  1. They played: Goodpasture lost 22-21 Ravenwood lost 46-0 Centennial lost 45-14
  2. I am very interested in the overall scores from the Midget-MS age groups since they are the most mature and closest to making an impact in high school. I suspect that Middle TN Region 4/5has another strong showing, and Chattanooga (Region 3) always shows up. This is really an exciting time for TN wrestling IMO. I can't wait to see what the next 5 years holds! Darrell Lauderdale and Don Barnett ya'll have a lot to be proud of! TNAAU Volunteers, you are doing a great job!
  3. My Sons train with the Knuckleheads in Clarksville. They look forward to FS/GR more than FK!
  4. I have been away from the mat this year, and I have missed it tremendously, but I have been keeping a close eye on trackwrestling. The next 5 years should be interesting for the entire state. I would not be surprised if we don't start being noticed as a whole on the National Level as a legit wrestling state. Those of us who live and breath Tennessee Wrestling know that the talent is here and what is being cultivated in the youth programs is nothing short of amazing based off of what I saw 6 years ago when we started until now. I know some have criticized the D1 AAA D1 A-AA split, but I think in 5 years we will all agree that it was a good idea when our numbers increase. Congratulations and thanks go out to all the coaches and administrators who have worked their ####es off for so long to make wrestling better in this state!
  5. In the interest of making this forum an interesting read again. I thought we could begin posting scores. I know in our neck of the woods (Clarksville) we just had our jamboree. Here are the scores for West Creek Middle School. New Providence 6 West Creek 4 West Creek 14 Hopkinsville 0
  6. Seems to me like you are talking out of both sides of your mouth and trolling for Pilgrim to say something using three screen names. why the anonymity?
  7. And the truth comes out. How many different screen names are you using Coach? At least three it seems. (Anyway, Leave No Doubt and hereshowitreallyis) You are a piece of work my friend! Tell us what you have seen Coach? Your insight into the program seems very deep. I can't wait to see what Shelby does with the program!
  8. First of all, I am a West Creek parent and fan, not Clarksville High. That being said, I will always favor the Coyotes even when they are the underdog. Second, the score was 33-28 Clarksville with the winning score coming in the last moments of the game with help on a PI call. That is hardly a dominate performance against a team that is rebuilding and mediocre at best. I do have ties to Clarksville High through the wrestling program so I keep up with kids I have coached in the past and I will always pull for a guy who worked his tail off in the off-season like the Junior QB that didn't get a chance to show his abilities. I am not against the kid that started, he is a great athlete, but I think if he would have been put in the slot, used as a read option RB or in the wildcat, you could have then used the junior QB to the best of his abilities and had an offense that could get it done on the ground and in the air. Stop hiding behind your screen name. Tell us what your name really is!
  9. 138 should be worth the price of admission!
  10. This has been an interesting read, but I think I will go back to the wrestling forum where nobody hides behind screen names. Some of these comments are entertaining to say the least. It looks like a new troll pops up on here every week. Sounds like sour grapes to me! Congrats to Coach Shelby and Clarksville High!
  11. We have a few kids at West Creek that we are developing. They have been playing 2B, SS and 3B together for the last 3 years and are developing into some nice 5 tool players. All they are lacking really at this point is size and hitting for power. Hopefully they will start making some noise in the next couple years in high school when they have a better "supporting cast".
  12. I coached the youth team from 11-13. He was very supportive and I have seen kids that I coached grow tremendously this year under him.
  13. Yep. Can't wait to get one with Gable this year!
  14. I think Clarksville beats Beech. WC should beat Clarksville in the Finals, but I think Clarksville makes it interesting. I also think that folks are sleeping on this West Creek team, they have alot of heart! They can't beat WC, but they stand a great chance against Beech. Don't be surprised if West Creek finishes 3rd!
  15. Don't count Bowen out. He could pull off the upset against Small again. Both Bowen boys work very hard on and off the mat!
  16. I am the Assistant Head Coach at West Creek Middle in Clarksville. We might be interested dependign on the location. Contact me at jcddmoon10@gmail.com.

The majority of our tournaments will be in Middle TN and Southern KY. We will be having a pre-season team meeting to discuss evaluations and sign-ups, schedule, cost and fundraising on Sunday, January 19, 1:00 at the St. B Little League Civitan Park. 19. I think the Coyotes could possibly win this one by 2 or 3 TDs if they are on there game. They are much improved at the QB position this year and have some depth. I think the West Creek @ Clarksville game should be an interesting one. If Clarksville doesn't start their Junior at QB, I think West Creek beats them.
  20. I agree with the Henry faithful. Rossview is much improved, but they won a shootout against a Clarksville team that has a QB that can't throw the ball effeciently to save their life and a Coach who has lost control. I expect Rossview to hang in there through 3 potentially and then HC will dominate the 4th winning by 14.
  21. The threads have gotten very silent since the season has started in Clarksville. After Rossview defeated Clarksville in their house last week, I have to assume that Rossview is starting to emerge as a "Top Dog" in Clarksville football. It is going to be interesting to see them play Henry County and Northeast. Best of luck to Rossview! It appears that the program is heading in the right direction, but the next few weeks will be tough! I think Northeast is still the best team in Clarksville at this point. The tale of the tape for them will come against Rossview and Henry County. From what I understand the coaching staff is incredible over there. I am really surprised to see Clarksville High not improving this year though. I thought the QB play would be much better considering all the off-season work put in by last year's JV starter Sickel and the receiving corps. In that situation one of two things happens; the incumbent is pushed and improves the weak aspects of his game or the Junior gets the nod. Considering what I have witnessed and heard, I thought Sickel was going to be the starter and the passing game would be much improved this year. Being from the West Creek area of town, I do have to give some props to my Coyotes! They are far from being a powerhouse, however they are starting to improve and move the program in the right direction.
  22. It would be awesome to host a TOA tournament in Nashville. Imagine having a national level tournament at the GEC. It would be a fun time for sure!
  23. http://www.gnwa.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22148&sid=da31f9b061bff87cca228a429e55a7ce I just saw this on the GNWA site. If the Grind is no longer going to be held, this may be a good opportunity for TN to capitalize and start a National level tournament on that date. I personally think Nashville would be a hard location to beat due to its location in relation to the Midwest and our neighboring Southern states, not to mention how cool a town it is to take a "staycation" in conjunction with the tournament. Thoughts?
  24. Bradley is definently at a tough weight to be in for your first year in MS. He has put in some off-season work though and he has wrestled older kids in our rooms. He has no choice at his weight. At the MS age puberty is the great equalizer for sure!
