I don't think Wright had anything to do with Oaklands schedule, except for taking them out of Thanksgiving tournament and adding a Christmas tournament in Kentucky (should be quality opponents) due to football. If you look at Morristown East's schedule this year it is extremely difficult as compared to years past. He had a talented team coming back that needed the competition. I don't think you will find him as one to duck people. Also you have to remember that high school scheduling involves both boys and girls coaches, compromises have to be made. Just some random thoughts from an East fan that hated to see him go.

Any news on possible candidates, is their anyone with the inside track to this job. Very quiet for such a big job. Is there a time frame in mind.

Why is he interim? He has been the head man all year. Is Sinard looking to come out of retirement again?

Agreed, they definitely have talent. You don't win that many games on coaching alone. It takes a combination of both to be a really successful team.

Word is he has a 6'7 out of Texas and a point guard out of South Carolina. With the transfer from east last year, that will give them 3 out of top 5. They should be the team to beat. Question: How do the players from Greeneville feel about always losing their spots to transfers? Are they OK with it as long as the team wins? Not bashing Greeneville or Duncan, don't care about recruiting, just wondering what the feelings are in the Greeneville locker room and community.

i know this is not the subject of the thread, but is this Greeneville's last year in the conference. Are they moving down or will they choose to play up. Just wondering what the word is down there in Greeneville.

Yep that's the team. They also defeated Science Hill to win the Arby's Championship that year. Science Hill went on to win AAA State Title. Best Motion coach around, you can't guard his teams man to man, even with superior talent.

Ken Wright @ Sevier Co. is as good as anybody around. Doesn't have a lot of talent, but if you ask other coaches he is someone you don't want to play. Has a State Title in AAA from GA.

Let's remember that District 2 has won 3 of the last 4 REGION titles, so I am pretty sure that District 2 is up to speed on how to play basketball. Rutledge will be a tough out and will represent District 2 proudly. McBee is with out a doubt the best player in the tournament.

I wonder where they would play if they get the opportunity. PF played one at Morristown West and two at Sevier Co. obviously they would not go to Sevier, but I could see one of the Morristown Schools as a possibility. I think it is a shame they can't host, I think it definately cost PF one trip to state and maybe two.

They could still host a substate game. If their gym holds 1250 that is.
