  1. This game could be trickyfor a young team still finding their identity....Go Raiders !
  2. Soddys probably on the same level as Cookeville maybe better....Score was 1-0 with the starters in...we blew a chance to score from the 1 yard line. Soddys next two scores came against 2nd stringers on passes. Coffee County has a Scrappy bunch this year, not big , not fast, but they are well Coached and give 100% on every play. Soddy has two good QB's and a couple of recievers with good hands and speed. if our young QB will slow down and set his feet, he'll become an effective passer. The only lack of efffort I saw was maybe the o-line doesn't fire off the ball like they should on every play. Defense looks pretty darn good.
  3. Moore County is a pretty good looking football team....good size....some speed, should give some people fits at their level. CC defense looked fair...offense still has some work...QB needs to work on footwork, think he'll find it'll help his accuracy. Grundy County has good size, but not too much in the skill positions. We were ready to go, and I've always bragged about the hospitality of the people on the mountain.
  4. Good one JaCo....I'm not sure when it is either. Was gonna enter my prize BULL.
  5. Sic 'Em 2p...have no idea what this thread is all about and don't reallly care, but I agree with you. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> lol Haven't talked in a while and just thought I'd jump in and say Hello. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. The extender is the prob. ISO above 1600 will not work. 1200 if the lighting is pretty good. The lower you can get it the better results you'll have. I usually snap a few pictures and preview them under the conditions, till I get the settings right for that particular venue.
  7. I've had good luck picking up cameras and lens on Ebay and Pawn shops. My son got a really good lens that was with a film camera in apawn shop. Of course we didn't want the film camera, even though it was a very good Canon. Bought a 10d, one owner like new on Ebay for $200...you're looking for f1.8 lens, to be able to take pictures at night, on poorly lighted Football Fields. Megapixels above 4 or 5 aren't that important unless you plan on making giant posters or something. it's out there you just have to look and not get in a hurry. 50mm f1.8 is good for basketball and volleyball . 80mm and up for football. The last poster is right about the lens being most important, but some of the older Canon's are too slow. FPS is important, and also the speed of the zoom can cause you to miss good pictures. Yard sales can even be a good source, but not as often. I've found that most Pawn shops don't know that much about cameras, and don't always know what they're really worth. Of course new is better, but if you're poor like me you've got to be creative.
  8. I can give you a LONG list of good coaches we've run off at Coffee County...who's next .....stay tuned. If you don't play the right kids or cut the wrong kid...they start calling for you're head. Been watching it happen for 40yrs now. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  9. Just stating the "facts." Look at the record and who they beat. Lost to a very good Siegal team and should have won. Seniors aren't everything....lost some good ones, but lots of great young players are chomping at the bit to take their place. Don't have to sell anything...those who know, know the truth. With level of talent in Tennesee softball, you have to have a lot of Luck to win state....against a lot of teams at a high level. In the long run, it doesn't matter what you or I think, the games are played on the field. We'll see who KNOWS at the end of next year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  10. Coffee County has one of the best Coach's in the state, and they won't be down next year, only as good or better. Freshman class was loaded this year, and with Casey and Cheyenne coming back...look out! This program re-loads every year, and hasn't had a down year in recent memory. Maybe we'll get some respect in the Chattanooga area. Only one player from 8-AAA was chosen for the All Midstate Tennessean Team. None from CC. Maybe we are in East TN.
  11. That's my thinking...a big HS Stadium would give it a packed play-off atmosphere. As small as Tech's Stadium is , it's still too big. Expand the visitors bleachers at Riverdale or one of the Murfreesboro Schools. The West Tennessee teams are gonna pitch a biatch. Cookeville is no where near the center of the state. It had to be about the money.
  12. OK, I give... Coffee County Doesn't belong on the same field as Cookeville, and all those games were blow-outs, so maybe we won't even show up this year.
  13. There ain't no bulletin Board material on Coacht. I was referring to the size of the school, when I said Cumberland County is in too high of a classification.
  14. OOOOOOh! I'm sorry I didn't know you were special. Over-all record is 7-6 Cookeville. Joslin is a good Coach, he's also got one of the biggest schools in the state to pull from.
  15. LOD, Warren County should be better this year. Cumberland County is playing over their head. They should be 3A or 4A. I hate the new alignment, but don't underestimate Coffee County. We beat Cookeville about as often as they beat us. I think they're one game up on the series after last year.
  16. I know their record against Coffee County, apparently you don't. Cookeville and Jerry Joslin always know they have their hands full with CC. Warren County will suprise some people this year. Is there anyone who is actually from Cookeville who wants to comment on this thread?
  17. Like I said...Let's play the games...We'll see at the end of the season who's the weakest.
  18. Cookeville has never " Dominated" anything....Why do you think they will now? Don't get me wrong, I like Cookeville, but I don't understand why all of a sudden they're going to dominate the District. They've always been competitive with Coffee County, and Warren County is much improved. Cumberland County should be 3A or 4A, and Sparta has been down, but always gets up for Cookeville. They MAY be the best team in the District this year, but I think we need to play the games first, before we give them the Crown.
  19. Never mind, I re-read the post and now understand. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  20. Scores! anyone know any scores? CC vs LC?
  21. Luckys' entertaining... you're funny /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Just kidding, or am I, but seriously the broadcast are better this year! Goooo Rrrrraiders! 3-0 CC first inning....6-0 CC. sorry Coacht
  22. MCHSFAN
