  1. CCS is 7-2-1, the tie being to Boyd in 9 innings, and the losses being by one run to Central, and a loss to Brentwood. Notable win over Central on Saturday as well as Maryville Heritage(don't know how good they are really). Also beat Marion County and East Ridge.
  2. Does CCS stand a chance against Brentwood today at Central in the Lookout Classic? Any opinions would be appreciated.
  3. I doubt Pitt is better than Texas, but that's debatable, I think Kansas is more deserving than both teams, but oh well. And speaking of messed up brackets the west is stacked.
  4. You think Pitt. should have been a 1 seed? Hahahaha
  5. CCS beat Marion County 12-2 and their game against ND got rained out, they decided to cancel rather than play later since CCS wouldn't play in the Sunday games anyways and ND was out of contention I believe. CCS went 2-1 in the tournament.
  6. Well Skogen left CCS after his 8th grade year and I'd be shocked if a great family like the Skogen's gave in to some kind of recruiting deal. It's not like he left some podunk school to go to a McCallie or something. Another thing, I believe 4 of Temple's 5 starters are sons of the coaches. Along with 1 more on the bench. If there was recruiting involved they need to up the ante or something because they don't have 5 all-state players.
  7. Caleb Barnett of CCS has 4 bombs and like 2 or 3 stand-up doubles in his 5 games played.
  8. I don't think the size matchups will be huge problem, Temple did beat Ezell last year when they had Terrell. If Perry County were to hold Skogen to less than 10 then they would probably be triple-teaming him the whole game which would leave at least two of Temple's shooters open, and they usually have about 4 guys that can shoot the rock from deep, in the game at all times. I have never seen Perry County play so I can't make a prediction, but I have seen Temple play and know they are very good. They are also very beatable, just as any team is. I would think Temple would win this game, but would not be too surprised if they were beat because PC took advantage of the few weaknesses that I think I have spotted watching Temple. I won't say what they are because I would love for Temple to win it again and think they have great guys on the team and a great coach. Good luck Temple, and stay focused and hungry for 3 more. If you're focused and intense, I have no doubt that you'll win it again.
  9. That a boy AJ, good win for McCallie over a tough Soddy team. Congrats to my boy AJ for the big hit, if anyone at McCallie sees this tell AJ that Dice said congrats, and good job to the rest of the team too.
  10. It finished tied, so it was obviously close. Much props to both teams pitchers, but I think that we both made the other teams pitchers look better than they were. Both teams had more than enough opportunities to win, Dale and I both had chances to end the game, but got out with runners in scoring position in the 7th and 9th inning. I think we finished with 8 hits, and Boyd had 3, but we walked more than they did and hit one of their batters. I'm positive that these will be two totally different teams if we do get to meet again. Picasso, I have a couple of guesses, you'll have to let me know I guess, or you could email me. Dice1522@aol.com
  11. And you forgot Temple, don't let sour grapes keep you from giving props where they're due.
  12. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family over here at CCS. Seek God through this time of hardship, there's a reason for everything.
  13. I'm glad that fans are making some predictions that are actually thought through, unlike last year. I'm sure it will be a close and hard-fought game, and barring some serious upsets it hopefully is a preview of the region championship. I don't know about Boyd, but I know that we have a long way to go still. I will be sure to let you know Picasso.
  14. Today the 5th ranked Bucs go to the 8th ranked Chargers field to play in a rivalry game. Any predictions to how this game will turn out or who will win? I won't make a prediction because I am biased, but would like to hear other's takes on it.
  15. I understand that if the coach had sent in info it would have made it easier, just figured the team that finished 3rd in state last year and lost just one player would be ranked a little higher. It's better to be the underdog anyways.
  16. When it is a matter of opinion there is always doubt.
  17. I mean all these cliches and never giving up sayings are all good and well, but when it comes down to it probably no one on these boards knows the whole situation. Let me give you another dumb saying, people come from miles and miles to fill the arena, but the only one who truly knows is he who rides the bull. You all are saying that he let his teammates down, what a horrible person blah blah blah, but remember, on the last thread about this a teammate of Cruze's came on here and defended him. How do you all know that his teammates didn't agree with him and think it was a good decision? I think I also read on the other thread that 5 other people on the team had quit sometime recently. The only thing I don't like about the article is that it is so cynical towards Cruze, when the first one wasn't cynical towards Blevins. They ripped Cruze apart, but on the first one they just got a few quotes that weren't even that antagonistic. They certainly weren't a clear knock on the coaches integrity and motives. I would agree that it is poor timing to quit any sports team during the middle of a season, but since we don't know the whole situation we have no right to judge this guy. Especially when it happens all the time and nothing is said about that. When I start using perfect judgement all the time then I will start judging other people for poor judgement that they have used(if it was even poor judgement).
  18. I heard ya'll scrimmaged Baylor yesterday. Was it really as bad as I heard?
  19. That's some extra incentive for us at CCS. No respect.
  20. I don't know if that's true or not, I'm not trying to stir up trouble like you. I was just stating my opinion, and I wasn't saying anything based on mere rumor and speculation like you are.
  21. This sounds just like the situation at my school. Five players off last years team quit mostly because of differences with the coach, although there were some other issues. I have heard people talk about me and the other guys as selfish and saying it was unfair of us to quit. I wasn't playing basketball for the fans, I was doing it for me and my team. The players that still play(except for maybe 1 or 2) totally understood our complaints and told us that if we didn't feel that we should play then we shouldn't. I know a few of them wouldn't be playing if they didn't have aspirations of playing bball in college. Fortunately for me my main sport is baseball, so when I finally decided to quit(after thinking about it since my sophomore year) I didn't have to factor playing bball in college in. I know what Cruze has gone through and was feeling, and for anyone to judge him for that is out of line. That's just like some of our dumb "fans" who last year would pat me on the back and come and talk to me, but now they turn away from me and call me a bad seed. Just because I didn't play basketball, what a shame.
  22. Thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it.
  23. Wes Hodges(Georgia Tech), Matt Ray(Central Florida) and Clark Jackson(Austin Peay) are the best 3 shortstops in east Tennessee, and probably all of Tennessee.
  24. I was wondering if someone out there would be willing to put the excersises and how long to spend on them on this thread. I'm tight on money right now, but would love to try this system. Thanks for any information.
  25. Thanks, I was pretty sure, but couldn't remember exactly. I also know that Holwerda was a top 100 finalist for McDonald's his senior year(same year Harrison made the team). I just wish Harrison would've followed him to Vandy.
