DSM10 is from Blount County, i.e., an ALCOA and/or MARYVILLE fan. Need I say more?

There are 12 football teams in DIIAA, the subdivision that generally has the larger schools. There are DIIAA girls' schools also, e.g. Hutchison. DIIA has more schools than DIIAA. Schools like Webb. MUS has a first week bye then likely will face BA here in week 2. Historically, BA is the only TN team that has had the Owls number, and their greater experience and speed makes them the favorite.

It was a joking comment. Whenever a DII poster refers to BC on a thread, even rather innocuously, they're subject to getting a nasty "stirring up the pot" response by those who see "enemies" of BC lurking behind every bush. Yet when THEY comment gratuitously about DII on ANY site, they are just having some fun "trolling" for "fish" and above criticism. E.G., see #45-48 in "AllState this far"

LOL. ALL 12 DIIAA teams make the playoffs. Regular season is just for seeding. It extends the season by one week but eliminates any whining (look around the D1 threads!) That extra week means nothing since they end up waiting 2 or 3 weeks for the Clinic Bowl as it is. MUS lost the game for West #1 to their arch-rival CBHS 21-14 on a TD with 18 secs left. The game was on FoxSports TN.

Was your comment about the BC Middle School League "trolling" or "stirring up the pot?" Darned if I've ever been able to tell the difference....Regardless, only the BC boys are allowed to do it, and it is their favorite sport. (Were you racially motivated? LOL)

Congrats on your team's showing. No doubt the 33 points scored against the vaunted 'Naders shook up a bunch of the BC brethren. Too bad it wasn't 18 pts more.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the level fairness of your comments. Please do me the courtesy of stating why you think Alcoa was the best overall team in TN last year? That was not the prevailing opinion, so I was interested in your reasons. I personally don't know as I have never seen Alcoa play, though I have tried. Memphis did not carry their Clinic Bowl game.

Tony, Tony, Tony. Did you ever miss a chance when "BC" made his post #135 about typing with only one hand. You should have asked him whatever was he doing with the other hand! LOL

The Alcoa "intellectuals" spend a great deal of time in the highly challenging and very adult sport of "trolling" so all of us need to resist the urge to respond and thus become their "fish." They are pathetic and hold no possibility for introspection or change, so it's best to ignore them completely. They want you to get pissed off and respond. They get off on it.

Thanks for your offer of help. I wonder sometimes what to believe on these threads anymore. I'm retiring tonight. Your reputation remains intact, so maybe you can remain one of the voices or reason.

I had thought you would at least know something about MBA

First we were told that BA, MBA et al all had been contacted and declined to play in the "BC Bowl." Now we are being told that MBA and /or Baylor are playing. Does anybody know anything for sure? When will there be any public statement???

You can't imagine how good it is to hear from you. I quit posting today. Can't take the brats at Alcoa any more. I can't make a post without them showing up to demean MUS. Just finished reading the "Alcoa-Stone Memorial" thread. Another targeted poster who confronts them like me "Tony Dalton" seems ready to throw in the towel too. Would love to know if there is any truth to the "BC Bowl" talk.

Good luck as always this season. I miss Nashville and my MBA friends. Wish we played each other than the playoffs. Always a pleasure win or lose.
