  1. Yea, you are right! I think my IQ dropped 30 points just by responding to him. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  2. Wow, I overlooked this post. You are ignorant to what happened in that game. Just like someone else replied to you about it, GP continued to throw interceptions and fumble the ball in the second half against every 9th grader we had. I always like it when people write about stuff they didn't even see. I spoke to GP coaches after the game and the only people they blamed were themselves. The TSSAA and the GP coaches deserve all of the blame for that fiasco. Also, the mercy rule that the TSSAA uses now was already set to be implemented before the Alcoa / GP game. However, don't let facts get in your way......you never have before.
  3. James Rainer, former Alcoa player?
  4. Yep, got family in both places.
  5. YOu are correct, Alcoa would hammer KC. Catholic barely got by White House in a game played at KC. We travel to White House and drill them in a pouring rain storm. It could have been even worse if not for our players slipping every time they were making a cut back. We have also asked them and every other team in East TN to play us and none will....including Kingsport DB, Oak Ridge, Farragut, Bearden.............ALL of them!
  6. You send him to Alcoa or Maryville, where he or she can get a great education and win championships. Right now that is sad, but true. I am all for keeping the county kids at WB and Heritage, but it is what it is. PS The phone will not ring. You make that decision.
  7. Bulldawg Girl3, you are exactly right. Success causes more success. Maryville and Alcoa have it and kids who live in Blount Co. want some of it too. That is directly tied to why the two large 5A (6A next year) schools in Blount Co. are usually pretty terrible. Their better athletes transfer to Maryville and Alcoa every year for that chance.
  8. Crenshaw isn't going anywhere although they (Fulton) want him to. Koko will hopefully stay, but that is up in the air somewhat. I hope he stays because even though he is a great athlete he is an even better kid.
  9. Govman, any chance you can convince the AD, principal, school board members, coaches or whomever is afraid to schedule Alcoa to reconsider? It is a shame that one of the biggest schools in TN won't man up and play a little bitty school like Alcoa. 3A
  10. Congratulations to both teams. Great run Maryville! I am guessing that record will never be broken. Also guessing that Alcoa's record won't be broken either............except next year, and the year after that and the year after that...............................by ALCOA!!!!
  11. Congrats KC!! I was pulling for you, and I hope you all enjoy this one. I am afraid this may be the one and only with your move to 6A. Not trying to talk smack (my older sister is a KC grad) but I don't see you getting another one.
  12. Here is the scary part for the rest of AA or AAA (wherever we will be), ALcoa is LOADED all the way down to the current 8th grade class that went undefeated this year. I can see at least 4 more in a row. SORRY Middle and West TN.........you still have excellent basketball and baseball to look forward to, but football is ours!!!
  13. CAK has a fine program, but ALCOA has way too much talent all over the field. Alcoa: 41 CAK: 13
  14. The difference this year is that Alcoa finally has some depth. You have to remember that an average graduating class at Alcoa only has approx. 85-90 kids...total! Maryville has 400+ in each class. That makes for a big difference in available athletes. The typical Alcoa player lines it up on both sides of the ball and that takes a toll. This, however, is THE YEAR! Alcoa 31 Maryville 30.
  15. Three hours before kick-off, which is when the gates open!
