  1. Agree. The “haters” on here don’t hate Mt Juliet, they hate mjgoldenbear.
  2. And I’ll put it to you like this: we didn’t struggle to beat YOU. You’ll come back and say “it was a scrimmage (jamboree), it doesn’t count” but if you know anything about little perry you know he’d do anything to beat Crabtree and Beech. Beech wasn’t the one attempting to run out the clock in a “scrimmage”. The problem for you is Beech and Coach Crabtree continue to own little perry and mj just like they always have, even though you have 600 more students than Beech. Even when you occasionally have a good team like this year, little Beech still owns you. You actually make my point for me. If mj was as good as you think they are, they should have run little Beech off the field with their jv, even if it was a jamboree.
  3. Best team in the mid state? Seriously? Not even in the top 5. Take it from someone who has seen them play, MJ loses to BA, Oakland, MBA, Riverdale, Beech and probably Hillsboro.
  4. Pretty ragged night for Beech’s offense. Gallatin D had a lot to do with that. Offensive execution looked off all night. I was impressed with Gallatin’s D. As good as we’ve seen all year. Beech’s D played exceptionally well. Rallied to the ball and gang tackled all night. Congrats to Coach Crabtree and the Bucs on the Regional championship. Time to start building towards the playoffs. Great atmosphere. I hope all the kids that play high school football in Sumner county appreciate the passion, community support and great coaching they get. It’s how Friday nights should be for all teams. Unfortunately not all kids get to experience those type Friday nights every week like Sumner Co kids do.
  5. I believe Coach Hatfield has righted the ship from the mid season swoon. Commandos by 7.
  6. Not really. Plus 11 in turnovers for the season, but it can always bite you. TO’s are especially painful for ball control offenses.
  7. I believe if the Bucs can take care of the football they win by 10.
  8. I agree with all the above. The playoff game in 09 was a great game. Beech also played a really good Memphis team that was loaded with d1 signees, but Gallatin was a better team than them. I very much agree with your comments on Coach Crabtree. He will be to Beech Football what Coach Short is to the Green Wave.
  9. Coach Crabtree has the Bucs playing pretty good ball. Can Gallatin get back on track after a disappointing loss to the Commandos. Bye week is probably coming at a good time for bumps and bruises to heal. Should be a good one. Can't wait til 10/20! Thoughts?
  10. I heard Beech’s freshmen pounded MJ last night.
  11. I agree with every word of this. Wave in a close one.
  12. Assuming Hillsboro finishes third in the region, as it stands now, where would they go for their first round playoff game?
  13. Great game between two good teams. Beech d really stepped in the second half to keep the burros off the board after trailing at the half. Very impressed with Hillsboro’s athleticism, and #9 is the best RB we’ve seen all year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see these two meet again in Nov.
  14. If the Commandos don’t get too pass happy I think they take care of business.
  15. This has been a tough year to figure out. Hillsboro has had some struggles early, but appear to be hitting their stride. Gallatin has had some nice wins but laid an egg against MJ. Beech didn’t play great in its first few games but have played better recently. I don’t believe they are the best 5A team in the state, but do think they are pretty good. If they can take care of the ball, I think the Bucs will win.
  16. I too agree with all of them, but still scratching my head over HHS losing to Lebanon. Think this is a huge game for them to right the ship. If they lose 3 in a row A once promising season could go down the tubes.
  17. Beech won't do anything fancy. I understand Springfield has a pretty good ground game as well. Should be a fun one. Looking forward to checking out the new facilities in Springfield.
  18. I'm sure this will make your head explode WC, but the talent depleted Beech Bucs also beat MJ in a "scrimmage". If scores don't count in scrimmages why do they turn on the scoreboard? FWIW, Beech's low-talent jv also beat MJ's jv.
  19. Who are some teams in West TN that HC will have to get through in the first 2 or 3 rounds of the playoffs?
  20. Funny how parents always think their talent is better than it really is and the coaching is worse than it really is. You're perfectly entitled to think your son and his teammates are more talented than Beech, but when you put Smyrna above Beech you lose a lot of credibility. Beech beat Smyrna 28-0. (It's so fun to be underestimated)
  21. Appreciate the kind words mondo. As you know, you always have to work to get better. Do believe this team has the potential to make some noise in the playoffs, but there is a lot of football to play before then. Truly believe HHS can end up 8-2 and capture the region crown. MJ is far from unbeatable. If Coker is on, I believe they take the bears. Good luck the rest of the way.
  22. Don't know that I've ever seen a 5'4" 140 lb tailback wear out a defense, but that's exactly what happened tonight. If there's a better player pound for pound in the state than Kaemon Dunlap, I'd like to see him. 317 for Mr Dunlap tonight. . It was a pretty typical Beech-Hendersonville game. Very physical, very emotional. Beech D stepped up in the second half holding a high powered offense to just one td. First time all year Beech has played a complete game. Hats off to Coach Crabtree and the boys. Always good to beat the Commandos.
