  1. Well, I certainly hope that the new stadium will fire up Harriman this year and possibly help them win a few games. I too believe that they will win 2 games which, as said before isn't great, but it is a good improvement. I think they will beat Union Co. and some unsuspecting county team I guess. OS better look out. My only request is that Harriman's fans stay behind them no matter the outcome this year. It just about depresses me when you go to a Harriman Home game and the visitor fans outnumber the Home fans. So if it about depresses me I know it depresses the HHS players. Good luck to HHS this year and the same goes for next year in 1A ball. ACCARP
  2. Ok, I don't care about this petty nonsense, I want to know the good stuff. Does PJPII stand a chance against Ezel Harding come Aug. 20? I am from East Tennessee and I don't know a great deal about either team. However, I plan on attending the game that evening because I will be in the area. So, how do these 2 teams match up? ACCARP
  3. I'm not sure if its the best, but one that I love to watch is the kingston/OS rivalry. This year its at Kingston and Kingston hasn't been beat at home by a roane county team in 17 years. Rockwood will have the opportunity first, but week 5 brings in OS. This year should be a good one. ACCARP
  4. Great Job to all... Its too bad the 3 time defending champs couldn't be there this year. ACCARP
  5. Who i want... 1A) Boyd Bucannan 2A) Oliver Springs 3A) Smith County 4A) Maryville 5A) Oak Ridge Who I think... 1A) CPA 2A) Alcoa 3A) Austin East 4A) Maryville 5A) Riverdale ACCARP
  6. For a good varsity club, I would say you would need 3 or 4 starters, 2 middle inning pitchers, and 2 good relievers. That is just my opinion. ACCARP
  7. OS should be good, but its hard to tell right now. They will be without Hall, Goins, and Lankford. I think they could make some noise in the region, but probably not state. ACCARP
  8. On Beechboard, I really enjoied watching her in the state tournaments. She is very quick and has a great shot. I wish her and Laura the best of luck at UTC. ACCARP
  9. Tori3, I'm just guessing here, but you have probably only seen Laura play against LA haven't you. The reason I ask is that there is no way an intelligent person could make a statement like that having watched Laura play in more than one game and against more than one team. Therefore, you must just be that ignorant. Please, before making dumb comments about a player you know barely anything about, gain more knowledge pertaining to who you are talking about. ACCARP
  10. Congrats to OS again, but they have just begun, it is no where close to over. I hope that this team effort continues, but I also hope that Hall is back on her game tomorrow. I too was disappointed in the student section, but it was large. Good luck tomorrow. ACCARP
  11. OS played three good quarters today as a team. Hall didn't play very well; however, with the make up play of Goins, Hackworth, and Monk it was enough to survive and advance. I did not get to make it to either one of the games between OS and LA this year, but it doesn't really matter what happened then this is the one that really counts. If OS doesn't rebound well and Hall is off again, I say LA by 10. However, if Hall gets it going and the defense boxes out, I say OS by 7. ACCARP
  12. All I've heard is a bunch of fans talk trash about teams they know nothing about. Basically we'll just have to wait until Thursday to figure anything out. I have no idea who will win this game. I know that CC is on a 27 game winning streak; however, their schedule is much weaker than the one OS plays. Will that affect how they play each other? Who knows? All I can say is be at the Boro on Thursday to find out. ACCARP
  13. gark, are you going to Elizabethtown? If so, do you need some company? Give me a call. ACCARP
  14. How far is Elizabethtown. Also, what type of game do they play and who is a few key players to watch? ACCARP
  15. OS91, in the region tournament last year, Seymour pretty well dominated OS on Offense, boards, and team play. The only thing that happened to change that was Hall becoming hot late in the game after being ice cold and Seiber having a steal or two to draw the game a little closer. I wasn't there for this years game, but if a good team can beat another good team by 10 or more... well, it seems like a little domination to me. I'm not making excuses for either side or saying it will happen again, but it was one of OS' biggest losses, if not the biggest loss, of the year. Still yet, as it has been said, Seymour and OS won't even think about each other until after Wednesday night, providing that they both take care of business. Oh, and gark242 is right. ACCARP
  16. Well, it seems as if most everyone thinks that OS will win this one. Are there any Alcoa fans out there whos opinions differ? I think that OS wil win if the offense doesen't sputter and the defense can grab the rebounds. However, with Alcoa's speed and talent, this ne could go either way. ACCARP
  17. In the second round of the region 2AA tournament, Alcoa will play OS at Kingston. Who do the fans think will win and why? ACCARP
  18. I think, as of now, that Seymour and OS will be playing in the region championship. I think, as of late, that Seymour has dominated OS and they have that mind game advantage. However, I knoe that OS can come out and play ball with whoever they want to. IT should be a good tournament to watch. Good luck to all , but go lady cats. ACCARP
  19. There is no doubt I am pulling for OS all the way; however, until the champ is dethrowned, I am going with Jackson County. ACCARP
  20. Every time I've seen AC play they have been solid. In fact, the last 2-3 years they have owned my team. I think they will have success in the district and region and, with a little luck, they could go to sub-state. However, they are going to have to play very well to get to that point. I do think as for now they will win the district tournament and win at least one or two in the regions. Good luck. ACCARP
  21. Macks, how about quit whining about a team/Community in which you know nothing about. The only thing I've heard from OS fans is when Hall gets nailed on a shot... call the stupid foul! Other than that, I really have no reason to complain because she, as well as the other athletes and players they have can take care of the rest. ACCARP
  22. Where will the district tournaments, as well as the regionals be held at this year? ACCARP
  23. John, how and why did you change what I said was great players and teams into bad players and teams? Please don't do that again. Thanks. ACCARP
  24. Whatever yourself man. My theories come from facts and examples. What does your theories come from??? ACCARP
  25. Hoss 51, to make something completely understood, let me clear up a few things. The ONLY reason #23 held Hall to 4 points in the man to man is because of a sprained ankle. Hall injured it like a week or 2 ago and has played on it ever since. If there had been no injury, you would have seen a little more magic... like you did in the first quarter. (Hall 10pts.) Hall has played against some great players, as well as teams and still had great games. Examples include: Livingston Academy, Memphis Ridgeway, Jackson County( who some don't count), ect. So don't try and tell me it was some sort of defensive phenom that held Hall back. I'm certainly not trying to take anything away from HH, they had some fine athletes, as well as a well rounded team. However, OS held a nine and ten point lead before Hall's ankle was re-aggrivated. As far as the T-foul on Coach Wright, it was uncalled for. I was sitting 3 feet away from Coach at that point and he said nothing to indicate the issuing of a T-foul, especially at that point in the game. To me, it seemed like the ref was trying to make the play of the game instead of letting the players do so. I also say that about this certain ref because he threatened to throw out a certain Oliver Springs staff member for saying no more than, "That was a bad call." I would know because I sat beside him. If that is reasoning for an ejection, every single person in that gym should have been asked to leave the game. I personally know this member, and he/she was outraged at the warning. As far as the foul goes, Hall did recieve some physical contact during the shot to indicate that a shooting foul should have been called. So Goose is absolutely right about that. However, I felt that the refs called a lot of floor fouls on HH when it looked to me that OS was in the act of shooting.??? I can't completely answer that, because I'm not an offical, but some looked a little more obviouse than others. Anyway, good game to both teams and this should give both teams a lot of learning experience. Oh 7aawatcher, what was your comment all about? ACCARP
