  1. You are going the wrong way if it takes you four hours...
  2. Why should radio give up their box? Radio does EVERY game...just doesn't come in for one big one.
  3. I have Knox Central in Quadrant 1 and Clinton in Quadrant 2.

  8. I can't get any bracket to load...bandwidth might be an issue...
  9. Why is CoachT already reporting a final score of Oak Ridge 41, Anderson County 33 for this game. I'm in the Tri-Cities. Maybe we missed something up here on start time...
  10. Rhodes transferred from Avery County, NC to Cloudland before the 2011-12 season. Whittemore is a senior at Virginia High School, in Bristol, VA...

  12. TSSAA will pay Sullivan South's expenses to Columbia and any game hereafter should they pull the first-round upset. I was at South on Friday and AD Richardson and head coach Haynie were not aware of the by-law situation with 10 and/or 11 games. In fact the quote was "Enka faces a really good team in T.C. Roberson and if they lose that hurts us on the tie-breaker and we would have a tough time getting." There were no motions in place beforehand. AD Richardson told me this afternoon someone not even associated with the school call their attention to the error. With all that said, the simplest solution and would have affected just one more team would be to make South the 8th seed in Quadrant 1 and move Knox Central, the orginal 8 seed in Quadrant 1 into Cleveland's No. 8 spot in Quadrant 2. Central may not geographically next in line to move to Quadrant 2 but it's simpler than blowing up the entire bracket by moving Powell or Knox West.
  13. Folks, you can always find updated standings here...South indeed still has D-B twice and Science Hill twice. District I Baseball, Softball & Soccer Standings from TriCitiesSports.com
  14. Technicality but Kingston also lost in pool play to Grainger, but came back in championship bracket play to win over the Lady Grizzlies. I was very impressed by Kingston. Only one senior on the roster and the Lady Jackets started three sophomores and three freshman. Slap hitter at lead-off [spurgeon] was 4-for-4 in the title game. Pitcher [Gaines] was tough and took a rocket shot to the ribs, but got right back in the circle after a few minutes. Here are links to my coverage of the event... 15. TSSAA Football Playoff Scenarios A-Plenty as Regular Season Winds Down
  16. A fee IS required for membership in the TSWA. Local representation on the TSWA team is dependant on local members of the TSWA pushing their players. I am told there are very few NET members of the TSWA as organizations stopped paying the membership fees for the writers. Same way with myself...I paid the fee with a personal check so I get to vote. With a state finalist [Greeneville] and two semi-finalists [Elizabethton and Sullivan South] as well as outstanding seasons by Boone and THS, there should be some NET representation on the TSWA 3A, 4A and 5A teams.
  17. Honey D Man...if you're going to cut and paste things of TriCitiesSports.com, you at least need to give us credit...
