I have much respect for both programs. Would like to see our region 5 foes bring home the title but honestly I think y’all just too strong for them. While I know FC is much better than when we played them it’s still a ways to go to get to y’all level. FC would need a perfect game and several miscues from SP. I have seen it before though. Best of luck to both teams and fans. Hope weather don’t factor in too much with turnovers

Agree. Since Huntingdon moves up and Wayne / Collinwood moves to 5 then it could possibly be a sweep of region 6 come playoffs next year.

I agree. Most Pirate fans I met a few years ago was great passionate fans. I enjoyed our trip there a few years ago. We got our butts whipped but it helped us the following 2 years. Even went to watch them play at CA the following week. SP like a lot of schools will have a few of those that like to set them up as unbeatable but I can promise you that Grider will have his team fully focused on FC. Sometimes when players read a bunch of crap on here about cakewalks they tend to go in more relaxed which can sometimes work against you. I don’t see it this year because it’s been too long for them to get here. I look for a good game between the 2 most deserving teams in 1A. Best of luck to both teams. I am pulling for our region 5 champs but with that said it will take a perfect game to upend the Pirates. They are a well rounded group that has improved greatly since halftime of Meigs game. Hoping for a great game and may the boys from each side give it their best. Win or lose I want to congratulate both teams for making it and representing their communities well. Understand that. I was confident we would win a couple years ago after watching our opponent but sometimes a lesser team pulls a rabbit out of the hat.

I’m not a city fan but I will disagree. FC is a different animal that what you saw. Missing players and the ones they picked up late in year make them a different team. With those ejected in our game we almost came back on them and we was just average this year. I think SP will win because they are a very good team this year but I believe FC will be the best team they have played in playoffs also.
