McCallie will win but they won't score 35 points. Blackman's defense is better than that.

Shelbyville experience will be too much for Giles to handle.

Very good win for Community. This is a real boost in their confidence after going 0-10 last year. They probably didn't score over 50 points all year last year and they did the first game this year. Their hard work in the off season and the new coach having the time to work with them is showing. However, Cannon must be really, really bad this year. May be worse than last year. They will go 0-10 again.

Nothing against Coach Watson, he is a great choice. Why did it take a committee to figure that out? Does Blackman have an AD to assist the Principal or was Coach Shadowens the AD? Why did they go through the interview process if they knew Coach Watson was going to get it?

Of course it looks better if you are a 6A school. Look at how many 6A vs. 5A match ups you have in that 1st round. Very few 5A schools would get through the first round.

I couldn't wait to see who the Giles parents were going to blame it on this morning. Not a word on congratulating a very good Shelbyville on winning until WiseOldManGiles got on here (who, by the way, seems to be a class act). Blaming it on the coaches is crazy. You've got a good football team but you got beat by a better team and by one of the best Quarterbacks in the state. If you are making the same comments in front of your kids it will carry over to the team and ruin the potentially good season. They read these boards too. Daddys need to stick to being daddys and let the coaches do the coaching. Good luck the rest of the year.

Looks like Canadian Football League

8AAA might be stronger overall than it has been in several years. Several teams will be better this year. Shelbyville should be the favorite but each week will be a dogfight. Will be fun to watch.

Scott is correct on Shelbyville, FC, and Lawrence Co. The school Principals understand how to build a program and it takes time, patience, and support from the administrators even when times are tough. Each one of those Principals made sound decisions in choosing their coach and have supported them.
