I agree with you on the part about getting in the weight room. However aerobic exercise (running long distance) is not entirely beneficial to the anaerobic athlete (football player). There needs to be more of an emphasis placed on anaerobic exercise such as hill runs, sprints, footwork drills, etc.

Not sure Scales is much of an outside threat? Or a basketball player for that matter? But he is a tremendous athlete that uses his speed to his advantage everywhere.

That is partially true. Had those three schools been in region 5, they along with Hendersonville would have been in the playoffs. But it's pretty much the same every year, where the 5th and 6th place teams in region 6 would have made they playoffs had they been in region 5.

Region 4 and and region 6. And if memory serves me right the past 4 state champions and runner-ups (with the exception of runner-up Oak Ridge in 05) have all been from these two regions. Clearly the best 5a football is between these two regions.

There hasn't been a 5a team from west Tenn is the championship game since Germantown 5 years ago. It will be a team from region 6 (either Franklin or Brentwood) from the west side of the bracket. No way does a team from Memphis play in the 5a state final!

If Darkwa or Jefferson are semi-contained, BA will come out with a 14 point victory. However if one of them (or both) runs wild on BA's defense then Ensworth by 14. My pick is Ensworth by 14.
