Yes, Central did beat us 5-1. And, they are really good. Central 6 - Page 0. I don't know who this DCmom4life is, but we didn't even score on a through ball, nor is she his mother. So, thanks for the hype, but let's be honest. For a long time CCS and ND have both made state and one of them always loses in district, right? Tarp, we would love to, but we've got Prom Friday night. Maybe next year?

I definitely don't play for them, but I bet that the reason that there is not a lot of talk about Central Magnet is because the Central Magnet fans are not getting on the message boards to talk about them. The reason that everyone talks about the private schools and Chattanooga teams is because their fans get on the boards. I definitely have to give Central credit though, they have played tough teams and have really done well.

Maybe they did take their lucky gold? Just joking, I've been in the same position and totally agree with saw4ND. I was just trying to get people stirred up a little.

You Chattanooga fans think you are so special, well I'm not in a district with 5 teams, and choose not to play one of them because they are too far away. we play everybody regardless of their skill level and yes we did score 17 goals, but we never demoralized their girls or angered their coach. I have done everything I can to help them get their team started and help them along the way. Maybe you just put to much emphasis on the score. Next time you want to shame someone maybe you should check into the situation a little.

Wow, as if any of you have a clue? I played every player, starting forward played goalkeeper, asked the other coach if he would like to end the game at half, and he said no. told the girls not to score, so they passed the ball for 5 min. without the other team touching it. The coach said his girls needed more practice at half so we continued to play. We never celebrated a goal and only scored with players that don't get chances in other games. You are so quick to judge. What would you do if the coach asked you to keep playing so his girls could get more practice? Get a life!!!

There is a split, they just choose not to go to D2, so that they can continue to have an unfair advantage over the public schools who cannot recruit, or bring in kids from any distance. But, I'm sure its fair, that's why none of the public schools who have made it to the State playoffs have won it in several years? I guess its because private schools just have better coaches, or maybe because they can play travel. I have heard all of the excuses, but still the fact remains, THERE IS A SPLIT AND THEY CHOOSE TO STAY!!!! We don't have a choice.

DeKalb hosted a Preseason Play Day on Sat. It was a great day, great weather, no major injuries (that I'm aware of). Thanks to all that came out and participated and supported the teams. Scores: DeKalb 3 Cannon 0 Cannon 3 Smith 0 Smith 0 White 3 White 1 Stone 1 Stone 0 DeKalb 1 DeKalb 1 Smith 0 Cannon 1 White 3 Smith 0 Stone 2 White 1 DeKalb 2 Stone 3 Cannon 2 Stone Beat Cannon in 3rd Place Game White Beat DeKalb in 1st Place Game (in PK's) Don't read too much into the scores. 30 min. matches and a lot of JV players got time. Overall it was a really good warm-up for the season.

DCTIGERFAN, I appreciate your interest. As for the Tigers this year, we are young, only three seniors, but this could be the team that finally breaks through the region semifinals. We're young, hungry, and talented. I'm excited, but I know that, like most rural public schools, we are an injury or two away from struggling. So, come out and see potentially the best ever DC soccer team.

Murfreesboro Central - Defending Champs, Returning almost everybody, expect them to be strong. Livingston - Lost alot of talent in Carr, but expect them to have a strong team, King always does. Smith Co. - Have been moving up, have a strong coaching staff, with the addition of the G'ville boys, they should be tough. Cannon Co. - "Should have their Best Team Ever" according to coach Gannon. Last year their school really started getting behind them. Should be exciting. Macon Co. - New to the district,but I think we are all familiar. Usually puts together a physical team that can challenge people. York - Usually has some good atheletes, not sure what they have coming back. Goodpasture - Also new to the district, Not sure what they have, but expect they will produce a challenge for most of the district. Merrol Hyde - Another new team to the district, but their girls were ridiculously good. If they produce the same quality of boys team, they will finish near the top. I think several teams have a chance at finishing in the top two. Any thoughts?

I'm sure this girl is excellent, based on everything you have said about her, and I would love to see her play someday. However, the title of the post is "States best player ever" and Tim Howard live in Memphis.... I think I'd have to give him the "best player ever title"
