  1. 1. His stats prove he is a nominee...no one said he is the winner yet but with his numbers, he deserves to be nominated. 2. Put him on a team like SP and he will dominate even more (not saying he is better). SP has great players at every position, especially O line, to provide blocking. Grace hasn't been known to have the biggest and baddest of lines. And BTW, looking back at the Boyd game, his stats weren't too bad against Boyd, but like y'all, Boyd has great players at all positions and did a great job defending us.
  2. Correct, she kicked two extra points in the second half.
  3. 45-14 I've heard there is a plan to have a press box, but that costs $$$$ and so until they get that $$$$ to build it, the lift is all you gonna get. Sorry. Hope the guy that was hurt and had his arm wrapped is ok.
  4. He wasn't sacked a lot, but sure was running around trying to keep from getting killed. And if you compare the size of Boyd, you can see why they dominated the front. You can see it from the stands that they were HUGE. And Grace has yet to play a game with their full starting front. I think they finally will this week.
  5. Coming Soddy Daisy Route: Take 27 to the 153 through Hixon Take 153 to 75 North towards Knoxville Get off at the Shallowford exit and turn Right Grace is a mile or so up the road on the corner of Shallowford and Jenkins on the left side of the road. Once you pass the stop light by the YMCA on your right, Grace is at the very next stop light.
  6. Last year came down to the last play...and Grace controlled most of the game except for the scoreboard and Bledsoe came away with a hard earned win. Now they are at Grace, Grace has more skill and it sounds like Bledsoe is not quite as good this year. Hopefully they come out playing the way they are capable of. If so, Grace should have this one.
  7. Knight21...my apologies. That was not meant to be a post to bash your grammer. It was just funny as I was reading it I know I had to stop and catch my breath. I don't bash people for grammer, I just was picturing you spilling everything at once and you just couldn't stop. I apologize if it came off I was bashing you. About the subject... Yes, maybe it was running up the score, I don't know cuz I wasn't there and I don't live around there. I do feel this subject has carried on too far and people should be focusing on the games coming up instead of bashing coaches and schools. I understand people have their opinions of Grace, but some people go way to far and actually make a fool of themselves...at least that is how I feel about when I read some of these posts.
  8. I'd like to hear you say this whole message...wow, you didn't even take a breath did you....that is by far the longest sentence I have ever seen.
  9. Josh Blake...runs a 4.4 and throws the ball very well.
  10. No success throwing the ball...that was all Grace's D was able to do was stop the pass with a few INTs. Watching Nic in pre game, he throws the ball very well, but doesn't seem to make great decisions throwing in the game...probably since he has been out of the game so long. Boyd has some big ol boys, wow! They got smart and ran all over the field after their first two INTs right off the bat. Congrats Boyd, y'all are good!
  11. That is definitely not talking trash...that is your opinion. I however don't see it that bad. If Grace shows up like they did last week, it will be a great game. If the team from the first game does, then it could be as bad as you say. I hope for last week's team;)
  12. Please tell me you are a teenager...you and Wildcat seem like you two would have some fun on here with eachother. BTW, the comment about how Ric says wooooh wasn't an insult...just mentioning it. I for one am not a perfect speller but just thought I would mention it. And if your "connections" can make games happen, then obviously AD and/or coach do not have control...unless you are talking about future years. You make it sound like you can just get a game started tonight. And BTW, I'm not a DB fan.
  13. I think Ric Flair said it, WOOOOOOHHHHHH. The "oo" sound would make it sound kind of funny. And no, unless you are a coach or AD, you have no power to set a game up. And I would hope you are not either of those because I would hope any coach or AD would show better class, even more being a Christian school...even if this is a message board.
  14. You are correct, comparing those few athletes on DB to college/NFL is over the top. However, why would you be talking about gameplan of your team? I doubt that will happen, it takes longer then a week to change from a wing offense to a spread.
  15. That was exactly what I was thinking! DB is much improved, but don't get carried away now. After that loss to LV, y'all dropped in my book...I'm not sure I have you above SD now.
  16. I don't think that will happen and I don't think they can be very successful doing so. Grace has three seniors and I think a soph in the secondary and they are pretty solid athletes. Fuquan Harper, Josh Blake, Steffan Grahm and Caleb Rogers are pretty solid cover guys. I see Boyd putting pressure on the front line and forcing them to make the stops. I look forward to watching this game!
  17. Well, your answer doesn't surprise me as far as you being a different team. Obviously being the first scrimmage, you got to work some things out. As far as seeing your athletes, I'm sure y'all have a solid team. Not quite sure I would put you in the top 10 still, but good to hear how much you've improved. I just had to comment cuz though I'm sure you are ten times better now, going from what we saw to a top ten is probably a bit much. But congrats anyway and good luck to y'all!
  18. OK, what has Grace Christian done to deserve a top spot? I don't know that much about them and their schedule, but I've seen them play against our team in a scrimmage and they did not look like a top 10 team. Even if it was their first scrimmage, no way they are good enough right now. Now they treat us well and its fun to go up there and watch, but as far as being a top 10...nope!
  19. It seems as though there are different sides to whether he is playing or not. Does anyone have the for sure answer? I hope he is just for reasons he has missed so much football in his high school career. You hate to see that when high school is so short. As far as the first game I saw him play this season, I wasn't as impressed as what many say about him and how talented he is....but he was still a solid QB to have on the field. Of course he is also trying to get a feel of the game on the field being he was out so long. Good luck Hughes and hope you get well!
  20. That was the case last year...I don't think that is the case this year. Josh has MANY more targets on the offensive side of the ball and the game I saw y'all, it didn't seem like your D is as big as you make them to be to be able to contain all the threats of Grace. However, I could be wrong as Boyd always has a respectable hard hitting program. I think this is a much closer game. Good luck to both!
  21. Wow, its over, Grace won...move on to who is playing this week.
  22. This has been a funny board to keep up with...and I'm for neither school. A lot going on that isn't about the game...marriage? Wow! You both are correct, we don't know you so we can't judge if you are ready for married...but America's older teens statistically ARE NOT ready for marriage...young marriages are things of the past when the majority of young teens were more responsible and mature. About the offense...you run the offense that best suits your team and the type of players you have. With DB's players, especially QB, yes the spread is much better offense to run...same with Grace. But some schools aren't suited for the spread and therefore use another style O. I think the teen and the much older poster need to just focus on THIS game at hand and stop fussin about which offense is nationally better and who should get married. Good luck to both teams!
  23. LOL, well I guess if you are basing it on when Grace played y'all, then you are right. You guys shut down everyone pretty much. I think what others have brought up is right on...it all depends on how the line from Grace does. They need to give Josh time to either find one of many targets or time to take off and do what he do. They did a great job against SD holding SD d line, but Boyd is a much bigger and tougher team. I look forward to this game and good luck to Boyd...but not enough luck to win;). Hope your QB is doing better!
  24. Not dogging the score...actually appreciate the prediction after last year...but about Josh being only player: What about Cody Cross, Fuquan Harper, Taylor Wilson, Steffan Grahm, Nat Parton, Jefferson Walker...those are only a few names that are standing out already...there are more players, especially on defense, that are making names for themselves. But from watching, these guys are making noise and when Josh has these guys around him, makes him even more dangerous.
  25. It won't be like last year. It depends on if Grace continues to get better. They have shown much improvement in each game they play and looked very impressive in beating Silverdale. This is going to be the true test for them as Boyd has some big boys that hit hard and some talented players. Grace has more targets this year so hopefully they will give Boyd a tough game. Good luck to both teams and hope you stay injury free!
