  1. Thanks Wrestlersdad. I'll tell Hunter. We miss ya'll. Wish you guys the best.
  2. Hunter is at Arlington now. We miss Dickson considerably. Good luck boys.
  3. I'm glad to see some WTN wrestlers/coaches are getting rewarded for their hard work. They kind of get forgotten about over there. Congrats coach Bradley!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. The link isn't working for me.
  5. This is a good tournament. Competitive and well run.
  6. What type, age, size, color, reversable or not, match lines and practice circles.
  7. Dancin a jig, Dancin a jig. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> I'm so happy I'm dancin a jig. Even the coaches in Memphis are happy about it. Now they only have to drive 3 hours. This move has benifited everyone in the state except the Chat teams.
  8. This is the greatest thing I have heard on this board. Who would have thought that Coach Jordan making a stand concerning the State dual tournament would pull the individual tournament back to middle tennessee. I remember when I was a boy seeing my brother wrestle when state was at Lipscomb. I remember the atmospher being more intense and more electric. I hope the new location will make the finals better staged and more dramatic.

I don't know if it is a look of having his prized cow run over. That would be a much different look that I have seen and you don't want to. He is usually right anyway. Sorry I didn't get back with you quick enough. I have a life. As far as proof I'm gonna go with "what he said" Thanks CHSCOACH for the assist. In addition I remember there being a section on there needing to be a non-bias or partial official. I could be wrong but at the very least it seems logical. I'm not going to look for it. I just don't have time. Please endulge yourself.
  10. The comments Jordan made were valid. Refs from any region shouldn't ref matches with that regions team in it at State. It is in the rules but is an unobserved rule. At the very least it gives that team an advantage as they know how that ref calls things. All refs are a little different by individual and by region. About why Clarksville decided not to host. Well you can ask him. It's because people whined. He doesn't go for whining from his wrestlers or from those that should be thankful that he helped save the tournament in the first place. Basically if you don't like do it yourself. Now someone else can COWBOY UP and put it on.
  11. I find it difficult to beleive someone would attack Coach Jordan. He is by far one of the best coachs in the State or you could say Nation as he was a national coach of the year. He has taken two different programs, that were not much prior to him, to state championships. Look at the number of ex-wrestlers that are now coaches and refs. I've never heard of anyone having as many ex-wrestlers become coaches. He is "great" and inspires greatness in those that wrestle for him.
  12. I didn't think you could go to girls state if you have wrestled any matches against boys during the season. Did that change.
  13. Takelo is there 189. Badon is the 160.
  14. Here are the results from the Dickson -Hendersonville match tonight. It was a good match. 125 Shepherd DC - Jones HV 12-1 4 130 Townsend HV - Townsend DC 2-15 4 135 Treloar HV - Jordon DC 1-4 3 140 Bennett DC - Newton HV 6-4 3 145 Smith DC - Thomas HV 10-9 3 152 Binson HV - Ramsey DC 7-18 4 160 Mead HV - Tier DC Pin 6 171 Powers DC - Conner HV Pin 6 189 Badon DC - Jaeckel HV 8-2 3 215 Talley DC - Odum HV Pin 6 285 Takelo DC - Carmean HV Pin 6 103 Curris HV Forfeit 6 112 Large HV - Large DC Pin 6 119 Johnson HV - Shepherd DC Pin 6 Final Score - 31-35 Hendersonville
  15. I wouldn't call it crushed. It was closer than I thought the young Arlington team would put together. Most of the matchs were competative. Cordova looked like a solid team and Arlington looked good for their age.
  16. The state tournament isn't the quality event it once was or could be. The lack of warm up mats and switching to the middle of the week really puts it over the top. Those issues are UTCs, not having a full double elimination, no decent food for wrestlers and a single finals format is the TSSAAs. I went to Kentucky's state tournament and was amazed. Since we are free on Sat. and you like wrestling in general I would suggest going. It was truly one of the most awesome high school wrestling events I've ever seen. Finals were under spot lights with the rest of the facility in darkness. It was really something. You knew you were at a big time event. It felt bigger and grander even though it is a smaller facility and they have much fewer teams in their state. There is no reason TNs can't be at that same level. TNs has gotten to the point that it feels like a formality rather than a crescendo to a great season. I remember when it was held at David Lipscomb it was captivating and the place was full of electricity. Currently if you don't have a dog in the fight it isn't nearly as entertaining an environment as it could be. My 2cents, sorry if I offend not really looking to peck a fight.
  17. I've used it before. It's a good site to run a tournament from. If you have a computer and internet access it is very efficient and easy for anyone to get recent updates. Well as frequent as you update it anyway. Its very similar to any other tournament software except this one is only and viewable by anyone.
  18. Sorry, I really don't remember any of the specifics other than Dickson of course. We did well considering we are always giving up 18pts. Hard to overcome when your down by 18 before right out of the blocks but the boys do it well. North East has improved considerably since we wrestled them at the beginning of the year. Creekwood has improved more than any team i've seen. For a rebuilding year coach Mick and Proctor have taken them a long way. Clarksville is much stronger than I thought they would be this year. Although that should have been expected from Jordan and Artie. Thanks to all the teams that came. I hope you enjoyed the tournament.
