  1. thtruth, You say put all of the privates in the private school division. Fine. What do you do with public schools that let students transfer into there school and pay a tuition.. I say if you pay to go to a school, that school, whether it's a public or private school, then you go into a seperate division.
  2. Will Coach Williams change anything with the Devil offense for the upcoming season? It seems like we are running the same things for the last 10 years but we are running them better. Is that a fair statement to make?
  3. btgoG, In the NCAA you can return a 2 pt attempt for 2 points for the defense. Just in high school does the rule state the ball is dead. Same rule in overtime, in the state of Tennessee.
  4. An intercepted 2 point attempt is dead - you can't return it in HS football.
  5. Don't coaches put up some kind of diagramms that show routes for there players?
  6. Good luck to the Red Devils today - lets head to the BORO boys.
  7. Now I'm not sure about the baseball playoff system, but tonight's game vs. Farragut don't mean diddley squat does it. All it amounts to is deciding who has home field and who travels this coming Friday. If the above is true, why worry about tonight, save your best for Friday and that has the ticket to the state tournament stamped all over it.

    Bearden vs Halls

Hey BALL, Don't say I didn't warn you 'bout my boys from the Crossroads.

    Bearden vs Halls

Coach McNugget will have the boys from the crossroads ready for Bearden. Cocked, locked and ready to go. This will be only the third team Bearden has lost to. Go RED DEVILS, I'll be there to see ya pull off this upset!
  10. I have heard strong rumors that the T$$AA is looking at dividing the 3 classes up into 6 classes for football playoffs only, keeping the 3 classes in other sports.
  11. LSMFT

    Z Plan?

From the rumor I heard they have to split each of the 3 classes so they would have 6 classes in football. My question is why not do it for all sports? Aren't there more schools playing basketball and baseball than football in this state?
  12. Now here this...THIS IS JUST A RUMOR, but I heard from a very good source that all public schools will go into 3 classes, AAA, AA, A like they are now. Then during football season EACH class will split into 2 groups and we would have 6 state champs.
  13. Prayers from Halls to all families involved.
  14. Well sixsons, you have provided some very useful information to us red devil fans. Sophomore is the correct spelling for a 10 grader. And I think coaches at most schools in Knoxville read and post on CoachT.
  15. rapbwood, Our football programs in Knox County are run through the recreation departments in each area of the county and we have good football programs. blacknight, Now admittedly I don't know the rules for Ft. Campbell and Kentucky, but how can your son go to a public middle school in Tennessee and then play at Ft. Campbell when that is a military base and one would guess players would have to live on base to participate for the team?
  16. differentperspective, Before you go and attack me thinking I'm a distraught PE teacher, stop in your tracks Bubba. I had a PE teacher roll out the balls making us play indoor soccer, basketball, pickle ball, volleyball softball and flag football. AND we had a tournament in each and every sport. I also had a teacher in an academic subject that never taught from a book and passed out copied page after page of work. I never saw him grade a single paper except when he did the Gateway or a final exam. A good teacher can be found in a Physical Science class or in a Physical Education. In anatomy I was taught about the anal canal. Here is what I learned...everyone has one and they all stink to high heavens...just like you opinion. I am a graduate from UT with a major in HISTORY. But I do not want to teach...I want a job that will pay me what I'm worth and I don't have to listen to whiny-assed parents like you!!! I am waiting on being accepted to law enforcement, AKA the FBI.
  17. coach1076, You are exactly right my man. And guess who the lasr region lost Maryville had was against? THE Halls Crossroads Red Devils. And we have "IT" back, my friend.
  18. I will be for the urban-rural split when the T$$AA figures out a way for Austin-East to win the state GOLF championship. Now, when King Ronnie figures that out, you will have equality all acroos the state!
  19. 2priceless, How in the world can a board vote down a man that has won the last two 5A state titles? Then you say he was voted down TWICE before finally getting the thumbs up sign.
  20. Do you think any transfers will show up at MTCS from other schools in the general area. Don't accuse me of something cause I dont know the man. But I reported this months ago after hearing talk at the state 5A championship game. Now I wander what took so long?
  21. starsnbars, You weren't with them ole boys that made that funny money some years back wer ye. What bout the drankin episode whar ye lost ya reel goode runnin bac. Kep branging up Dr. Dehate - duece can play that game
  22. lPrayers to the Meadows family from Halls. I did not want to believe this when I heard it but after hearing the reasoning behind it, I totally understand. rebelron, looks like you were wrong in your original post. All of you Maryville people need to realize that other people in east Tenn. know some things ever now and then.
  23. Is that why Farragut is getting a new stadium?
  24. Maryville will be in the top class unless H*** freezes over. I heard they have over 1500 students now. I also heard they like the Z plan or Q plan or whatever playoff plan they are going to because they want have to travel much. What region will Maryville be in? They will either have to go to Chatt or Upper East Tenn. Man, that will ###### them off, cause the most they have gone in the last 10 years is Clinton.
  25. I looked at the link that was posted and that scenario is screwed up. You put schools regardless of size in a classification just because they are urban or rural. Some of those schools range in size from 300 to 1000. Now how in the world can that be fair? I say leave it like it is!
