regardless of who Maryville, Farragut have coming back...Bearden will be in the thick of it. They are loaded! They have several guys coming back who are big time Devrin Young of course (all region) Stephon Stevens (all Region) Dillon Wilker (All region) they have a very good nucleus of young players being added to an already young team.....I would put Bearden as the darkhorse to win the District. Catholic will be good too. I think the district will have to use a tie breaker to decide the winner....the teams to beat are Maryville, Catholic, Farragut and Bearden.........I could see some sort of scenario where a district champ could have two losses...

I agree it may be questionable to play these kids.....when I heard about all the names involved I was stunned! Major players for AE......the names mentioned on the news were only the adults (18 over on the team)...some of the other names I just couldnt believe those kids would be involved........losing those kids would be a major blow...but what is right.....a football game...or a life lesson..these kids need to be taught a life lesson..and I agree...that they shouldnt play...they put themselves before the team......crazy to be involved in a theft ring...throwing away their futures....

I dont claim to know everything........but maybe you do.........doesnt seem like it though....besides my point wasnt to engage you into a ###### match.....my point was to comment about the game...and some keys to victory IMO..Dorian needs to touch the ball more IMO for Catholic to win...and I stated why....we dont need to air dirty laundry here............

So because he tried to transfer...and you wanted him back telling him he would get 25 touches per game...that is a reason to hold a grudge against a kid... Maybe Coach P....should have investigated the situation as to why he was going to transfer in the 1st place....it had nothing to do with Catholic and everything to do with his living situation... that isnt a reason to hold a grudge against a kid...kids make mistakes.....he's learned from it I'm sure......but to not give the kid the ball if that is the case because he wanted to transfer is absurd...IMO..coaches are suppose to be adults and above that...

your real problem is more of a perception than reality...I'm not angry at all.....and your point makes no sense...they are "saving him"...saving him for what?....its either win or go home.....so I have to play for Coach P to have an opinion about the coaching philosophy...yeah that makes sense too... I didnt talk bad about Coach P at all...I said it was odd that Cozart isnt getting more touches...now if you want to make up stuff to fit your argument....then there is nothing I can do about that...but to say I'm an angry dad..when you really dont know me or who I am..is somewhat reckless....you can say whatever you want about his rules when you played or whatever.....bottomline is I've been told by CURRENT players that Coach P told them that if you dont practice you dont play...and you dont want me to tell you what AE thinks about Coach P...I know the AE folks very well...and since you brought it up....the A-E people that I talk to wonder the same thing.........Cozart has been under utilized at Catholic...and if you can't see that..regardless if you played for Catholic or not then that is your view of the situation...of course know that people are going to have different views......its so much of a problem for Cozart that his dad met with your principal yesterday about the situation.....its a problem and many other people view it as such other than me....so get off your high horse because you played for him.....in the grand scheme of things your playing situation and Cozart's could be very different....

Howanitz had more carries than Dorian. I dont think Dorian touched the ball until the 2nd half. Howanitz was hurt...and wasnt expected to play last week...he told Coach P on Friday he was ready to play..and he started..but I thought Coach P had a rule that said if you dont practice you dont play...anyway seems odd...Howanitz is a player no doubt...its just amazing that Dorian isnt getting touches....

what I don't understand about Knoxville Catholic is the coaching philosophy. You have a guy like Dorian Cozart who has been in your program 3 years...and is averaging 8 yards a carry but he doesnt even get the ball more than 10 times a game. that makes no sense. They have played some very close games recently yet you don't even use your best offensive weapon. He ran wild on AE last year. Dorian is a kid that - was one of the MVP's of the NUC last year -was one of the MVP's at the Okie State camp - Recognized as one of the top players in nation (invited to US Army AA Combine in San Antonio) - Is getting interest from LSU, Alabama, Virgina, Clemson, Louisville, Tennessee, Oregon among others Yet he has only touched the ball 80 times for over 600 yards. That makes no sense. Now I know he was hurt early in the season, but he has fully recovered and only touched the ball 7 times last week. And the Irish wonder why recent games have been close. I like the Howanitz kid alot and he is a really good football player, but he hasnt been in your program longer than Dorian, nor is he the player Dorian is......if Catholic doesnt feature Cozart in this game IMO they will lose a close one. Dorian should carry the ball at least 20 times a game in that offense..I don't understand the problem there......

those would be the top 3 IMO along with Division II AA.....

I dont think it will be a problem...they have talent coming back Dorian Cozart and Zac Tait are US Army All American Combine invitees...among other guys.....IF Maryville goes into next season with the streak....I can't see it lasting in this district....Bearden is very young and very good ...I look for them to challenge next year for tops in district...Farragut is also loaded next year...browning...Purty...Hudson...Van Dyne...WB also has some good young players..namely the QB Owens...

he has verbal offers from Boston College , Texas A &M, Colorado, among others... but he isnt being recruited as a QB he is being recruited as a WR...

the most telling thing to me is Bearden faced 7 teams that made the playoffs in the regular season, a very difficult schedule and still played well...

over 1200 yards rushing 15tds over 1,800 all purpose yards 18 tds 20 tackles 3FF...2 Fumble recoveries 3 INT's... one of the top 2-3 soph's IMO in state...surely in top 5... maybe the best player in Knoxville as a soph.....

tough 1st round game for the Maryville.....they win but it will be close IMO....

Clinton is an interesting team...they can play with anybody, but they can lose to anybody...they had Powell beat last night...and it seems their coach got conservative....Rhea Co. has a very good team.....I think they will be too much for the Dragons..
