well, the game in question, i believe it was a wilson county team played (oh i can't remember). That was the rumor. I like the idea of the ref and coach switching positions and giving two quick T's and $250 fine. AGain, I wasn't at the game and this could be a nasty rumor.

In a blowout game last night, a referee blew his whistle stopped the game and made the other team stop pressing. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

what is the likely hood of these two teams plyaing each other for the championship? And has there ever been two teams from the same district playing for a state championship.

Could Shelbyville possibly run throught the state tourney beating everyone by 25 plus points. Has a team ever done that?

if you looked at other states and their touney formats, you could come up with a better state tourney. There is no reason why two teams in the same district must play each other 4-5 times just to get to the state. In my opinion the best basketball is usually played in the region tourney, when the best basketball should be in the state. I hate going to a state tourney game and watching a 20 plus blowout, when those teams should have been eliminated earlier. The downfall of this format (which is used in TX) would be the amount of travel and some would complain that the possibility of having 4 teams from the same district make it to the state tourney. Which, If these teams are the best then they should go and this would allow different teams and districts competing against each other every year instead of having to play the same ole people 4 to 5 times a year, or see the same ole other district in your region. It would be interesting to see the number 4 seed of district 1 play the 1 seed of district 2, 3 seed of district 1 play 2 seed of district 4, and so on. Take these teams after their districts and let em play all over the state, and let the survivors come to the state tourney. I guess we have to appease everyone by allowing so many teams from the east, middle, and west. But it sure makes for some ugly state tourney games.

Hmm, this has been an interesting regional. I didn't think it would turn out this way, but I didn't even think the scores would be close, much less the outcomes. I felt LaVergne and Smyrna would win, as would Mt. J and Central. Just goes to show the that the whichever district hosts the regional tourney usually has the most success. NOt sure why, and you can sure throw out the other games when it comes tourney time. Beech beat NE twice fairly easily during the regular season. You just never know.

with the conservative nature of the UMC medical staff, I would say she is very healthy or they would not have cleared her to play.
