  1. Its not going to be what we are use to in HOG-EYE. They have a good post player and a good point guard, But I think this will be a struggling year for the Lady Cats. Hope I'm wrong. Of course you got to realize... A struggling year for the Cats isn't like others... A struggling year for the Lady Cats means they might have to work a little harder to get the gold, but with the coach that they have anything is possible... Guess we will have to sit back and watch Coach Smith work her magic. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  2. Allons looks ok, but haven't seem to find their grove just yet. I think they will be fine once they get their guards in control of the game. Should be able to play with and/or beat Hilham. Hilham girls look as good as the where last year or better (tnt state champs) Their returning point guard has grown alot over the summer. Coach Williams seems to be set for another successful season. Rickman isn't hardly has good as they were last year, but they will certainly hold their own in county play. I am sure Coach Miller will make a run for the county title and maybe even the state in his division. LMS should be good. They still have the Meadows girl that transfered in. She is a great guard and will also be good at the high school level later on.

  4. Todd Smith Chase Dunn Devon Ramsey Clint West Kedall Melton/TJ Smith Depending on the type of game will probably affect Coach Melton's starting line up. Losing Everly really isn't going to hurt the Wildcats. Don't get me wrong. Jordan had lots of ability and could have been great but the Cats are going to be just fine with out him.
  5. I agree with all of that. Not only will other teams be amazed by Dunn's magic, they will also be wondering how they are going to stop TJ Smith. TJ is an excellent all-round basketball player. He can do it all. He is the type of player to come into the game and score 10 or more straight points before the other team finds out what is going on. He might not fully explode this year, but trust me. . . He will. Chase Dunn is going to be the first guy from LA to get a major scholarship, but I look for TJ to have almost similar attention his senior year. I saw were Scrubbadub mention that Ramsey is getting better. Thats for sure. I saw Ramsey play a few times this summer. He is playing much more physical and is doing an excellent job on the boards. His defensive play has improved as well. I believe that Kendall Melton will get plenty of playing time this season. Yes, the Wildcats are deep at the guard position, but Kendall is also a big piece of the LA puzzle along with Justin Poston. A lot of people will be surprised as to how much guard Todd Smith has improved over the summer as well. LA is going to be able to breeze through the district, so its a good thing Coach Melton has loaded up their schedule with power-house AAA teams to help get them ready for the post season. We just might be surprised as to how well the Wildcats handle these big AAA schools. Coach Melton is doing an excellent job at LA. Like him or not, he does more than just win ball games. He pushes his young men to be the best they can be on and off the court. In the future this is going to give several of them the chance to play basketball and further their education at the college level.
  6. Just looked at LA's basketball schedule. There are several teams on there that I don't think Livingston usual plays. Looks like LA will have a very tough schedule in their quest for the State Tournament.
  7. Its like a Dream Team. I hope he can atleast get one Championship.
  8. I'm sure NASCAR made it rain just so they could help out Gordon. Lol Stunk for Said and Waltrip though. They had great times before it rained. Gordon finished 5th and stretched out his lead, that really doesn't mean much since they are going to reset the points.
  9. Or perhaps he is just one of the best drivers to ever race NASCAR. Don't see why us Earnhardt fans have to put the man down when we know deep down he is a good driver.
  10. Best of luck to LA in getting ready for a new season!!!
  11. I would not have the nerve to make that statement if I was Michael Gilpatrick. Everyone involved in the situation knows what really happened. Sounds to me like he knows he made a fool of himself and is trying to cover his rear. Coach Melton was told that "He would NOT be hired back as the basketball coach". And to beat it all they did it over the phone while he was on vacation. Its sad.
  12. Its great to see that the community got behind their Coach and supported him in getting what was his in the first place. Its hard to believe that stuff like this happens, but it does. Its hard to say that those select few want what is best for the kids when they try to get rid of a coach like this one.
  13. With summer camps just around the corner, I figured now would be a good time to talk about the outlook for next season. What are some of the camps that some of the district teams will be going to this summer. Keep us posted on how everything goes for all the 7AA teams this summer. What teams and what players are looking good and working hard?
  14. LA can win this one, but they will have to play better than they did against BTW. I thought that game was a little sloppy. LA wins this one by 12.
  15. LA by 3 in OT....../smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  16. Leave it to you to say something like that.... Whoever wins the last one is all that matters...
  17. Thats not a bad idea.... But I don't think it will ever happen...
  18. There isn't much else we can say about Coach Carr. She resigned, when out on top of her game. Congrats and good luck in what ever you do in the future. The school is losing a great coach. But that is her decision. Am I going crazy or has all of BballJunky's posts disappeared? Maybe the shame is starting to set in...?
  19. "and if you buy that, I'll throw the Golden Gate in free...." Good try, where did the post go?
  20. Yup, great game it was. Ferris gave the lady wildcats all they could handle, I wonder if they will still say "she is no Parker" in next weeks newspaper. This girl will be amazing to watch the next 3 years. Looks like the Lady Wildcats will carry that HOG-EYE tradition to the next level once again.
