Congrats to Oak Ridge on a BIG win tonight. You have come a long way since the first of the year. Just so you know the cup cake side of the state will have 6 teams guaranteed in the 8 classifications. The other two classification 4A & 5A. Greeneville and West have great shots to get there too . Which would add up to 8 teams from East Tennessee playing for a championship. WOW. I guess we know the cup cakes are NOT IN EAST TENNESSEE.

Congrats to the Smyrna Bulldogs on a big win. I hope you can keep on winning and make it to the big one. I'm wanting a Smyrna vs Maryville match-up really bad. I hope both teams can win and get to the championship game. As for the comment above . That's what I think about that. I hope you learned something from tonight Hoganknows. If you haven't let me fill you in. East Tn will have a team guaranteed in 6 of the 8 classifications. The other two look pretty good too. I would consider Greeneville the favorite for 4A and West to be the favorite in 5A. If this happens East Tennessee will have teams playing for championships in every division. I'm sure your catching my drift now.

To get respect you have to earn it.... To be considered as the best coach in the state you have to prove that as well. Whitehaven could win it all this year and if they do. You will get your respect. Until then I will pick someone else to win 6A this year. I'm just going with the odds.

I like Maryville in this one but D Young would scare me to death. He is so quick that you get that feelin he's about to break it every time. He's the type of player that can score 4 or 5 times. Having said that Maryville will get the win because he's really the only thing Bearden has for a playmaker on offense. Maryville by 3 TD'S.

Greeneville wins this one handily. The Scott County game gave me a good gauge as to how good Gibbs was. A little better than average for a 4A team. Greeneville on the other hand has a great team this year. That doesn't add up for Gibbs. Greeneville 42 Gibbs 10 Be careful what you wish for with the F5.

Red Warrior go to the strength and success rankings on coacht. Look at the top teams in 3A,4A,5A,6A and DII. Then look at the capsule for top teams. The school with the top schedules are still in the playoffs. The top ten teams with poor strength of schedules have dropped like fly's. JUST SAYIN!

Darrell Warren really took over that game along with Vee's big runs. The teams that haven't played Alcoa this year really don't understand how physical they really are. You have a big line and two big backs Tyson & Warren. Then you add Vee Hambrick. That's hard for anyone to stop. That's why I believe this game will not be as close as the last. I could be wrong of course but Alcoa really kept CAK in the first half with their mistakes. Last weeks physical game didn't help the warriors either. Alcoa 45 CAK 20

He is by far the most overlooked player on Alcoa's team. If Alcoa were a passing team then everyone in the state would know his name. 6'4 180LBS receiver with very good speed and hands. He has the most upside of any player at Alcoa this year. I believe this is saying a lot because I like Daryl Warrens potential on the next level.

Whatever Red Warrior keep on doing what your doing. That's really working for you guys. AS A PLAYER I CAN TELL YOU PLAYING BETTER COMPETITION EVERY YEAR MAKES YOU BETTER. Hey if your stuck in your ways that's fine. Your going to keep on getting the same old results. So keep on doing what Henry County is doing and the results will probably be the same. That's been several years ago...

Personally I believe Alcoa plays better than it did last game. Alcoa didn't play well in that first game. Give CAK credit for causing some of that but there were some mental era's on the Tornadoes last game against them. It will be interesting to see how the Tornadoes defend Epperly this time around. How will CAK try to stop the run? Another chess match in the making.

WHY! You guys are discounting the fact Maryville played for it all last year and their better this year. Of course they haven't got there yet but I would have to consider them the favorites. I even like their draw a little better ( playoff bracket ). Neither one of these two teams were even in the championship game last year. So it would only be reasonable that the team that played for it all last year be the favorites. That's my opinion of course.

I'll take 6 teams to your two. One of those teams is from your own district and the other is Maryville. That's not even counting the Whitehaven or Germantown team you guys would have to play. This will no doubt be a great game and the team that wins it probably has a good shot to play for it all. However as far as odds goes and Vegas. You would be the underdog no doubt. Maybe you can meet me in Cookeville....

Boy you really told me. Well if their not chokers then their overrated every year. HC has had several teams the last 20 years that have been ranked in the top 10. They have even had teams that were ranked #1 just like DB. Also I think there is some valid points on making a better schedule. If some of you believe playing a tough schedule doesn't help you later on. Then you have never played ANY SPORTS. Playing better competition help your team and helps you to identify what you have to work on to get better.

I wouldn't bet on it. Matter of fact I would bet against it.

This was a close game until about 3 minutes in the 2 quarter. Loudon threw their best shot and that was expected. Their a good football team. This region is very good for 2A. Good season Loudon and no shame in the way you played tonight. Props out to Darrell Warren he played tough tonight.

The score of this game is a real shocker but when your starting quarterback gets hurt that changes the game. Lets hope he's ok.

Well I know exactly who you are. USAFMOUNTAINEER isn't it! That's your screen name on the Rivals site. Still wanting Alcoa to play OOS schools. Since you troll these boards you should know why we don't. Its been stated on here many, many, many times. Instead you choose to attack Rankin like the other DII posters. We tried to put Ensworth on the schedule and they declined . Also the MCCALLIE teams that Alcoa played were probably their best ever. One lost in the semi-finals and the other lost in the DII championship game by 3. Just to remind you we won both of those games. The only lose coming to BA in 1988 and the next year we beat BA in the championship game. So actually we did play BA. You should know that the BA team in 1988 was one of the states best teams ever in my opinion. That team had about 9 or 10 DI players on it. Please know your history if your going to post. I do want to ask you a few question. How many times have you seen Alcoa play in person. How many out of zone players does Alcoa start this year. Since that is an issue for you. Also do you take showers because I can smell you from here.

BC I'll have to disagree with you on that one. The screen play before the half that went for 46 yard for a touchdown was the difference in that game. I believe they scored with like 3 second left on the clock.
