By playing out a very realistic scenario? IF GC beats UC that means they can lose to TCA and beat McKenzie and still win the region IF Peabody beats TCA. Didn’t predict anything

Honestly don’t know enough about UC to talk much. GC has been winning games by playing hard nosed physical defense and marking a few plays on offense. Lamberson is tough if he gets in open field. Rico will grind on you all night and bust one every now and then. But we hang out hat on defense. From what I’m told UC best offense is their Fullback. What about it?

This excuse takes them all. They beat Humboldt and Dresden so bad they didn’t wanna hurt GCs feelings........ There is zero chance that a coaching staff as good as Peabody had this mentality

So was it the wet field? The Peabody coaches and players not wanting to hurt feelings? The referees being paid by GC? Or was it just that GC had a a good game plan and executed it and gave themselves a chance when no one thought they had one and made 4 plays at the 2 yard line to win a football game?

GC coaches definitely put a solid game plan together and the players bought in 100%. This defense is one of the best ever at GC and coach white deserves a ton of credit for coming in this year and changing the culture.

So...... your coach and players get beat by Gibson County (rival from 6 miles down the road) because they didn’t want to hurt any feelings??? Since when do these 2 schools care about feelings? This may be the craziest excuse I’ve ever seen.

Wow lol. You guys want GC fans to come on here and talk about the game but as soon as anyone says anything you shoot it down cause Peabody is way bigger and way faster than anything GC has lol. Not a single GC fan has said they will win. But this is not the same GC. They finally have some kids playing that haven’t played in the past and it is starting to show. We will see if they can be competitive. BTW. I’m not sure you realize just how fast 4.6 is. If Peabody has 4-5 players on defense running a 4.6 then they are truly one of the most talented 2A football teams ever. And I would love to know who from Peabody rab a 4.3. That is elite speed.

Both teams moved the ball pretty well. GC had quite a bit of trouble with the Waverly passing game. GC moved the ball pretty good and turned it over a few times deep in waverly territory. Don’t know for sure but think waverly scored 6 or 7 times to GC 3 times.

This shows how much you truly know about GC as they haven’t even made a PAT all year lol. Much less a field goal. Look. You guys can get up on your high horse. You won’t see a single GC fan say they are going to win. But I can promise you they won’t just lay down because it’s peabody Like they have in the past. This group of boys have bought in and have the mentality it takes. Will they beat Peabody? Most likely not. This is the best team in 2A in the state. But they won’t just set there and take it. My prediction 42-18 peabody.

Were you at this game? Gibson county was definitely the better team all night. Turnovers is what was killing them. They had 3 in adamsville territory. They finally quit turning it over late and made 2 drives to win the game. Peabody may win by mercy rule. Very possible. But to say the only reason GC beat adamsville was because a kid got hurt is wrong.

What a win for GC! First off, prayer to the kid that was hurt. Never want to see that happen. Hope he get the help and care he needs to get back healthy. Now to the game. This may have been the game GC needed to turn a corner. They had Lake Co beat earlier in he year and couldn’t finish. I believe we were actually the better team tonight. We moved the ball pretty well but turned it over 3 times in adamsville territory. And had some costly penalties to keep drives alive for adamsville. The qb from adamsville was pretty impressive. Stood in there and took some big hits but still made some throws. 11 was tough to cover for our guys. When adamsville had the ball up 10-0 and first and goal GC teams of the past would have folded. Made a stop and made the comeback! BTW. The touchback call on the sack fumble was bar none the absolute worst blown call I have ever seen. And could have been a game changer. How they came to that conclusion I’ll never understand.

I disagree. Both times she was hit directly after the release and wasn’t allowed to follow through. You are right. The contact was low and a result of closing out to hard. But in my opinion affects the shot which in turn should be 3 foul shots. Either way. Was a great game and both teams played hard. GC had a game plan and stuck to it and it looked like it frustrated Darby. Moore is one of the better sophomore pg you will ever see. This is not a bash of either greenfield player. But single a girls ball must be down across the state for both of them to be miss basketball finalist. They both are great players and have a long career ahead of them playing big time ball.

Never seen so many teams so close in the area. Region 7a could have any 2 of union city, greenfield, Peabody, Gibson co, Gleason , huntingdon or Dresden come out of the tourney and I wouldn't be surprised.

Gibson County beats greenfield 47-35 tonight. This district is very competitive. Should be a fun tournament

Would say some of both. Peabody playing much better ball. GC was up by 13 at half and Peabody came out in second half on a roll. GC could get momentum back. Peabody press caused lots of problems and GC couldn't hit anything in second half.

She was impressive no doubt. She got the best of her a few times for sure. But she did play on Darby quite a bit as well. Those two are crazy good for freshmen. Ready to see how it goes the second time around.

Impressive performance for sure. Moore and Darby can flat score. Difference in the game was #3. She had over 20 points. Greenfield shoots the ball that well and they will go a long way. Look forward to the rematch

I agree. Our front court will be the difference. I was more talkin about in the half court defense. Our girls are very aggressive in the man defense.

lol I'm not saying we would have won. I just feel like we would have handled the big girls a little better win her than without her. Not trying to start an argument. Honestly feel like even though we've lost some games we have exceeded expectations so far. All of our losses are against very good teams. And they were all close. My only point is we would have been better and matched up better with her than without her. And really GC went about 7 deep last year and only 3 of the 7 are back gettin playing time this year. Very young team. Sorry if I came across the wrong way
