  1. I appreciate your opinion, but I would like someone to please elaborate on the pros and the cons of Coach Shrenk. I have no dog in this hunt, but from across the county line, I would be interested to hear what he has done well for NW and done poorly, because I don't see our program too far off the spectrum from NW (poor administration, lack of wins). Please, no biased opionions on Coach Shrenk, I just want to hear football stuff.
  2. How is Upperman not in the top 10??? I saw them play this summer, then also heard they beat Livingston pretty handily, who is 6th. Not sure of their record, but I do believe they deserve the recognition.
  3. 7AA 1. Livingston (loaded) 2. Upperman (ability to score) 3. Macon (good size) 4. Cannon (young coach, young talent) 5. Dekalb (Coach M does a good job) 5. York (could surprise) 6. Smith (new coach) 8AA 1. White House 2. Station Camp 3. Goodpasture 4. DCA 5. Portland 6. Greenbrier Saw alot of these teams play while officiating over the summer, but not all, so that's my guess-What do you think?
  4. Yeah dumb question, but what CCHS are you referring to?
  5. Any thoughts on the District as a whole, we all know that Livingston is stacked! Our guys played them in camp this summer w/out Dunn and they still were very tough. Again, some thoughts on the District, by the way this district took away a good assistant we had, so I hope he does well.
  6. Your right, I do agree. Go Pioneers
  7. So I guess it is OK ro teh MS Athletic Director to tell the MS baseball players they cannot play AAU?
  8. Wingman? Waiting on you? Still "just curious".
  9. I'll take a run at this, here it goes: Oakland-Franklin Co.-Oakland by 4--Absolute toss up, Stovall tough inside Blackman-Shelbyville-Inselltown by 9--Close early, Twilley and Andrews take over Lawrence Co-siegel-siegel by 21--Lawrence Co cannot match-up inside or out w/ athleticism Tullahoma-White Co.-White Co. by 17--Could be more since White at home cuz they'll lite it up
  10. What's the deal with the forfeit? Why?
  11. Just curious, why are you so persistent that their coach is gone? Outsider looking in, just see a pattern here considering the football board also. Do you have proof? Reading the ripping the guy/girl took for posting on the "Coaching changing" thread about spreading rumors, I wonder how your so sure. It's in our region, just wondering?
  12. And I fully respect that. Thank you.
  13. Hargis-your lucky I'm not Bill O'Reilly because if I was I would say this is a "NO SPIN ZONE". You started this with all of your opinions about Coach Bush's decisions. Now don't "spin" and say "the way this is being handled will take siegel out of contention". You were the initial handler. I always respected you on here for simply giving a synopsis of the games, and praising the kids. (Regardless of how lengthy and painful "this poster" sometimes thinks they are). Hey, you deserve your opinion, but don't get your feelings hurt when you get called out. You have no business second guessing Coach Bush! Do you seriously believe he would all the sudden up and "start coaching for next year"? That comment was ridiculous, and you are smart enough to know it. So stop "Spinning", own up to it, and let yourself be proud that you voiced an opinion, although I don't agree with it. But, thats OK, ain't that right "14"? Cause, we've disagreed alot, but all is good, we both have strong opinions and I respect that!
  14. Yes they are struggling, IMO they left about 5 district wins and 3 more vs Dekalb and Coffee. But the kids play hard nite after nite, and are always young men in the community. Back to bball, again effort is there and so was improvement throughout the year. I think we have intelligent kids, but we lack a bball IQ in close game situations, that these kids are normally not ajusted to facing when Irving Coll plays Centertown. 14 Pioneers stated earlier, which is the obvious, how we have been unable to match-up with the teams from the BORO. We all have to agree with that. Now, we still can compete in the district, maybe not dominate, but compete. I believe although with a poor record we did compete for the most part. Riverdale and siegel gave us fits, but that was because we cannot match up with their athleticism and speed on the floor. Burks, Keil, Mitchell, Turnham, King, Harris, and Bray are in no way handicapped with the poor k-8 basketball structure we have here. That is where Coach Smith is trying to make changes in elementary and Jaycees ball. i will also give Smith a little patience because of the situation he came into (we all know what happened there) but we all need to remember the kids in the program had to deal with all of that too. I'm not saying the Smith's are Kevin Stallings and Bruce Pearl, but I am saying that the program needs some stability, a better effort in elementary school/jaycee development, AAU, and administration. The Smith's (unlike on the girl's end) are working hard on all but the administration part, which we all know is a different story all together.
  15. Agian, I'll say that changes are definitely needed on the girls end. But, I'm nowhere near believing the boys coaching staff needs to be new. I will agree with 14 and say thanks to everyone's opinions this year.
  16. Can someone tell me what the pink pig meant? Also, can you ellaborate on what happened w/ York and Upperman? Was that this year?
  17. Thanks 14 and same to you as well. I agree with Hoop on the topic of All-District, we should have gotten one. It's not the girl's fault, they were not coached up.
  18. Can someone tell me what time the Warren-White game starts tonite? Is it 7?
  19. Ok here it is- White County, I'm losing respect for you by the minute. You are acting like a bunch of kids. I'll take your word for it, officiating was bad. I gotcha, but you let someone put up 42 on you, give me a break!!!!!!!!! How valid can your arguement be after a 20 pt loss and a 42-spot???? I will also say that for those of you who were not at Warren/Oakland tonite, you would have seen an excellent effort on behalf of the Pioneers, and I am very proud of the young men and the staff. We should have been more solid down the stretch, but I will definitely take the effort!
  20. Thanks. I'll be listening in Dibrellvegas tonite so go Pioneers!
  21. The Smith's and the other guy definitely give the "effort". Don't make the mistake of lumping the boy's coaching staff in with the girl's (if that is what your doing). I know from the players perspective, that the staff has worked them harder and longer than in the last couple of years. By the way who is the other guy?
