The Rebels have been to the Top and overcome an emotional mountain two weeks in a row. This week they face another upHill battle. Science leaves room for no emotion. Therefore, after "Sullivan's Travel"(1941) I believe their overall record will head South.

Yikes!!!! An overall losing record for the big 8 this year. No matter what after this week the big 8 will have the exact same amount of wins as losses. As of right now the big 8 stands at 15-23 on the year, with 2 games left this week. No big 8 5A team has a winning record unless South beats Betsy. It's to early to start thinking about next year isn't it. It's Over Rock! I'm Throwin' in the towel. Ain't Nothin Over!!!! Somebody needs to start playing "Eye of the Tiger" Any chance I'll get to see a 2nd round playoff game in the area? IMAC(?) 5A is doing better record wise this year so round 2 will be traveling there, correct?

It seems to me the winds in East Tennessee are slowing down this year. This will come back to haunt me, but I'll say it anyway. There are no wind advisories in Elizabethton, or Greeneville on THIS Friday night. No Cyclone and No Tornado. Rebels will Yell and Devils will Raise . Course, both usually HIT without warning and cause massive damage.

I meant no disrespect to DB by anything I posted. I didn't attend the game. I was referring to the hit of the night. I was just comparing the three 5A schools from the big 8 that had a chance at the playoffs. I apologize if I offended. Everyone already knows DB is the King of the big 8.

Once again, THE UNTOUCHABLES, can't be stopped. I'm really glad the db player got the hit of the night. Betsy took a beating by North so that makes that loss to Betsy on your record not look so good. I know DB beat SS worse than they beat db, but DB still won big without their starting QB. Hope the kids ok. One thing is for sure, db likes to hit. With that said jury is still out on 5A. Both SS and TH look good at times and really bad at times. The remaining games with TH and SS are huge. Even with the "not so" big 8 down this year, the remainder of the year looks to play out pretty sweet. Likely 3 teams fighting for 2(I hope) spots. Good luck to db and DB(hope you guys get healthy this week).

That was a great game. However it still seemed like neither wanted to win. I know that's not true, but plenty of mistakes to go around for both sides. SS has put themselves into position for the top 5A spot out of the "not so" Big 8. IMO SS took way to many big sacks. Why not just throw it away? Would that be worse than taking an 8 yd loss? TH looked really good at times, but really awful at times. Can I get TH some stick-em or is that stuff illegal? The only thing missing last night was my entourage, lol. Don't get me wrong the South fans I was around were great. Miss my crew. Get better quick FMo, friday nights just aren't the same.

Does DB not have a special teams unit? Most every opponent you face seem to think the key to beating DB is via special teams. It hasn't worked yet, of course nothing has this year.

everyone was optimistic db, TH, SS fighting for top 5A spot gonna be close this year TH is gonna be the top spot, db 0-1 fans uneasy, SS no one knows cuz it was a team from nc db 0 and 2 fans jump ship, TH rolling this will be there year, SS fans turn on one another TH takes step back, db wins a game and suddenly they r ok, SS "imploding" TH season is over no hope, SS quite, db will dominate everyone So pretty much in 4 games we've had each fan base pound their chest and hang there head. 5A is up for grabs if any of those three teams wants it. I believe tonights winner comes out 5A leader at the end of the season. I know this will be a very unpopular post with the db fans. You shouldn't get upset though cuz the opposite of what I say always happens. 2 or 3 years ago SS posters were the most vocal, but I believe there are two left. 2 or 3 years ago the db posters were few, amazing what some wins do for a program, now they are everywhere. TH gets the consistency award however when it comes to posters.

I see 3 tiers in the big 8 1. Dobyns Bennett (THE UNTOUCHABLES) 2. Science Hill (I don't think they have reached DB level yet) 2a. Daniel Boone, Sullivan South, Tennessee High (Still to early to tell) 3. David Crockett, Sullivan Central, Volunteer (Not even close) I believe if you combine 2-5 you could compete with 1. If you combine 6-8 you couldn't compete with 2-5, much less 1.

Yes you are still winning and that's all that matters. You also have more T-Posters left than South. There are many differences. However, bickering is bickering. You have less to grumble about. At the end of the day a win is a win, and a loss is a loss no matter the spread. Disagreement on philosophy is a given no matter the success or failure of a program. In that department we are all in the same boat. No one has the same philosophy, but apparently the philosophy of your coaching staff is working at the present time. I see no losses in your record. Sorry! Before I can make any type of decision, can someone please explain to me what is going on at Tennessee High? How long are players suspended? No need for great detail into the saga. If the key playmakers aren't on the field for Tennessee High, South wins. I'm headed to Death Valley friday night and was hoping for a great game. The "not so" Big 8 has me baffled this year.
