  1. Yeah. Just like he couldn't win without Platillero's players.
  2. So for the first time in FOREVER there were 6 public schools and only 2 private schools in the tournament. Yet still all you do is complain. You didn't hear private schools saying "Man, 6 spots taken by publics and only 2 for privates! MAKE A SPLIT! This is unfair!" I, for one, wish there was a split so we wouldn't have to listen to the endless whining.
  3. And why are you talking so much smack to him? He has been very kind in his responses to you. This just shows your true colors.
  4. Wow. Seriously? It has nothing to do with embarrassment. It has to do with humility. BigG has NEVER bragged about his winning on this site, even though he could. For the record, when he was coaching, he won 6 state titles with the boys in 8 years.
  5. I agree with Champs. Do you also feel the same disdain for magnet schools? Central Magnet? Merrol High Magnet?
  6. Shouldn't this say "Let's Go Public Schools!!! See, I can use big fonts, too.
  7. You are rooting for CCS? Thought that was your rival!
  8. Is this because you play for Dyersburg and you are in their side of the bracket?
  9. Dekalb vs. Smith County 4-0 on April 19, 20012 Dekalb vs. Smith County 6-1 on May 7, 2012 What is the difference between these games and yours vs. CCS?
  10. So let me get this straight. Privates win, so they need to get out of the divison. Better get rid of Alcoa football while your at it. (and Maryville for that matter) Privates have open zones. Alcoa has open zones. (again Maryville as well) Private schools have good facilities. Alcoa certainly has good facilities. Private schools have good coaches. I believe that coach Rankin seems to know what he is doing. (as does Maryville's coach) It just does not add up to me. For every reason to get rid of private schools, there is a public school that fits that description. In this case, Alcoa football fits almost all of those descriptions. Perhaps they are screaming for them to be kicked out on the football boards; i don't know.
  11. I agree with Kingsbury moving above CPA because of head to head. My "beef" was that there are some ranked teams that have a very good record, but don't play near as hard of a schedule than teams with a lesser record. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter. Rankings are fun, and give us something to talk about, but don't win any games for any team.
  12. Please please PLEASE, whoever is making these rankings, would you consider the strength of schedule when making the rankings.
  13. I think with all of the "discussion" from a previous and now deleted thread, that this game could get quite interesting.
  14. That wasn't what I was doing. I don't have a dog in this fight. I was interested in seeing the type of opponent that Page played, and didn't recognize many of them. I also looked at the records of those opponents, and saw that the numbers weren't too impressive. I tried to compare them to some of the stronger teams in the state, and those numbers made more sense to me;or at least were more impressive. i am sorry if I wasn't too clear with that.
  15. CAK's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 104-74-23 Notre Dame's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 96-53-18 CCS's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 119-81-20 Page's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 68-58-16
  16. Multiplied or non-multiplied? I am not trying to be smart, but I don't know what the A to AA cut off is, and with the multiplier, it would make a difference. So; 12 of the 16 schools in sectionals were public. 3 of the 4 schools in the state semifinals were public. 50% of the schools in the state finals are public. Yet, we still need a change?
  17. Well, boy was I wrong. Oh well. I think that puts Carter in the #1 spot. I guess that means Alcoa gets to face Seymour again; unless something unexpected happens. Peanut, give coach G some slack. Any man that plays video games at his age has tendencies to get a bit confused. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> At least he isn't into Pokemon!
  18. Mark is TOUGH and talented, but Alcoa is used to very talented players (they play a MUCH harder regular season schedule than does Carter). Alcoa has tough forwards, as well. Overall, I say the advantage, across the field, at least in my humble opinion, goes to Alcoa. I do think that they will not be able to shut Mark completely down, but I am going with; ALCOA 3 CARTER 1
  19. I have seen Coach Gorman in the stands of our games this year, and he actually has a rather conservative hair cut. The young Mr. Chesney, who celebrated his birthday yesterday in the CAK vs. Oliver Springs game, could use a trim, however! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Eurosport rankings and mjuhbs rankings are somewhat similar in A/AA. Basically same top 10, but in different order. I like how mjuhb is including Carter in the mix; they have won or tied some pretty competitive teams. Maybe they have been left off of the eurosport because they dont list their entire schedule on there? I also wonder if eurosport considers strength of schedule, or if they just go by record and previous years' results.
  20. This could actually be a really good game. Lenoir City ties Bearden, and Loudon has beaten Catholic. Both teams have shown that they are capable of playing with some of the big teams around Knoxville. I haven't seen Lenoir City play, however, so it is tough to judge. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Loudon takes this one on a goal in the 76th minute: 2-1.
  21. Farragut will take this game. With Tanner out and their starting keeper injured, I don't think that West will have enough to take Farragut. Not only do they lose Tanner on the pitch, but also his throw ins. On Farragut's narrow field, this would have been deadly.
  22. Great game! It was really fun to watch. I thought Loudon really had them on their heels for the first 10 minutes. Boy, some of their players can dribble quite well! Their keeper sure put on a show, too. What year is he? I know he played for them last year, but I don't think he is a senior. I hope Heath is ok. I heard he had a concussion. I'm sure he'll get back to normal soon. He is built tough! I also thought it was a pretty clean game. Loudon played hard, but fair. The one tackle that Heath was involved in looked worse that it was. Just get him some of that Brazillian soda you guys love so much, and he'll be up in no time! Good game, Loudon, and good luck with the rest of your matches. To the Warriors, I'll see you on the sidelines tomorrow night! Hope it doesn't get rained out!
