I do not think these posters are "bashing" the coaches at Portland. They are stating facts from Aric's past. Look where he has been and how he got the Head jobs at those schools. Starts off at each stop as an assistant,gets friendly with the principal,principal replaces coach with Aric,simple.

As far as SC being the best in the County in the past, They were by record. The only county teams they did not play was Westmoreland and Gallatin those years. As for now, SC does not have a say in it until they can win some games against Gallatin, Beech, and Hendersonville. The Bison will rise to the challenge of their new district. Look at their past to substantiate it. They struggle in the first year of moving up and then they start rolling. It is a matter of time. I have always heard that SC has had 1000 students when they were 3A to everyone's 700-800 but that is not true. They have only been above 1000 for one year and that was last year which why they are playing in the new district due to re-alignment. Get your facts straight before going on gossip.

Its' funny how some wh fans are crying because they did not have all their players. It wasn't the coaches fault that the players were late for a scheduled practice. I doubt the coaches surprised them with the time for practice. It was probably scheduled. Coach Porter should be commended for his decision. I bet those individuals will not be late again if they want their playing time. It was a great atmosphere for high school football between two bitter rivals. SC dislikes WH just as much as the other way around.

I do not believe it is Portland's old coach causing turmoil. I think it is the current coach who is trying to down play his teams expectations so he "looks" good "if" he wins. Bever is above that as a person. People on here "run down" his name and they do not even know him as a person. From what I know of him, he has never posted on this site nor does he know how to join it. It is a shame that a person who dedicates his personal life to helping young men has to hear about this junk.

Hendersonville will have something to say about the Wave dominance I think.

rumor mill around white house says that the Blue Devil Basketball program was using items autographed from a D1 recruit at a rival high school to raise funds for their own? Anyone know about this or what would the consensus opinion be of this happening?

100 bodies does not equal 100 players. Sometimes it is not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog. Time will tell about this team. The last time I checked, P-Town played 4a last year. This is a better district top to bottom than they played in last year. Gallatin and Hendersonville are not push-overs. Wilson Central will have athletes P-Town has not had to face. Beech will still run the table on the mighty Panthers.

I just watch some SC games. I also try to catch other area teams. If you want to complain about coaching, go down Saundersville Road to H-Town, but you can not complain about this staff and it's decisions. How much film have you watched for this team? or How many practices have you been at??? It is easy to complain in the stands when you know nothing behind what is going on. I have friends that coach at schools and it is always funny to hear people who are not in the coaching profession tell them what to do. Maybe you should tell this site what you do for a living and the SC coaches can criticize you on your job. Or since you say the coaches blew it, maybe you can start your own coaching hiring services for high schools and see how far your expertise will take you.

The comments are coming from someone "close" to the SC program who has a hard time because he was not "elgible" to be a great player. He puts bhspg12 on his posts, but if he in fact played there it is funny how he knows so much about the bison. One question I have is, How many District and Region Titles did SC have before the current coaching staff took hold?? ZERO. Or for that matter, Sectional Appearances? ZERO. I would take their current win percentage anyday. I mean they only won 24 games this year. They also have a D-1 player who is the Greatest Athlete the school has ever had. This team by that measure is better than any before it. Book It!

I watched a lot of SC games this year and came away with the impression that the coaches got all they could out of this TEAM. They were not a one man show. They had to rely on some sophomores and a freshmen to fill some holes. They played more like a team than any other I have seen from this school. Sounds like sour grapes from a former player at SC.

He would be good for at least 15- 20 points per game. The atmosphere will not bother him, in my opinion.

It's genious's like you that have trouble with SC. If you read the post, the response was to someone saying that SC would be the stepchild of the district. People in the district think SC is an underdog, not this poster. Bring IT!

That is exactly the way the Bison like it. Beat you into submission. I do not believe SC cares if anyone in the districts respects them or not. Winning on Friday nights will be all that matters to them. Who cares about your respect.

SC has proven they can win in this district. They beat H'ville and Beech both when SC was still 3A and H'ville was 5A and Beech 4A. SC took Beech to the wire this past year and was blown out by a good Hendersonville team. They have proven their worth. Beating the other schools in this district will add to their resume. As of now, all the teams are equal. It will depend on who is most successful in the off-season. Earning respect is what SC is all about!!

It is probably a good thing that the season is not played on these web-sites. From what I hear about SC, is that they are getting three "mystery" transfers from out side the country. I hear from American Samoa. Does the name Polamalu sound familiar?? After watching the Bison from the past few years, I hope people in this new district keep disrespecting them. Life under the radar could be good for them.
