  1. I don't know how you expected harriman to be more dominant this year? On offense they lost their quarterback, 4 of their 5 starting offensive lineman, and both tight ends. On defense they lost 3 of 4 D lineman, all 4 starting LB's, one corner, and their safety!
  2. OS is too big and physical for the Indians. Oneida lost too much off last years team. OS will go 9 - 1 this year.
  3. With the schedule OS has this year there should be no reason they don't go 8-2, 7-3 at the worst. Come on look at who they're playing! Hancock, Oakdale, Jellico, Sunbright, Wartburg, Clay County. Midway lost Poe and Ray. Coalfield was down last year and I don't see them making huge gains this year. Oneida will be the only team they play with a winning record at the end of regular season.
  4. how long's he been coaching?
  5. South Of the River you can go to the south of the river sports network.com it's a pretty good sight.
  6. What games have been moved from the 31st to the 30th?
  7. oneida has a higher enrollment than harriman. I've not seen many region championships going up 27 the last few years. I guess since it's time to reclassify the bus to scott high will start rolling, and the vocational kids will show up on scotts enrollment too.
  8. Sorry if someone has already spoken about this. I just glanced through all the post today for the first time. How has the QB from last year recovered from his knee injury? He looked like a leader on the team. I was told it was a really bad, and he might not get back to play this year.
  9. How long does Chip "I played at UT" Strickland make it at any school. Should I say CAK (0-20). Only staying at a school for a year or two is NOT how General Neyland or Coach Fulmer does it. I guess he didn't soak it up like a sponge from them! By the way he did play at UT just ask him, never mind he'll tell you.
  10. I heard through the vine that Coach Kreis has handed in his letter of resignation and it was accepted. If so Coalfield has lost a great one.
  11. A friend of mine is a high school coach. He has told me several times that he has asked an official if he saw something and got the reply yes coach, but thats not my call. If you see it call it!
  12. I don't care if Oneida is A or AA. I was only stating a fact. If you look at the numbers as they are now Oneida would go AA. Maybe next year they should get the bus warmed up to send a few kids back to the county. My team is already AA
  13. I wasn't implying that Oneida won't have a chance in 2A. I was only stating that they will probably be placed in AA when they reclassify. You comparing this or even next years teams to the 93-94 teams is ludicrous, there is no comparison. Oneida already played Rockwood from region 2 and lost. Rockwood will probably finish 3rd or 4th in the region. If Oneida was placed into region 1 AA they would easily make the playoffs. Oneida is a great program with loads of tradition and class.
  14. Until the next reclass. when they will go to 2A.
  15. I've seen both teams play this year and Loudon spreads the field and has quick kids. I think they will be to athletic for the tigers. I say Loudon by 14.
  16. Looks like all the coalfield "fans" have jumped from the bandwagon!
  17. What's up with Coalfield? I have seen both teams play this year and I thought Coalfield would win hands down. Maybe Coalfield should bring back the offensive coordinator from last year. After 4 games they have only scored 62 points, only 29 if you take away the 33 against the 0-3 bulldogs. Several games last year they scored that many in the first half. I was told that after the Oneida game coach Kris didn't even come to practice or school until Thursday /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> ???
  18. Yes scott has really dominated morgan county. What's Oneida against the jackets????? 0-6. scott high is AAA, they should beat a AA school year in and year out. They can't compete against other AAA so they have to play down to pad their schedule.
  19. You're correct pujo. Cloudland a first place team did put out a 4th place oliver springs team. If I recall it was a close game. However, they never made it past the second round even if they did "give Austin East all they wanted". As far as Hampton, the only thing that matters is the final score and Webb won.
  20. What does west and middle tennessee have to do with upper east? I said that upper east was generally weaker than the rest of the state! I very seriously doubt that the second best team is from upper east because it's usually the region 2 and 3 teams putting each other out in the second and third rounds after the region 1 teams are at the house!
  21. I know they would not be in region 2. I have enough sense to know that they would be in 1. All i'm saying is that you people think that Hampton is the second coming of JC (and not coach Campbell). You go on about how they dominate bigger schools and how they kill one eyed giants. All I'm saying is that if Hampton was not in upper east tennesse you would be on here saying how glad you are that they made the playoffs this year. You would be singing how they would go beat a team from region 1 and get put out in round 2 by some other region 2 team after they sweep region 1. At the end of the 09 season when hampton is playing in the classification they should be in and wins the weak #### region and gets put out in round 1 by the 4th place region 2 team just remember I told you so! I ask again when was the last time a team in any classification from upper east tennessee won a state championship? I'll tell you Tennessee in 1972
  22. bobcatfan26 must be from suckhollow or slab town!
  23. I'll give Hampton their dues. They're a very good ball team. But you've got to admit that top to bottom region 2A is better than 1A. Just look at the past years and how often 1 gets put out by 2. Until region 1 or 2 can get past region 4 what does it really matter anyway! As far as your comments about Alcoa your right. I have seen all of the region 2AA teams play. I'd venture to say that Loudon, Sweetwater, Rockwood and Oliver Springs until the last couple years would have no problem with Hampton. And yes I have seen Hampton play the last two years. The Oliver Springs teams under Johnson would knock your teeth out. They were the last region team to beat Alcoa. If you want to talk numbers Hampton 443 Rockwood 455 Aloca 473 Oliver Springs 492 Harriman 301 Midway 268 Oneida 424 largest in region Coalfield 227
