  1. Well , there you are Geoff... how have you been ( a little confused? ). Just take your meds and eat your breakfast at the drugstore and all will be well ( almost ). 971 OUT
  2. NO I am not a HERITAGE supporter , I am somewhat new to this area of the country and have been in this specific area for only a few months. I meant nothing derogatory towards AHS, that is just one of the many things I have heard ( not everything I have learned is about AHS). I have a real love for football and just happen to believe that football at this level is the most pure form of the sport. I do post from time to time but I mainly just lurk. Thanks for the explanation.
  3. I have heard that ALCOA classifies some of their student - athletes that cannot make the grade as " learning disable" so then they can still qualify to play under TSSAA rules. Is there any such rule?
  4. LIKE HE SAID SOUNDS LIKE AN EASY WIN FOR YOU.
  5. well here you are Geoff , harassing those whom you so most want to be like. It is time for your meds and treatment. Do not forget to order the special for breakfast in the morning. 971 OUT.
  6. How cozy GEOFF , you have a buddy to look over you. 971 out. ssptyhd29384 /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  7. Now Geoff, I know you have not had your enema this week but please be nice. We will get you in after you leave the drugstore. 971 out.
  8. I like that term ... " calculated strike"... how about you Geoff? 971
  9. Yes we know what you like and we are treating you for it. See you at the drugstore in the morning?
  10. Good afternoon Geoff how are things out at 971 W O.? You really should be nicer to people. seems you might need some medication or maybe just a blanket. hmmmm.
  11. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? THE PARENTS ARE THE PROBLEM.
  12. so sorry ole chap. at least you have a good sense of humor.
  13. Geoff , is that you? you really should take your meds , it will help you with your multiple personality disorder. see you in the morning at the drugstore.
  14. YOU PERSONIFY THE PROBLEM that is pervasive in the community. What an idiot.
  15. so you've Been reading this entire thread.
  16. Ok , I agree with you on the law. If it were my son and he was arrested for this I would be awe struck , hurt for him and I would stand by him even if he was guilty. And at the point where he was apprehended while evading police while in possession of stolen property there are going to be affects on him , his family , his friends , school and his team REGARDLESS of whether he his convicted or not. What I am saying is that the appearance of impropriety is what affects the previously mentioned. By not allowing him to participate in a ballgame is not convicting him for a crime, his character at this point is in question and participating in sports is a privilege not a right. Do you see where I am coming from. These young men need to see the error of their ways , they need to be ratcheted down a little so they do not ruin their lives. If not now when? When it is too late.? agreed! agreed!
  17. Is that really the best you can do? Getting better ,are you serious? Just look at the NFL ranks, Tn Titan steps on the face of another player with intent to do harm beyond the game. Tn Titan cannot stay out of trouble , even with all his $$$ he cannot control the urge to get into trouble. Fla St athlete moons fans from the endzone. UT player repeatedly arrested for DUI. IT goes on and on and all because at the first sign of at risk behavior they get coddle and there is no consequence (no loss , no sacrifice on their part) for their actions. Don't be ridiculous , athletes are generally held to a higher standard and are expected to "represent" their institution(s) and community at a higher level than "others. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> "
  18. so they should just be let go with a slap on the wrist? You show you ignorance and I would bet that you could never get on a jury.
  19. This is true and thank God that it is. When someone is watched and then is subsequently chased and arrested and over $9000.00 worth of STOLEN merchandise is recovered then Iwould say that they do not play. Just because they are not allowed to play does not convict them. The appearance of guilt based on compelling evidence is enough cause for those involved to face the consequences of their actions. If the coach , AD or school admin allows these kids to play then they will be doing them a huge disservice affecting the rest of their lives. If anyone as an adult , parent or authority figure (especially those in their communty) does not recognize this then there is no hope for their future except prison.
  20. There are many schools in this area that would bring the hammer down but A-E is not one of them.
  21. yes , why don't the parents do something? what a novel idea , never happen. no consequences , no discipline , no respect , no self respect , its the prevailing mentality today.
  22. Geoff , did you enjoy your breakfast this morning? You sure are an early riser. Remember to take your meds before you strike out today.
  23. I am all for innocent until proven guiltybut an arrest has been made so there must be compelling evidence to the fact. The fact remains that this is a little beyond "beginning to show at risk behavior." If any of these were my children they would definitely not be playing football after this. This has become a pervasive problem over the last several decades all the way through to the professional ranks due to the lack of consequences for actions within a culture. As a result our young people "grow up" ,or not , doing whatever they want to. Just look at the headlines over the years and it is getting progressively worse because of the lack of discipline for whatever reason. I would submit ,that any COACH worth his salt, that truly cares about his young men (or women) would do what is appropriate in this situation and what is best for the team , school and sets the best example.
