Can siegel beat anyone by 5 TD's? With 7 turnovers against Smyrna last week I don't think its possible. But I will pick the Stars in this one 17-3, it is homecoming you know. The siegel D will miss the Anderson kid in big way this week.

Has anyone heard if the tailback for Ensworth is playing this week? Heard he was injured in last weeks game, but didn't know how bad. I hope the kid gets to play heard he is the real deal, would like to see if Meadows and Garner can run him down. the announcer at smyrna uses two spotters and any other warm body in the pressbox to make sure they get all the info they can to the fans. It is about the players, the moms and dads who deserve the recognition of alot of hard work by hearing their childs name when they make a tackle or any play. I heard that RHS had a different announcer a few weeks ago that did a GREAT job, maybe they'll see the light and let the other guy go.

2P did i read that earlier post from mykidsdad correctly when he said that he and the coach returned from a recruiting visit at a youth rec league. I know that coach shad used to make a lot of visits to the Bulldog TYFA program, but that was because of his ties to coach donnie carter. So that COULD lead me to believe that the boosters at BHS are using the "Open Zone" thing as a recruiting tool. They better watch out if that de'vinner guy finds out they have a recruiting program he might apply for a job. I am sure that mykidsdad meant to say that he and the coach went to watch some kids practice on a nearby field. Because we all know that recruiting is not allowed by the tssaa. and maybe you guys could bring back that great classic "Disco Inferno" as your theme song too. LETS GO DAWGS

I agree with you milo and 86 peaking from here on out is the way to go. The 06 and 07 Championship teams finished strong and ran thru the playoffs. But i don't know if this is the year for this team to make that run. milo i agree that there is A LOT OF TALENT on this team but they have got to put the whole package together in the next few games to make that run. And we all know that the offense is still subject to tank another one at any given time. mrdonkey ALL GAMES MATTER THIS SEASON due to the new playoff system we are now under, the whole thing is very confusing. When it was initially announced it was said that teams with a 6 team district would get 3 spots in the playoffs, but your overall record could dictate that the district only gets 2 or as many as 4 teams. go check the instructional video at www.tssaa.org

Looks like it will be a soggy track for this big matchup; any updates on # 31 or any of the injured players. will any of them play this week?

OP, I think the reason this person is on the RHS/ OHS thread is because there is nothing going on with the BHS/ LHS thread. One thing that I have learned over the years being a Bulldog fan is you have to earn respect thru your teams actions on the field. It took Riverdale coming to play at SHS before WGNS ever covered a smyrna game and I can't tell you how many times Josh Ezell with the DNJ told me they don't sell enough papers in the north part of the county to cover LHS ans SHS. Granted BHS has some good athletes and a new coach (and the seniors that coach wells was waiting on to turn the corner with). But until you play somebody (and yes you did beat my Bulldogs) you can't expect everyone in the county to flock to BHS just because the Blaze fans type WE ARE THE BLAZE at the end of their postings. Tell you what beat everybody in the district BHS and then you'll command respect or what ever it is your looking for out of this. Good luck to OHS and RHS on friday night hope you have a sell out crowd and sell lots of those hot dogs you all keep talking about. I was more impressed with the chicken sandwich at Brentwood to be honest. 2P I am starting to ramble just like you.

Good to hear the investigation is over and all were cleared. Does anyone know where this guy came from? Seems like he just showed up in the boro with his "foundation" and started getting all this dnj coverage. I think he went to the dnj with the allegations first and the tssaa had to follow-up on it just because of the press. Once again the Daily NewsLess Journal starts something before it has all the facts. Hope the Warriors win on Friday so they can get some press coverage thats positive.

I agree with Bulldog86 the Bulldogs are not out of the running yet. The offense is showing promise and I have stated before the SHS defense is holding this thing together til the offense catches up. Coach Matt will continue to have the team prepared and its up to the boys in Purple and Gold to play the games. Several writers and radio guys have stated that the team that loses this game will most likely be out of the race. And there is an outside chance our district could get 4 teams into the playoffs.

2P you got a little long with that post, I thought you were going to turn that thing into a short story. I will agree that Oakland's D is one of the better ones around, but SHS and BHS are both pretty dang good. I think this one will be a surprise to O Zoners. Closer one than you think. LETS GO DAWGS

I doubt that a win over Siegel will mean so much to our fans that they will tear down the goal post. I am really not sure why some folks on here posting can't seem to let this thing rest. Obviously there was no clear cut proof of who it was or someone would have already been arrested for the crime. Every time in the past when something was done like this, the parties involved were either arrested or punished in some way. Lets just keep the thread going about the game this Friday. I expect there will be a good crowd and I believe the Bulldogs pull out a win 24-14. LET'S GO DAWGS

Yes its the same offense that Blackman failed with over the last few years. The O line is a little young as far as playing time goes, but when everyone in the stadium knows the play before its called its not very hard to stop. BHS had a GOOD defense on Friday night, but our OC didn't make it much of a challenge for them. There seems to be NO ADJUSTMENTS made during the game. I hope the Defense can stay strong til the offense catches up or we may be in for a LONG season.

Can the Tribe really call off the 2's, 3's and 4's on their sideline and tell them not to try to score when they finally get their chance to shine. RHS wins big next week and with a new PA announcer rallying "YOUR RIVERDALE WARRIORS"

I heard a rumor last night that RHS is getting a NEW PA announcer next week. I think its just temporary but it could be a welcome relief for the visiting fans. Congratulations to RHS on the win.

Great atmosphere for a Friday night game. I think that BHS has a good shot at the 2 spot in the playoffs behind OHS. That game will be the next big defensive battle for the district. congratulations to coach shad and BHS. And another GREAT job by the Bulldog defense, the three headed monster didn't look as big and bad as the DNJ made them out to be. The difference in the teams was a balanced Offense from BHS. mixed up the run and pass well. 45 is a beast for the Bulldog D and 31 was impressive as usual. I hope the Bulldog D can hold on long enough for the offensive coaches to work out the issues that the O seems to be having if not Bulldog fans could be in for a long, long season. Will someone at least say who is going to win the dang football game? If the SHS O can produce we will have ourselves a barn burner. I think this will be a close one and i'm a Bulldog so I pick is SHS by 7.

I like siegel in this one. Just to go against 2P and LOD. I think it will be very close. Maybe a 2 point conversion is the difference.

I think this will be a good game for both teams. But being a Bulldog I will have to give SHS the edge in this one. Bulldogs by 10!!

Stork Really sorry to hear your leaving SHS. What will the Freshman do for an announcer this year? Can't believe you would leave the Purple and Gold for BHS. Whatever happened to loyalty? Will you be doing PA over there as well as video? Just turn in all of your Bulldog stuff, no need to keep it since your getting new stuff over there. Hope you look good in burnt orange.
