  1. On the football field, yes. Note the Gold Balls. Off the field? Not according to the FBI! Speck and plank thing, ya know.
  2. I notice you didn't answer the question. And I'd rather have inbred hicks around than dangerous criminals.
  3. I just have one question, and let's not beat around the Bush here, ok Senator? True or false: Memphis is on the FBIs top ten most dangerous cities in the US?
  4. George changes his offense every week. One week we may run Power I, sometimes pro, sometimes spread. It will depend week per week and who we play and their weaknesses.
  5. SD, leaving all the rental cabins in the county tuned to MyVLT doesn't count as "winning the ratings!" Methinks Sdot likes to see the referee i all white with a red hat play with that cord while the Smoky Bears band plays.
  6. At least you admit this coach's comments have made this thread a garbage fire.
  7. Holy moly. I've heard of players posting on these boards (maybe even was one at one time... I'll plead the fifth on that), but never a coach! It simply has to be embarrassing for the program. Cue the "standing up for a friend" rhetoric.
  8. I got to dress varsity as a freshman on this team (don't ask me how?). Alcoa was supposed to spank us. Largest crowd I can remember at Alcoa for an AHSvMHS showdown. I was so scared they had to drag me out of the locker room to go warm up. Derek Hunt played one of the best games I can remember him ever playing that night, and that was coming off a concussion at the Jamboree two weeks before. 41-21, I'll never forget it. It was my first high school football game.
  9. I haven't been a big fan of Farragut folk since I was in high school, but I have gotten to know a few of them better in my later days and they really aren't all pretentious. Some are, as we've seen in this thread, but I like to think it's the minority. Don't worry rw87, that dad will be watching his son play small college baseball from some other sidewalk soon enough, dreaming of what could have been if his son could have followed Kyle Serrano's footsteps and been a decent pitcher on a terrible UT baseball team.
  10. Gov91, you can either agree with us Rebels or be wrong, we don't really care which.
  11. Ditto on best high school game I've ever watched. Hard to beat the Maryville v siegel from 2012. But I think it does! Great game to both teams. Great season Ravenwood. CONGRATS TO 2014 STATE CHAMPS! 15 and COUNTING!
  12. Well, the kick at the half (right before that touchdown to tie it) Jefferson returned the ball to the 50.... so maybe GQ weighing his options? Not sure. I definitely questioned GQ's clock management in the last 5 minutes. But all is well that ends well!! 15 time state champions!
  13. Surely we can get a strong commitment from one of the freshman recruits out of Knoxville today, considering StarsNBars is another year older. I think I heard the garbage truck rolling through West Hills earlier. I don't think we can fit any more candles on the cake today Stars!! Happy Birthday, Old man!
  14. LOL I totally forgot about Bladerunner. Such a class act.
  15. Yo, I was obviously joking about the suspensions. Anyways. SC came out fired up but honestly I don't think they gameplaned very well. Got down twenty one REAL quick and never recovered. Nothing to hang your heads about Bears, great season, come back next year and make East Tennessee 6A football proud. Now, time to LOLOLOLOLOL at SOME of the SC fans. Both on Coach T and at the game. I mosied on over to the visitors side to visit with some friends and heard all kinda nonsense. Yelling about officials when you're down 52-14 is just comical. It sure ain't the bad spot or the missed hold call that's whipping that tail!
  16. Here, I'll spill the beans. 6 students a Maryville High School thought using counterfeit money would be a funny prank. The police were involved, and some of the six students were football players. An investigation is ongoing. 17. It doesn't matter who the backfield player in motion is, as long as there is only one player in motion when the ball is snapped and he isn't moving towards the line of scrimmage at the time of the snap. Don't make rules up.
  18. Problematic, you may be my favorite WhiteHaven poster. You are correct, and I am guilty of making it more about the referees than the game. It was a wonderful game to watch. Perhaps the best HS football game I have ever seen. I simply hope the best referees will be on the field next year in Cookeville. For all classifications.
  19. Obviously the outcome of the game at this point will NEVER change because of a bad call. HOwever, I think discussion and media attention (Blount Press Row's story is great, as was Smithey's Prep Xtra) on the missed call that cost the Rebels the LEAD (not necessarily the game) is a good thing. It brings about attention to the referees again. I saw a good point yesterday. If a player preforms poorly, he looses playing time. If coaches preform poorly, they are fired. If referees preform poorly, they are talked about on message boards and ignored by their governing body (TSSAA). What I don't understand is you have the top two programs in the state at any given year playing in the largest division and State Title game. Why in the world would the TSSAA have the ABSOLUTELY VERY BEST crew on the field? How are referees chosen for these games?? I can nearly guarantee it's seniority and not ability. Mr Darden and his clueless white-hatted friend must have been doing this for a long time, so they got the spot. No ability analysis, no question on how good they are or what their backgrounds were. They have been asking for 10 years, so they got the game. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. How else would incompetent refs get such an important game? The players have worked too hard to become the best to receive sub par referees, and the TSSAA should do something about this for the future. PUT YOUR BEST REFS ON THE FIELD FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.
  20. Especially with the Senator's savior failing to call a spike to win in regulation. If they're down 1, they lose at the end of regulation. Great coaching.
  21. No, maryville did not win. But we've been to the past nine championship games and won 6!! How many has OR won? Or even made it to? How about semi finals?? Oh wait! Bahahahaa
  22. What a joke bahaha, well, LSU lost to Alabama, who will win the national championship. And you are darn right Whitehaven was good. They'd beat Oak Ridge by 50! bahaha
  23. I believe your original question was directed at me. I have ties to the LSU tigers. So want to discuss pitiful?? We could talk Oak Ridge football??
