  1. I've never questioned you knowledge, grammar perhaps, but never your obvious knowledge. I simply point out the fact that you suck at predictions.
  2. I'm still going with the hot pitcher. Central 5, Dekalb 1. Good luck to both.
  3. Talking trash to 3rdBasecoach. Everyone gets lucky every once awhile. My prediction is Meigs Co. will beat Bledsoe on Saturday. EXHIBIT "B" (see Chattanooga Central at Meigs Co. thread) Re: Chattanooga Central at Meigs Co. by 3rdbasecoach » Tue May 18, 2010 10:15 pm Whistle76 wrote: Hard one to pick..... should be a good one!! thirdbasecoach wrote: Close game, but I'm going with the hot pitcher. Central 2-1. BTW, Final Score:....Central 2, Meigs 1. Shall I continue? Yes, lets! I'm not trying to bang on you bleed, but lets be realistic. Some teams get hot at the right times and others go into a slump at the worst possible point in the season. As far as my predictions, there's no luck involved, just simple math. I knew that Central's pitcher (Willard) was and is still hot. I've watched Meigs County play at least 6 times this year and knew they had trouble with riseball pitchers (i.e. Willard). I put 2 plus 2 together and BAM!!! Like most folks on this site, I spend my Spring, Summer and Fall watching all these girls play ball. Unlike some, I watch all the players, not just my girls in purple. So, with that being said, Meigs County's hitters are pretty potent. They have one of the best hitting coaches in Tennessee. Bledsoe has a pitcher who has huge potential. Bledsoe must hit! They can't get into a nail-bitter with Meigs. If Bledsoe jumps out early and can provide Ritchie with a 3-4 run lead, I think Bledsoe can hold that lead. If they fall behind early, or get into a shootout with the Tigers, Meigs wins big. Just too many horses! I'm pulling for those hated blue-clad Warriors from the north.
  4. Silver Eagles? There's a lot of confidence coming out of Roane County these days. I have to say I like their spunk. yes we had our first practice tonight and we looked pretty good for a team who hasnt been together through high school season. I hope we statisticly stay in the top 10 during the season and think we will go far this year!!! Did anyone tell these guys that If they drop out of the "Top 10", the ASA takes away your team's matching batbags!
  5. Close game, but I'm going with the hot pitcher. Central 2-1.
  6. I agree that Sequatchie should finish first, but Grundy, Bledsoe and CCS have strong pitching and if their bats get hot, watch out! I have a sneaky suspicion that Bledsoe may sneak up on everyone. I'm not perfect, BUT I GOT THIS ONE RIGHT!!!!
  7. Hmmmm... 0-2, you're on fire! And that' s not an opinion either.
  8. Hey Einstein, you asked what happened to Sequatchie? I told you. Its not an opinion, its a fact! The proof is in the results.
  9. What happened? We got outplayed, thats what happened. I would hope we focus on the next game and not be concerned about the regional finals.
  10. An apparently "official" map shows the western most counties of East TN to be Marion, Hamilton, Bledsoe, Cumberland, Morgan and Scott. Who would be in your top 10? Don't forget that Marion County did finish second in the Eastman Invitational where better than half the teams listed in the OP's top ten also played... And Unicoi won it... True!
  11. No problem with your assessment. I, too, see only teams from mainly the eastern portion of the state. Had the pleasure of watching my beloved high school get spanked this weekend by some middle and west Tennessee teams. Coffee County looked mighty strong. Creekwood and Cornersville will be tough to deal with come state tournament time. Cornersville pitcher (Feagan, I believe) looked dominating. I would like to know who is teaching hitting at Coffee County, they deserve a pay raise.
  12. An apparently "official" map shows the western most counties of East TN to be Marion, Hamilton, Bledsoe, Cumberland, Morgan and Scott. Who would be in your top 10? All teams listed above are quality choices. With Hamilton County being in East Tennessee, I find it hard to believe that Soddy Daisy is not at the top of list. I would also include Walker Valley and Meigs County. I've seen Maryville, Elizabethton and many of the others play and none have the horses to play with Soddy (and I'm not even a big fan of Soddy). Just my observations.
  13. I'm guessing you meant Upper East Tennessee Top 10?
  14. Then I'm woohooing for Kingston too!
  15. Congratulations! But for which team are you woohooing about?
  16. Here's a little scouting report for RHP Wooden, Pitch around #16. She's hot!
  17. So, basically what you're saying is......the coach at (insert high school) sucks because my daughter isn't the starting shortstop. Am I close?
  18. I may be wrong, but I think Sequatchie beat Jefferson County 3-0. I'm getting old and my memory isn't what it used to be. It was a good game by both teams.
  19. Sequatchie Co. 7 Marion Co. 0 Jackie Houk pitched a great game and Burgess homered. Marion top 2 hitters (Baxter and Brunning)were tough at the plate, but were stranded on base most of the game.
  20. It wasn't as easy as the score looks. Bledsoe's Ritchie pitched a solid game, only giving up one hit over the first 5 innings. Kayla Reagan was her usual "thorn in the side", getting several good hits. The Indians got to Ritchie in the sixth inning and took the lead 2-1. In the 7th, It looked like Ritchie lost a little speed and the Indians put several hits together. Dawson, Brock and Burgess each had big hits late to drive in runs and push the Indians over the top. Good game to watch.
  21. Ooltewah just sent Soddy home, (1-0) in the Brentwood Tournament. Ooltewah vs. Walker Valley in the Final.
  22. I would think all districts play each other twice. Looking at the schedules...these do also. We do this year, last year we only played once.
  23. I agree that Sequatchie should finish first, but Grundy, Bledsoe and CCS have strong pitching and if their bats get hot, watch out! I have a sneaky suspicion that Bledsoe may sneak up on everyone.
