I don't know if it will be a double digit game or not, but I think the team that controls the turn-overs will win. Pigeon Forge is young but very talented. If they run the floor and keep a fast pace game without turn-overs they might pull it off. Again I haven't seen Rutledge this year so I could be wrong.

I'm not sure of the name, but #00 for Bradley Central is definitely at the top of the list. I would add Brianna Garrison from Pigeon Forge to that list. She may not be a top scorer every night but she is tough on defense. You can ask a lot of the girls on this list if they like being guarded by her. She makes it difficult to be the top scorer when she is guarding you.

I have seen it done before. The player was in a traffic accident and when they got there she was able to play. Maybe wrong but it happened.

A player can be on the books but not be there and enter a game when she arrives as long as she is on the team roster.

But what if you have a player late to a game for some weird reason and this player is the leader of the team and a top scorer and you start the 2nd half with her but got behind the first half by 30 or 50. You are limiting this teams ability to have enough time to have a full run at winning. I'm not saying that would happen but you are setting limits. However I think the shot clock will help eliminate some of the problems and most players play AAU and they are use to it anyway.

Powell's coach was not there this weekend (I heard) due his wife being very sick.

We can't take anyone lighty this season. We have to show up and play ever game on both ends or we will be going home with a big Loss.

This thread started out asking everyone how east will do! I think Coach17 is giving an honest review of how things look now. If anything he is a fair judge of talent and I don't think he is knocking your team, just being honest with the result your team is having.

Believe me Pigeon Forge is not overlooking Chuckey Doak, they handed them an awful spanking last year at home and a hard fought game there. All the teams in the district will be playing strong this year.

You also have to consider rivals! This changes everything when it comes to the game. The team that is giving it to you may be just returning the favor for a game a few years back when your kid was in middle school

Don't forget it's a team game and every all-star needs the team. Sometimes we forget that. I think being a smart player is forgotten when players try to be the stand out. Example: Heritage was holding the ball for the last shot before halftime in the Pigeon Forge game. Heritage called the play to spread the floor and let Cait take the guard on and make a shot and draw a foul, which if anyone knows Heritage they do this all the time. Pigeon Forge has a great Defensive guard #22 and played her well and with the help of other players moving in to help out on the play they left 2 of Heritage's players wide open with an easy shot. Instead of kicking it out she tried one of her acrobatic moves and missed the shot leaving Pigeon Forge the ball to advance down court for a last second shot. If the player is great then why not go for the smart pass as the defense triples on you leaving your team mates open. I personally think Cait is awesome, but if your looking at the big picture that kind of playing is not smart. Whether your ahead by 100 or behind by 100.

Did he have the starters in or was this 2nd & 3rd string? If you are playing your bench for experience then I say let them work on their fundamentals and get better, but the one thing I also believe is good sportsmanship and respect as well. That’s when you pull back and work on defense starting at the half court.

I agree the East is making some noise, but until we reach the boro that’s all is "just noise". Coach 17 your team is looking good I saw you at Heritage last Sat. if you would had your big post it would have made a big difference for you. Pigeon Forge scrimmaged Jefferson County last night. They look a lot better than last Saturday. I think they won by about 15. Our guards were shooting well we had about 8 or 9 3's. Post did a good job with Huff. Your right KevB if they keep their heads in it and want it bad enough it's possible

Just a question and I'm not being mean, but why does this Davis girl move schools so much? Does her parent's work require it? I know that this is her 3rd High School in 3 years. It would seem that this would be hard to do, but she is a good player and any coach would love to have her on their bench. Anyway good luck to all the teams.

Congrats to Pigeon Forge Tigers tonight on a good win over South Greene. The game went into over time and the Tigers pulled out a good victory. South Greene didn't get the last call at the buzzer tonight like they did in the Union game. It was still a great game; the Tigers got sloppy in the second half and let South Greene come back from a sizable lead. The officials were bad on both ends missed calls on Pigeon Forge and South Greene. Pigeon Forge finally got to go to the free throw line with about 2 minutes left in overtime. Good Luck against Sullivan Central Thursday.

I hope the Tigers win! Go Lady Tigers! There is one think for sure the winner's colors will be orange & black....lol Good luck to all teams. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Elizabethton fans and family of the friend and family member that was lost.

Pigeon Forge hosts sub-state and wins Seymour hosts sub-state and wins. Sevier County hosts sub-state and wins. All 3 Sevier County teams go to the buro. Well it's time to wake up and stop dreaming now....lol
