  2. I think your rankings are about right. Anything can happen, but I would say the Cornersville Moore County games will be worth watching for sure. Richland should be able to compete as well. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.
  3. Moore County beat them on Monday. I can't remember the spread, but they only had six players and struggled.
  4. Baby Blue will win it! By 2 or 20! Doesn't matter to me! Zoom! /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> Go Raiders!
  5. Moore County will be moving back into the picture next year.
  6. Moore County(4) Fallon Boyce, Vanessa Pincheon, Heather Vann, Rachel Garland
  7. This is a great idea! I have always thought that the entire team is never given enough credit when in fact the five starting on the floor would never be too successful without the great team members coming in off the bench, often to the rescue. It is time to build that net of support around all our players instead of just holding a few up high. Consider promoting your idea on a thread.
  8. Started 1 senior, 1 junior, 2 freshmen, 1 eighth grader.
  9. You hung yourself tnvolsfan....hearsay is so credible! It is like repeating gossip. Since you have only "heard and it ain't good", you must have been talking to one or two people. Every place has them. I'll wait for the "real story". Good job Coach White and Lindsey! Way to hang through a transition season! Best I can tell every fan that comes to the game has the chance to cheer, yell at refs, coaches, and players. Those "two men" who keep getting mentioned have as much right as any to give their two cents during the game....maybe more. Probably two thirds of the girls on the team have played for these guys from elementary school on. They know these girls and have VOLUNTEERED their time and the parents continue to let them coach them. They are vocal. They know the game. They are not running it, however. Think about it, if they were, they wouldn't have to be yelling. So, be bothered. It is what gives us something to talk about. Bright future for Moore County! Strong and deep coming up! I still say, Great season! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  10. Good game for sure! Good year for sure! Good play handling girls that have considerable height on you! Hold your heads up girls! COACH STAYS! BTW it was my understanding that eight graders weren't trying out before they agreed to play up for a few games at the end of the season. You want to ruin the potential for a strong team coming up...change coaches a few times..... It is not a recipe for success. Looks like to me Moore County had a great run! Parents and fans should be proud of their accomplishments, give a few hugs and pats on the back. We could "what if" all of last nights game from shooting through hands in your face to the referee. Moore County played well. Could it have been different ? Yep. With any of about ten missed shots within five feet of the goal things would have been different.... Would the coach have changed something? Hind sight...20/20. My opinion. Great job girls! You hung in there and surprised the nay sayers. You didn't make it to the Boro this year, but as you gain experience you grow. You have a really bright future. #10 you have had a great career at MC and have a great future in college. Keep up the good work! I enjoyed all of your years of play. The rest of you girls rest up and come back ready to give all us MC fans an exciting year next year! Tnvolsfan, Be disappointed, but try not to whine. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> The team had a good season and have grown into a much more solid team! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  11. Moore County by 5 (Roll on Baby Blue!) Wayne County by a hair
  12. Moore County came to play and stayed in the game. It was exciting! Collinwood has a good team and played a hard game. Now is the time to kick it up a notch and the girls in baby blue brought their "A" game! Good job! The best team effort this year both defensively and on offense. They finally got the "team" thing right! Congratulations on a fine job! Keep on playing with your best out front so everyone can see it!
  13. Saw her getting into her car to drive home. No wraps or bandages. Think it was a turned ankle. Looked like she would be in.
  14. Ditto. A much deserved win! You won by taking control of the game early and not letting up until the final buzzer! Way to go Moore County!
  15. Simply put, coach_mac I was wrong about when and how long she ran point. I was not trying to take anything from her either. She had a very good game all the way around.
  16. I believe that 11 Garland ran point most of the night and 31 Howell some of the time. If 21 ran point it may have been late in the game. 40 has been around all year and does add needed height to the team. She comes to MC with little experience, but will help down the road. She missed a game earlier in the season where she would have gotten a lot of floor time. The other key post has been out with a broken ankle and will return before tournament time. As you noted, there is always a need to capitalize on improvement in certain areas. I believe they will continue to improve as they gain expeirence. All the girls did a fine job against Culleoka. It will only be better when everyone is back on the floor.
  17. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> riveting strand OMG Do U no IM? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> It is almost like texting except NOT! The one point I managed to decipher from this jumbled mess involved VP and her lack of points. After doing some checking I found out the VP was hurt early in the game on a fall during a lay up. She hurt an elbow and did not play the remainder of the game. Try not to get your dander up. VP and the team are doing just fine from all accounts. I hate it when folks jump to a lot of conclusions that imply that they know more than the coach or those who did the hiring. As you can see from the responses so far, the credibility of your statement was lost in the incoherent ramblings. Rather than let it go on, I decided it would be the right thing to say that she had an injury. You should read the strand on team play and teamwork.
  18. Yep! Good thread! I wish the players would spend time reading this thread rather than some of the other threads. This one could actually help the players and parents.
  19. http://www.nba.com/suns/news/adhs_trainers_answers.html Here is a website where you can ask the trainers. I had questions earlier in the year about strength training and they emailed me a couple of articles that answered my questions very well.
  20. Think of it this way. Your middle school teams may be good, but for every summer AAU or some summer league is played, experience is gained and skills are polished. If your players aren't participating and your opponents players are playing, it will make a differnce especially over three or four years. You can see the same type thing happen when a player is out for an injury for a season. They often have a lot of catching up to do when they get back just because they haven't been on the floor gaining experience.
  21. The coach is indeed a big part of any team. However, I have seen Tullahoma play several times in the past two years and they are not looking much different even though they have had two different coaches. I believe the wins will come for Tullahoma if they start paying attention to training their girls to play basketball at the upper elementary and middle school level. This will need to include summer play in AAU and strong fundamental training so their efforts aren't wasted. The girls do not lack for effort. They run and play with a lot of heart.
  22. Under the bridge and ocean water. (This is such a heart warming discussion!) /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  23. No team can move forward by reaching into the past. Regardless of coach changes or player/parent decisions to play or not to play, teams and coaches have to look ahead and work toward the next game strategy with those willing to play.
