I believe Maryville would beat Hillsboro 7 times out of 10. Without those 4 or 5 turnovers the game would've been different. Also Maryville would beat Henry County, badly. They are great against the run and thats all HC had. If HC beat Hillsboro, the streak would still be active not a doubt in my mind.
I went to both the Oak Ridge and Farragut scrimmages and would have to say the energy was alot higher in this farragut scrimmage for the rebels, The Red Rebels Started weak but had a great energy boost with A sack by D end Justin Smith. Followed by a Shuler TD. The next series had another great stop defensively With great play by the line and linebackers. However worried with starting DT Dane McCoy who fell to some leg injury however Big number 69 For maryville steped in and did well against 3 star D1 prospect for farragut. I believe Maryville should have another good year but they need to keep the emotional Rallys going.
maryville will win and win BIG. halls wont know where the endzone is after being hit by this years maryville D. with all those returning linebackers and safties, and of corse my boi j. smith on the line. and the d tackle spots did lose two starters but this year Brad Heath (6', 220) and Tucker Munns (6'6", 275) they should fill those spots well. as well as junior d tack Dane McCoy (6'2", 255). if you think it will be close your mistaken.
lail, garner, (wb) smith, jordan, shuler, (mhs) robinson, thompson, (ahs) and i dont even know any heritage players who else is gonna have a good year?
