  1. East Lit has very good young players. They may be a year or two away from being their best, but I would not be at all surprised to see them give some district teams fits this year.
  2. I don't think you can put this district ahead of the Rutherford County district, the Wilson/Sumner County district, or the Williamson/Davidson County district. There are some very good teams in Lipscomb's district, but I think you're getting a little carried away. Just my opinion.
  3. Gibson County should be interesting to watch this year with the addition of McMillan...that is a lot of good coaching on one bench! Dyer County has a lot of good shooters but not much size. Westview is Westview...they are good every year and well coached to boot. I really like the sophomore they've got.
  4. I agree with you about Franklin, but I think Hillsboro is probably the most talented team in that district. Independence has a really good sophomore that played AAU this summer (can't remember her name), and the 6'4 girl at Ravenwood will change games with her size if she is as good as I've heard. Sounds like a lot of good young players in that district.
  5. Although Riverdale lost Anne Marie Lanning, I think they will still be strong this year...good young players and a great coach. I think Cookeville, with the post player (Helton is her name, I think), will be tough as well. This is always a tough district, and this year should be no different.
  6. I don't even know who this coach is, but that is some bad timing if they got fired at this time of year.
  7. I think the 6'4" girl at Ravenwood is going to be a difference maker. Is she as good at basketball as she is at volleyball?
  8. Who is better this year between Livingston Academy, Upperman, and York? How would you rate them?
  9. I've got Ensworth in this one...just a hunch.
  10. With all due respect, the Supreme Court felt differently. If you go back and read the judgement, you will see that the letter, and specifically the contents of the letter, played a major role in this case.
  11. Is there such a thing as private school officials and public school officials? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Also, someone earlier said that in over 30 years no one had ever proven that BA recruited. I believe the Supreme Court recently found BA to have used "undue influence" when Carlton Flatt sent that letter...is that not the same thing?
  12. Ravenwood takes this one, although Centennial is much improved under their new coach.
  13. Ensworth wins this one easily. JPII is not very good this year.
  14. This ought to be another great DII matchup. I have not seen Ryan play this year, but they are obviously having a tremendous season, and their coach is doing a great job of re-establishing that program. Ensworth is a solid, if not spectacular team, and their speed could present problems for the Irish. However, I am going with Father Ryan in this one-just on a hunch.
  15. Could Franklin possibly miss the playoffs due to this loss, or will they end up as a #4 seed? They seem to be too good a team to miss the playoffs, but I know this region is pretty competitive.
  16. This should be an exciting game between two of the best, if not the best, teams in DII this year. My pick is BA by 7+ due to their outstanding defensive line. Having two new coaches involved takes a little of the fun out of this rivalry for me...I always looked forward to seeing Rutledge and Flatt compete against each other. Maybe Potter and McGugin will develop into a matchup equally as intriguing.
  17. This was a hard fought game and the start of a fantastic rivalry. It will be interesting to see if this rivalry will eventually have greater significance than the MBA-Ryan or MBA-BA rivalries. My guess is that it will.
