banjo, you are ready for the straight jacket buddy wartburg's man not nearly the coach of the henry's. they are much better than 1-42. you people up there in wartburg were going to change everything and fix you program by getting rid of the bear up there. your solution to solving the problem has till now been promoting his former asst and his former quarterback as well as others involved in his program to fix things. how is that going for you so far. coach shoe has been there for the length of your losing or down streak so he is at least partly responsible for the losses in 07 33-7, 06 32-6, 05 46-6, 04 41-6, wasn't that shoe's defense getting stung by my boys or was that some other shoemaker standing over there on your sidelines. Ok I didn't want to but I have got to say Wartburg fans are either the most optimistic fans in the entire world or suffering from some sort of serious mental problems. You guys are to be admired or to be made fun of. Every week you get on your threads and predict victory and every week your predictions are dead wrong. 1-42 as someone else posted speaks for itself. How long will it take you to give it up. Your team hasn't scored 28 points in the last two years and now you are going to put up 28 in one game on Oneida. I mentioned earlier that midway would beat you because they have a better staff. I feel the same way in this one. I heard that Nelson was calling all your offensive plays is that true? I know I offfer my opinion about the dogs more than the bulldog fans would like but I am actually finding it hard to be right on my game predictions. The Wartburg program is probably the very worst program in the state and that is not something that I enjoy saying. I don't feel like things will get better out there until they (the community) face reality and deal with their problem. It is obvious on here that the fans don't have a grasp on what the situation really is. Did you honestly think you would beat Midway? I don't think they have much coming up from middle school and they need to start building from there. One thing that good programs have is control over their feeder system like jr pro, middle school, and high school. Wartburg seems to have many boy's club all stars but no real players that in my opinion is where it all starts. Good luck to the dogs for the remainder of the season and I won't be talking anymore trash on here. Wartburg has become a sad situation and no longer a joke, as far as I am concerned.

Gogetta, You are pulling the we are ahead in the overall series record argument. so you beat us a bunch in 1950 that is not a valid way to state anything. Lets look at the record of the two in the last 5 years. Wartburg is 1-900 during that time and i am sorry but it was a fluke that you beat us last year. The staff down there is going to pull it out this year and that coach of yours is hardly a great one what is he 1-20 as a head coach, and wasn't he Larry Davis asst also. I guess you could say he has been around for the entire time to go 1-90000 so don't say your staff is better than anyones and don't act like you have a tradition to build on. If your team turns the ball over 9 times that is a lack of preparation. Coach Kries would have killed us if we had done that. It was simply not allowed. You guys at wartburg wouldn't understand something like that because with tradition comes responsibility. Without tradition comes well what you guys have now. Bledsoe looked to be a good team to me. You guys just worry about Midway then we'll get together a little later. Last year was a fluke and I would venture to say this year will be a bit different

I basically agree with you on your picks but I would look for the Wartburg transfer to play and make an impact. The family has or is moving. I think it would all depend on who's going to Clarkrange. I heard it was one that was a freshman last year. The only ones that stood out to me was Kidd and Davidson so if they are losing one of them it could be a major problem. Why does everyone look at West as the best coach in the District? In my opinion Christopher, Davis, Snow, and West are all about the same. I don't know if you can make a real difference between any of them. Although I would have to take Snow at the top since he has won 400+ games

Midway 24 Wartburg 6 Gogetta12 are you really going to say this is wartburg's year? They lost to a bad Monterrey team and turned the ball over way to much. Turnovers are a direct result of coaching or a lack of it. Ill go for the team with the more solid staff and in this one that Midway by far.

Coalfield has many positives to take out of the game. Imo, they are the best team in the county 14 better than wartburg, 21 better than Oak, and about a TD better than Sun.

I thought of the predictions I made this one was the closest. I thought that Coalfield would get killed by bledsoe but they hung in there. I was suprised to see rbs bead oakdale I know oak has a long way to go but rbs come on guys!

Just wanting to know what everyone thinks about this year. I think the dist will finish like this Coalfield, best team in the region oneida - good coach,Oakdale - good coach and return many from a 20 win team a year ago,Sunbright- athletic,Wartburg - lost too much with bunch, armes, freels, chapman, and longmire but did hear they got a transfer from coalfield that is pretty interesting given some past events, O.S. - lost everyting, Jellico - not very good (not sure they are in the dist though just what i heard)

Jordan from Coalfield is probably the best player in Reg 2A and she is only a Jr.

I'm picking Monterrey 18 Wartburg 6 I just dont' think the bulldogs are good enough to handle any team that is able to play solid for 4 quarters. If monterrey takes care of the ball then they shouldn't have any real problems. but they better watch out for hamby bc he is one of the best players around and if he were to get free then the dogs could pull it out but right now i just think monterrey will win.

I know in our community they bash our girls coach. She has won a region and been to the state tournament but they still complain about her. It's like that all over our county! People that don't support the program seem to me to be the cause for many teams struggles. I think that coaches in high school should be able to sign contracts for periods of time that would give them some coaching job security. Or allow them to earn tenure as a coach the way teachers earn it. I'm not really sure but I'm pretty certain that I don't want to coach anytime soon!

Having 10 down years in a row is not a slump Wartburg Fans need to wake up! You guys have some pretty good basketball up that way and that's about it! How many times has wartburg been to the playoffs in their history? I bet sunbright has been as much as you guys.

Underdog 32, Wartburg is not a good team! I hate to hurt any feelings but this region except for Harriman is pretty bad!

How do you come off picking Wartburg second they lose a good group of seniors and could lose their coach. If that happens they will be lucky to make the region. I think there are to many ignorant fans around morgan co to ever keep it going like davis has the last two years. We should have been great this year but had to many parents tearing up the team telling their kids they were great. Sunbright has parents that run rampant on a given night instead of trying to grow with their young coach Wartburg has a well documented recent history of bashing their coach and his family Oakdale seems to be a place that supports their team and coaches but the rest of morgan county seems out of touch. I still stand by my prediction of Coalfield and Oneida in the finals if I had to include two others it would be OZ and Tellico So I've got OZ Tellico Coalfield Oneida all making it to the second round

I doubt that many AA or AAA teams would have beat coalfield's state champ team from a few years back! We have competed and won against people from all levels priv, A, AA, and AAA. The best Athletes play where the best programs are! There are some very good A programs

Anyone have a roster of this team. What dist. are they in next year, any changes? I follow their football team and have seen what they have done. Are there athletes in basketball also?
