch them get destroyed but do make exceptions for games that have the potentual to be great.....

Wow!!!! What a game! Let me quote another post on the 2-A East Robertson Jamboree page,That was one of the BEST preseason games I have ever seen. I dont know if either team worked with there second team boys, If they did they put in one or two at a time. It was more like a playoff game and the season was on the line. I like what Coach has done with Springfield's play. It was fun to watch and I wish you success this year. With that said lets remember that East is a 2-A School, So I will wait to see how much better you are by mid/end of the season. It was nice to see the teams take a knee together at mid field after the game. I agree on the taking a knee; lets just hope nobody was offended..... P.S. not that I care.....

Wow, they gave up 22 points to ER? It sounds like their offense is clicking but the defense is going to cost them some wins.....
