Was something wrong with the running back that took it to the house, but called back for holding. I only remember him with that one run. May b wrong on that, but touchdown run looked like he was a gamer.

I honestly think it goes to support the cost to run it for McMinn and MCentral sports.

Red Bank has been very athletic over the past couple of years, so to shut them out the first half is pretty impressive. McMinn QB is a solid player, but if secondary for Cleveland is solid and LB can eye the QB, I feel Cleveland can come out on top.

I feel Central will find more success offensively this Friday. Would like to see the defense step up and get on track.

I thought Central did pretty good the 2nd half of York scrimmage. Looked a little shell shocked the first half. Remember, against Seq. They fumbled first possession allowing Seq to score from around the 10. After that Seq could do nothing offensively until 1st drive of 2nd half. Central scored pretty much every possession, with 3 being called back.

This is based on seeing both teams.

Who should win every year?

York seemed to be a decent team. They are not even close to being the caliber of Meigs County. I did think they had some good looking athletes. Loving football season.

I have watched Central a couple of times in scrimmages and the offense looks like it will be able to put up some points this year. I have no clue about McMinn other than they are really down from last year. Thoughts?

I feel the Chargers will score some points this year. The energy at the scrimmage was good, and the kids played hard. I see this team having a more successful season as last year as well. Right now this bunch just needs to compete!!

Meigs County Not because they are not good people, it is just that it's an awful place to have to play. Tough to get a victory at that place.

I get it! I understand both arguments. I was on the side of merging when Pineknot and Dalton played for the simple reason, I felt the teams we were playing at Englewood were not that strong. I also understood that in order for them to get better they needed to play better competition. We played for the Knights two years before Pineknot went back to Englewood for his eighth grade season. I felt it helped him though. The other side of it is that Englewood loses the rich tradition of their football program. I do like the the middle school program. I think it can be beneficial if ran correctly.

They have a big group of sophomores returning for their upcoming junior season. Don't be surprised if you see a few more athletes come out. Did the upcoming Freshman group not have a pretty good season? I for one think the boys will have a good year upcoming.
