Did not know that they had switched from their wing "O"; they were in wing when we played game # 1. We were fortunate to win. What has happened to them? They have always run that stuff!, and they looked pretty good week # 1 Don't they have Aric (former HC and the big wing guy) on staff. When he was there before as HC..........they were very slick with that offense; In fact; we copied some of the jet stuff at Beech. It was our big play when we beat Columbia for stste title. He was our HC here at Beech a few years back; we ran mostly "I" when he was here before........if I remember correctly. Go Bucs.............beat the Borros.

MJ seems to be struggling, but the win over WC keeps them in good play-off shape WC looked like a very good team early on, but that loss to MJ may be a coffin nail..................................have they got injured 's back to line-up? and then Lebanon........the legendary coach from Kentucky appears to have contacted "Devil Fever"...........it can be a fatal malady. someone over that way; bring us up to speed..........my boys at Beech ran into a an offensive buzz-saw the other night; glad we will not have face them in the post-season! First..........officials did make (2) "no fumble calls"; but that happens. Second............Oakland got a huge "break" at end of 1st half............they have no T.O.'s get the ball on the 1-2 yd line with 1.2 sec; officials set the chains.......then ref must step in to wind the clock...........Oakland clocks the ball............still 1.2 sec!! Now, I hate to critique coaches since (1) has one ring and the other has (2)................but in the last minute. 1.) why did Oakland coach call T.O. with a sack to give Blackman a 4th and forever and no T.O.s left...............am I missing something? 2.) With little time left and that big old Blackman SE; I am afraid I would have had to throw at least 1 time to him, AND even though the run on 1st play failed...............No Clock play to get another play??. the gods of FB smiled upon the young lad from Oakland.............Shadowens usually does better (but it will happen to all; if you do it long enough)..............the play by the big Blackman SE to "steal" the catch is the highlight of highlight!! I would have had to throw it towards him at least one more time............but that is just me. Great game to watch.

I must ask. Why is Riverdale scrimmaging these 2 teams? Gallatin is going to be down this year (maybe way down), and Lebanon has been down forever. Go Bucs!!

No, I was standing near some Riverdale folks, and they were a bit surprised that they were doing so well with a soph QB. You are correct; new coaches, new terms. I do think that team I saw that day did not look like typical Wave group; especially in the line, but you never know!!

Watched most of your spring scrimmage with Riverdale (who was without their QB and a couple other key players). My estimate of Lassiter has gone up; I know why he got out now. Your Wave did not look like Wave teams I have seen in the past. I am afraid you could be whistling by the grave yard. The power in Sumner Co. is at my end of the county.............Bucs will rule this year!!

OK...........first week picks 1.) MJ will clobber Lebanon 2.) Station Camp will squeak by HHS 3.) Beech will Clobber Portland 4.) Gallatin will edge WC (this one is dicey though, I watched WC at TC jamboree and they are very much improved.....had some turnovers, but much better. I would not be surprised if the alternate Gallatin squad lost this game). go Bucs

I will attempt to give you an "unbiased" report (*note, I am Beech fan..........just went to last night jamboree to check out the "diminished" Green Wave........our #2 mortal enemy). If there is a better team in your league than Riverdale; your league will be scary. Riverdale is smooth as silk on offense both running and passing (who was it that has been saying that they cannot throw the ball). They will score on anyone they play!! The Riverdale defense is very big and quick; they looked well vs a very good Gallatin QB. The Gallatin offense looked pretty good in spite of the set downs. I would not be surprised to see Riverdale in the title game.........glad that we do not play them in the regular season. The Warriors are the real deal!!

what about scrimmage info?? My Bucs looked OK vs an impressive looking Oakland squad. Appears SC did OK in Clarksville. Did Gallatin look better than Blackman? Also appears my fears about MJ may be correct...........they are pretty good. Did Lebanon really do poorly vs Smyrna......what about a Devil report. Anything on the Commandos, WC, or Portland? Friday nights in the fall mean HS football .......go Bucs
