Stockpiling locals has been tried previously and did not work. You're not going to get a Von Bell unless for some reason such a player transfers back home. It would be nice but it just isn't going to happen. It's easy to rate a player like that highly but after that there often is not a lot of difference in ability. Warren, I don't know if he was offered or not but they certainly evaluated him. Same for Gatewood and others in this class. The program is continuing to move up, whether it's filled with locals or not, and they get a few good ones each year. It's not a Carson-Newman which might have 50 entering freshmen with many of those not returning for year 2.

where do the "bad students" go especially if they start turning other schools "bad" with low test scores and high drop out rates?

Are you footing the bill when some schools become overcrowded as a result and their solution is just build more (like is happening over there currently)?

I didnt see any junior college players on last fall's roster. I may have overlooked some. They had 5 that played in schools in Hamilton Co that I would call good to very good FCS college players, more if you count N Georgia and Cleveland area, etc. There have been dozens signed over the years that were letdowns due to talent, grades attitude or any combination. Who have they missed out on lately that they did not offer and did well elsewhere, not counting those signing with high level FBS teams? It is probably not many.
