  1. If you are naive enough to think that then you are making yourself look bad! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  2. Well then why were both Bud and Campbell going to watch Jasmine play in middle school at Walter J. Baird? None of those girls werer zoned to go to Wilson Central not even Hassell. Oh wait, A RECRUITING TRIP. Just like they tried to recruit Lebanon Freshman Marissa Jennings to come to Wilson Central as well. If I am not mistaken Southside and West Wilson are zoned for Wilson Central. Funny that Bud and Campbell always end up at Walter J. games. I am sure they are already hot on the trail of their next recruiting class.
  3. No Jealousy, just the facts. Both Wasson and Hassell practiced with Lebanon in the summer prior to their freshmen year. Then after some persuading, since you don't want to call it recruiting, were persuaded to go to Wilson Central. So they started their high school career elsewhere. Congratulations to Wilson Central for Recruiting and for throwing your region final game on your way to a State Title. Congrats on another Tainted Title.
  4. If the Wilson County Board of Education had any backbone whatsoever, "Should Be"!
  5. Wilson Central had 4 players score in the State Championship Game. All four should be playing at another school. 3 at Lebanon and one at Mt Juliet. 3 of the 4 started their high school career playing for another school. To say that WC does not recruit is a false statement.
  6. I was an unbiased fan at the Antioch vs Hillsboro game last night. Here are a few observations. - Antioch is the most athletic team I have seen this season. Tahj Wells and Michael McAdoo could be the best post combination in the mid state in the last 10 years. - The officiating, or lack thereof, was the main contributing factor to the game getting out of hand in the 2nd half. The calls were terribly inconsistent. A hand check on one end would be called but a two handed shove or a blatant elbow on the other end would go unnoticed. There was pushing and shoving going on, but it was because the officials lost control of the game. - If the Antioch player deserved to be ejected, so did the player from Hillsboro! However, when a player is ejected he is supposed to be sent to the locker room. The ejected player remained on the bench the rest of the game. Antioch is supremely talented and athletic. We will see how they fare against Wilson Central on Monday night. It will be much closer than their game against Hillsboro.
  7. Riverdale, no where to be found in the top 40, dominated number 12 ranked Shelbyville in a scrimmage on Thursday. Once again no respect given by mjuhb to the Warriors. They will turn a lot of heads this season after a disappointing one last year. I hope that is why they are not ranked- because of last season. Let it be known, last year is over.
  8. Good points made here. However, with Hammonds back Siegel is a much more formidable opponent for the Golden Eagles. The difference in this game in my opinion is how much of a factor Montori Hughes will be in the paint. I am not necessarily talking about him scoring, but his physical presence inside and the rebounding advantage he gives to the Stars. Shelbyville's guards, across the board, are better than Siegel. Andrews and Cutter are comparable, both will be D1 college players, Cutter already committed and Andrews is well on his way as a super sophomore. Hammonds and France or Haile will battle it out, Twilley and Nance will be going at one another as well. I think this will be a very exciting high school game. I am going with Shelbyville over the Stars by 5. 71-65.
  9. No way Demario King is in the top 10 in the district. He did not even play the first half of the season, and being able to dunk does not make you All District. Everyone else on the list is pretty solid, but King over Xavier Smith, no one from Cookeville, Paul Stephens, Michael Young etc. His mentioning almost discredits the rest of your list.
  10. The clutch performers tonight for White County were the men in the black and white stripes. Typical. 26 fouls with four Riverdale starters fouling out and two missed calls in the last 20 seconds. That is why White County can't win anywhere but White County.
  11. Was this transfer a big contributor to their team or was he just a role player?
  12. I would venture to say that your freshmen didn't play any Murfreesboro schools in middle school. Level of competition would attribute to the losses. 7 AAA is a tough league. I thought Warren County was getting better until I saw the score from Friday night. Definitely a big step in the wrong direction.
  13. Doug Keil is as classy a coach as there is in the midstate. When did Warren County take their starters out? How long did Lebanon leave their starters in before they subbed? Sounds like a sore loser to me. 8 straight turnovers to start the second half against Lebanon's press. Great halftime adjustments by Coach Smith. I bet you wish Coach Keil was still at Warren County. You can bet he would know how many time outs he has at the end of the game. Classless.....get a clue.
  14. White County at home by 20. Riverdale beat Cookeville by 13 and White County is a lot better than the Warriors. The Cavaliers will not be able to sit back in a 2-3 zone against WC. Look for Puckett to have a big game inside. Should be a great atmosphere with Cookeville coming off a big win and WC undefeated.
  15. Willie Kemp and Wayne Chism were pretty dang good as well. That is a heck of a 1-2 punch in my opinion.
  16. White County by double digits- 78-63
  17. Temple's team last year had much more talent in its starting five than CSAS this year. They didn't need depth.
  18. Oakland's freshmen played at Riverdale last night and were beaten 82-56. Riverdale was up 57-28 at the half.
  19. Central will be without 5 or 6 of their top 9 players due to football, but they will still be very competitive with Clemons, Woodard, and Palmer. Siegel probably does get the edge, but I don't think it will be by 10.
  20. How did Siegel do with Beech tonight?
  21. I think any team in this district could lose to just about anyone without 3 or 4 of their best players, actually make that 5 with Tate's defection to Siegel. Once Akers, Courier, Weaver, and Hennigan return Cookeville will be tremendously better. Will any or all of these be back Friday against Shelbyville? If not it could get ugly. As far as Siegel, is the McNicholas (sp?) kid from Louisiana still on the team? I have not heard his name mentioned in any of the posts.
  22. Who did they play? What other teams were at the Siegel playday?
  23. How has Columbia done in the preseason thus far? I know they play Riverdale in a Hall of Fame game on Thursday.
