  1. message was recieved, but you have to send this same message week after week. I dont think anyone will just lay down because you beat Loudon. Then we still have that little problem with winning a playoff game. Good luck with the rest of your season.
  2. they are also gone. are you saying that they are going to make tackles? What do they have to do with Central winning this week? Watson is still better than both of those guys.
  3. The Meigs County game will not determine your season. This game will only be a personal vendetta. You will not make it past the first round of the playoffs. You should win the region, but that will be it.
  4. we will see how tough tomorrow night. I wish both teams good luck and hope nobody gets hurt. I still think Polk in a close one.
  5. I have watched the Watson kid since he was young. If he is not in the game. dont look for the other kids to make all of those tackles that you are talking about. He created a mess inside and allowed the other players to make the tackles. If he is out Central is a weaker team. Mark my words............
  6. Central is better than Loudon Final score McMinn Central 31 Loudon 10
  7. I think week 1 will be very interesting. Bledsoe is better than they were last year, plus polk is a little bit young. Polk definitely has the athletes to win, but it will be good game to get rid of the butterflies. I think Polk pulls it out in a close one.
  8. I for one have been very impressed with South Pitt. I kept up with them last year plus watched them in the championship game(where they mercy ruled their apponent in the championship game). SP is not a typical 1A team. they are big, fast and deep at several positions. I am not sure where they get all the athletes(possibly GA and Alabama) but they are tough. For them to beat Central, who has enough team speed to match up with them, plus Polk who is talented but young says a lot.
  9. Who were the nine key players? Why did they miss?
  10. Not real sure about that statement " Win or Lose we love the BIG BLUE" I think everyone loved them last year when they were very good and winning, but I did not see the support when they were 2-9. Maybe love does not mean that people actually go to the games and watch(secret love).
  11. If he is still at Central in 2010 then I will apologize. I personally dont think that will happem. Is this really mr. Jacksons first strike? I thought that this was like 3 or 4. If he could not run a football, I bet it would really be 7 or 8 wouldnt it? I dont think that most of the folks are pretending to be experts on raising kids, I think they are just defending the fact that football is a privelage that is earned and not a right. How many kids are on that team with a clean slate and great grades that wont play any? If Mr. Jackson wasnt very athletic he would not be given all of these opportunities, and you know that as well as I do. I wish the team a lot of luck,(very good team) but it wil be short lived success as long as you are willing to make considerations for certain individuals, amd not the entire team.
  12. That big line was very successful againtst Whitehouse, who I think beat them by 35
  13. unless he is switching schools I dont think 2 years is a long time. and I think a lot of teams can get over that. I am not downing the guy, I just dont think he is in it for the long haul. Commitment to a program and commitment to a record are two different things and time will tell which commitment your coach has. Good luck this year, as I know you guys will do well, there is a lot of tallent in that program and a lot of good kids.
  14. I woul like to have inherited that team! Change will come, and I would say that it will come as soon as after next season when the speedy athletic crew has disipated. Then Coach D. will look for greener pastures. I dont think he can build anything from the ground up, because he is not willing to weather the storms that come with the building. If he leaves after next year. then he will leave it better than he found it, but it will plummit for the next guy, because he is doing nothing to develop the future. Just keep playing for the here and the now, then we will look at a ten year record and see who comes out on top. Good luck and enjoy your little stay at the top. What will you guys have to talk about when your 1-9 after next year? Oh yea, you will have baseball. Wait a minute, that guy will be gone too. Wont he? (class of 2009 graduates, with no JV games played in 2007-2009). Is Loudon still looking for a Coach? Well at least there is still basketball. (pretty good program there)
  15. This team was below .500 because they were young. I could probably win with the number of athletes that are at Central right now. As long as he is willing to tolerate all the hoop la that goes with those athletes then he probably will be successful(this year). But lets see how long he last once this core group of kids is gone, then we will see what kind of coach he really is. I'm sorry I just dont agree with allowing kids that get in serious trouble over and over back on the team. It may not hurt this year( as all the athletes are there to win) but it will hurt the program in the future, How many players did you lose this year as a result of his decisions? How many will you lose next year when the odds dont look so good? I personally think that your savior coach will be gone as soon as he builds his resume, oh yea thats where Mr. Jackson comes in isnt it?
  16. Ditto, I to have also had the privelage of watching of these young men grow up and develp. I know my son came in as a freshman and was given the opportunity to get to play with these guys and they treated him as a teammate and not just an underclassman. He learned a lot from these young men and for that I am grateful. One of the main things we hope for our children is that they will be successful in life, and this is a very good group that I know will enjoy a lot of success not only in sports, but in the career of their choice. So here is my salute to Matthew Allen, Ryan Qualls, Brandon Bean, Wil Phillips, Hayden Browder and Mike Hammons. I love you guys(and if you will remember, I told you this quit often). I thank you for all your hard work and wish many happy years of success and happiness.
  17. I could box Mike tyson and Pee Wee herman, but If I lose to both of them, does that make me better than everyone else in the region? good luck with those scrimmages.
  18. I dont think anyone eat Phillips alive. Polk sort of kicked it around and there was several bloop hits. As far as Starr, not sure what Vol state saw that I didnt. I witnessed about 10 errors in 3 games, but maybe thats what they are looking for. Centrall won, so congrats to the team, but maybe these teams will meet again in the region finals and who knows what the outcome might be...........
  19. I have to agree. There are a lot of kids that go through those summer 2 a days and all the morning workouts that never see the field. If there is someone on the team that has attended all the same practices and workouts that is better then I am all for playing the best on the team, but in order to set standards and send a message to not only the present team but teams of the future kids that spend the summer in juvy should have to attend more classes not football season. I know I am going to hear negative comments about this post, but the second chance we need to give this kid, is a second chance at finishing his education.
  20. Game was at 5pm, and it was a pretty good game. Polk kicked it around a little in the first inning and gave up 2 unearned runs, but ended up winning 8-4. Both teams played very well. Boyd got somewhat of a gift with a ball that was clearly foul but called a homerun. Good luck to both teams.
  21. Im sure your right, all the teams you play will probably just step aside and lets these guys run..... NOT! I think this year will be very exciting, with a lot of youg players. Every team has an equal chance and I think you may be surprised.
  22. Most of these kids mentioned are playing 2A or 3A ball and are starting as freshman. Sure their Mom and Dad are working the concession stand. Why? because thats their job as parents of players. These kids are starting as freshman, not because of Mom and Dad, but because they chose to give up the mojority of the summer to commit themselves to playing baseball not Nintendo. It always amazes me when people come on here and complain because little Jimmy is better, because he chose to play baseball instead of Oreos and playstation. Face it you can complain all you want, but why you are complaining these teams with the freshman are still progessing. I promise all of these kids can hit fastballs, just keep throwing faster and they will keep swinging faster. Pitchers better work on the off speed stuff speed stufff if they want to get these kids out.
  23. I think they will do better than folks think in 2008. Going back to 2A will not be a cakewalk either. A lot of the teams in 2A are better than the teams in 3A.
  24. If beating Polk is all that matters to you, then you my friend should get a life.
