Is Gilbert playing hurt? His stats were so impressive at the first of the season, but not as good in the second half! Anyone know if he's injured?

How many yards did Gilbert have the first time Milan played JCS?

Does that many shutouts mean the second team is just as good, or they don't get much PT?

Milan was twice the size of Westview at every position. WOW! Westview's defensive line must average about 90 pounds

I think the main point here, is who would JCS rather play...Milan 20 miles down the road, or some private 150-200 miles away. It will not be as much fun for anyone in the program....but the more I learn about the Z-plan, that is what it's all about. separation of public/private.

how could anyone in their right mind say anything negative about this team or coaching staff. Until proven otherwise, this is the best team and staff in Tennessee on any level. What they've done and are still doing will will be legendary one day.

I think you're right on time on that one...Westview can't feel very good about their passing game against Milan after what happened two weeks ago. Griggs got going pretty good late in the game running straight ahead. I think you'll see him running straight ahead Friday night! IMO the Chargers need to make this a short game and capitalize on Milan mistakes. I think that's their only chance for an upset!

i hope it inspires gilbert to play harder. as fast as he got out of the gates at the first of the season, his numbers have dropped off big time since the USJ game. I don't think the O-line has played as well either. not sure why. not taking anything away from Gilbert. He is a great player...but stats speak for themselves.

would loved to se huntingdon put the smack down on USJ....could another Huntingdon-Milan classic be in the making? that would be awesome!

With back-to-back state titles, I think Sims has to be the guy here. There's been lots of great ones. Ricky Fisher might have been the best pure quarterback. Paul Poole was probably the most accurate passer in Milan history. Kevin Ward was solid, but mostly handed the ball to Ernest Fields. And folks, Justin Coleman is quietly posting one of most efficient football resume's in MHS history.

This will be a tight game. Milan hasn't been able to run the ball since the USJ game. The Dogs really have nothing to lose, and might hold some key players out that are a little banged up. WV will be ready and this one will be close..

please explain how milan stops themselves. Only 5 turnovers all season. Milan is averaging 42 points per game. They have punted only six times in five games. Not sure what you mean

With gas prices they way they are, Milan will make half as much money at the gate traveling to Covington, Ripley Fayette Ware or Haywood. Plus getting there will cost 5 times as much. I think they have a legitimate gripe, esp. when there are so many schools around them they won't be playing. If MIlan loses Huntingdon, Humboldt or both because of the Z-plan, it'll be a shame.

IMO Milan got the short end of the stick by the officials. I've never before seen an 'aiding the runner' call? Camden got away with two pretty obvious holding calls right in front of Milans bench. When they measured for Milan's first down when they clearly made it by over a yard, it should have raised some eyebrows. Milan had 6 penalty for 50 yards...camden 2 for 10? They were a very average team of officials at best.

Milan dropped Henry County to add Crockett County. At the time, Crockett was a much better program than Henry.
