Mr. Patton, welcome to Williamson County. What happened to Proctor and you're son? Hopefully they're not injured bad? I know I come across as a smart arse sometimes but this is what its like most of the time in southern Region 6. Indy is probably the team to beat in the county and the region.

Actually, I just enjoy pulling you guy's chain cause ya'll have such a "hype" machine. By the way, you could call me a Williamson County fan but not neccasarily a Brentwood fan. I think Independence is the team to beat out of Region 6.

Is it possible that the landscape changing in Rutherford County has as much to do with Riverdale's performance(more schools, etc...) as coaching? Diluting the talent base can be a big issue - remember that ravenwood and brentwood were combined just 5 years ago. just a thought.

No Offense Patton's Boy's Dad - But I'll believe your son's top 30 ranking when I see him go out of state and wrestle on a national basis like Croy, Young, and Hooker have. There is a big difference between being ranked in a magazine article and finishing as an All American at Fargo(and also winning Reno) like Croy has. They are 2 different tests if you ask me. I'm glad u guys have such a good relationship with the Croys. It makes losing easier. I must admit, you Blackman guys have got a hype machine that rivals the red, purple, and blue machines.

I saw Cameron Croy at the Independence/Brentwood fball game the other night. He told me he is probably going 215 as he is just about their in weight. Might that mess up the rankings?

And we did see Friday night. 1. Franklin did not play 4 quarters. 2. Team paniced and the coach paniced. Brentwood didn't panic. 3. Play calling on Franklins last drive with 45 seconds was pathetic 4. What happened to the 2 minute offense Franklin ran at the end of the 2nd quarter? 5. Turnovers as usual were key in this game as they were in last years 6. Franklin fans looked stupid in Camo an Black. Wear your school colors 7. Franklin has more talent - Brentwood is a better team 8. Brentwood's coach is better 9. Both teams will play again in the playoffs most of the posts on this topic are hilarious.

Tough teams for next year? Anybody to weigh in: Here's my thoughts: 1. Bradley County - They don't rebuild - they reload 2. Brentwood - 3 underclassmen finalists and 3 other underclass state qualifiers. They're depth will just make them better and better 3. Cleveland - Ditto the same things about Brentwood. I hope these 2 meet in a dual match next year! 4. Soddy - they'll be back with a bunch of good young kids 5. Greenback - great tournament for a small school 6. Blackman will get better but they're hampered by being in a weak region. They're studs semis(patton and kennedy) were owned by brentwood. Proctor will have a great year if he can stay healthy Just my thoughts. Everybody add on.

I'm hope these teams get to wrestle again at the region duals with a decent referee. the match was horribly refereed. croy from brentwood clearly had the overton 189 kid pinned and there were other mistakes made on both sides. not taking anything away from Overton's win but it was a horribly refereed match. The match deserved one of Middle TN's better referees like McCool, Rick ..., Gannon, or Williams to name a few. Congratulations Overton but the Bruins will be back....

why would i be jealous about paying $14,000. put the test scores of the 2 schools against each other and see who wins = BHS hands down. They would win on the mat also.

There are those of us in Brentwood who wrestle for Brentwood High School. Brentwood High School is located down the street from the jock school and actually has kids that can wrestle and obtain academic excellence. werazzlin who are you? I too have watched Brennan wrestle for several years and think has a chance to compete for multiple state championships(starting next year) but this year I don't think he is a big dog. I don't think he is a small dog either. Maybe he is like a bulldog. Not as big as a lab but not as small as a pomeranian..... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I know his family loves wrestling but I don't see other parents promoting their kids. If it is not dad, its his big brother. My point was that Brennan is good enough to stand on his own 2 feet without any family promotion. I don't see other parents promoting their freshman like Martino, Duncan, Hooker, Bauke, Hoop, ..... As always this is my opinion and everyone is entitled to one. I think Brennan is a fine young man and I wish him well.

Whichever Cox this is, do you have to keeping tooting Brennan's horn? Brennan is a good young wrestler and will compete for state championships. If you really wanted to see how good he was, he should have been at Father Ryan where the big boys with names like Konz, Cash, Marchetti were. Brennan wrestles in the 5th place match there. Congrats on winning the Ravenwood tournament but stops the rah rah!

Hoop did not wrestle Sims at McCallie. He told me this was the 1st time they wrestled. As for fighting for everything he got, Hoop was up 9-1 or 9-2 before Sim even knew what hit him. It looked to me like was Hoop was up 14-3 or and than just stalled the rest of the way. I was really interested in this match and thought it might be the match of the evening. After watching it, Sims is strong but not "technically" strong. You don't head throw and choke out good wrestlers and Hoop was fundamentally much better. Hoop's dad told me he probably won't wrestle again until the Liberty Nationals and the Indy Nationals.
