If they get that kind of help at home games I can see how they're 6-2. Sequatchie played a bad game-gave up third and long several times, and.lots.more.problems but they still did enough to stay in the game. The referees were repeatedly huddling after plays to figure out if it was a catch, where the ball should be spotted, and so on. On the play mentioned Stone seemed to fumble, Sequatchie recovers, referee signals Sequatchie ball and the offense gets out on the field-and then there is a discussion and Stone.keeps the ball. Just as bad, the play was on first down and the referees forget it should be second down. There was so much more, inconsistency on pass interference calls, blatant holding in the open field clearly visible and uncalled. I was told this was the same crew that tried to cheat Sequatchie at CCS earlier if so it's no surprise. That one (a win) and this one were two of the worst I've seen.

The area officials' supervisor needs to watch the film of this game.

Rhea is doing well so there is no reason for people to get on here moaning and fussing.

Kicker is huge weapon this year for Seq.

I predict within two years SC will pass Lkt Valley and be giving Whitwell a good game too, among district opponents.

Boyd is a 2A playoff team and is not in Class AA/3A because of a technicality.

Probably excited in general it was still anyone's game at that point late in second and the hit heped end a drive. Seq has to cut out all the five yarders and near five yarders that still leave the play and/or formation out of whack, players coming in or exiting late. They cost several times and offense and defense.

Kicker is doing a great job, taking out a kick return nearly each time is a huge weapon. 22 had one of his best games considering the opponent and the big game atmosphere. 2 also had some good plays.

Marion responded to fumble returned for a TD much better than Seq did their own fumble returned for a TD. They did not do a good job vs the run but had the lead midway through the third, the old cliche' of still learning how to win vs the good opponents is true in their case. They had a great series after briefly taking the lead with a five yard loss, a sack, and a 15 yard run after the punt but the fumble return deflated the team and crowd.

Playing Signal helped Seq earn a tie with Silverdale and playing those two helped them to a large margin over Central. They will be underdogs in the district but hopefully will play to their potential.

I have had more people this week start up conversations or ask an opinion than any in years including rivalry with Bledsoe and the hyped game with Signal a couple of years ago. Does that mean a win or even a close game, no, but it's a measure of what kind of crowd is coming and their excitement.

Folks should stop worrying about Ensworth and the rest since they're in a separation division. Are players lost to Division II sure but at least teams aren't hurt twice by having to face them.
