the two best teams are still alive as it should be Martin and NS both had hiccups in District Championship games but are clearly a step above the rest Martin is 7-2 against Milan, Dyersburg, and Obion combined - nuff said NS is 11-1 against District 14AA and 4-0 against Dyersburg and Obion - nuff said

once again another thread derailed by all the Obion criers, whining about refs and going totally off topic something about UC you lost, it wasn't close, quit crying come watch some teams tonite that won't cry if they lose NS by 3 in a come from behind win due to Dburg missing FT's late

also, many schools in West TN are not allowed to play spring sports games on Wednesdays also so maybe it is just a different train of thought as far as West TN and Middle/East maybe the bible belt moves south with the TN River

TSSAA and the districts don't HAVE to play district and regional tournaments on Wednesday, that is the point i understand on State tourney week where you have the gym rented for a set amount of days etc, but districts and regions can easily avoid Wednesdays Nobody is arguing that you can't have devotionals or whatever on wednesdays on your own, but i'd bet less than 10-20% of teams that play on Wednesday have those due to time retsraints/travel/etc, and those players are forced by TSSAA and the districts/regions to miss services that night or miss the game and fans and coaches too so that is my point, why play on Wednesday if you don't HAVE to? you say your district has played on Wednesdays for years, well ours hasn't and is now being asked to (even though we got a waiver to not do so)

because wednesday is a church night and region 7AA told TSSAA that they didn't want to play on a church night and have to make fans/players/coaches choose between church and ball TSSAA said okay, just move it up a day and play girls final on tuesday, skip wednesday and boys final on thurs i think rest of state should follow suit

oh ok, i gotcha, i thought you were saying that the basis of the switch was so they could be opposite days of Memphis district kinda stunk tonite that I had to sit and watch just the OC - NS game instead of being able to see all four huge matchups i hope they get rid of the satellite region quarters

yeah i think Memphis refs let you bang ALOT more which leads to my prediction above, Milan power + Martin finesse + Memphis refs = ... Milan by double digits (just my opinion) Dyersburg power + Northside power + Memphis refs = close game

Northside in a close one ... then Northside over Milan ... don't fret Milan though cause both of you are Boro-bound Milan rejuvenated by Northside moving to other bracket looks like they found the November thru January team that had been missing since February started and Northside has had their wake-up call, luckily (for them) not on a do-or-die night

I heard a rumor and was wondering if it was true I heard that one or two of the coaches and maybe more didn't understand the voting ballots for all-district and when they put LeRon, CJ, Justin, LeShaun as 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively ... they thought that meant best player, second best player, third best player, etc ... when in actuality that meant how many points they were awarded so they got it backwards my guess would be that the two new coaches from DC and OC were confused being new to the voting system by the district but who knows anyone else heard this, and if so, do we know which coaches messed up? can the results be changed since it was a blatant error? would the coaches who messed up be willing to admit it? what a mystery!

no sls, that is incorrect many region 7AA fans go to church on Wednesday nights and they told the TSSAA that they weren't gonna play on a church night so they bumped it up a day it is a shame really that TSSAA sets a mandatory game night on a church night understandable in a state tourney setting where you are renting a gym for a set amount of time, but any other situation it is easily avoidable district 13AA and Region 7AA have tried not to play on Wed nite for many many years now (actually the last second rule this year placing limits on # of games per school night forced 13AA to play on Wed for the first time this decade because TSSAA didn't give Districts enough advance warning to readjust their tourney scheduling)

it is a sad day for all Bible Belters when we see TSSAA mandate Wednesday nights as a set tournament night it is also a sad day when TSSAA force all region quarters to be played on the same night at the same time so all the games can't be enjoyed by all region fans TSSAA spends too much time trying to meddle with things to make the best 'financial' decisions that they forget to make the 'right' decisions

i've heard all this before like a broken record ... "yada yada yada, these girls are great in high school cause their middle school coach did a great job blah blah blah" give the kid some credit will you, i mean she'd be good even if you coached her. "creating your own shot" and "scoring at will" are God-given now if you mention blocking out, or playing position defense, or ball handling, then yeah that is more coaching type benefits but dont get on here and say that being the best offensive player in the state at 10 under AAU was because of anyone else other than Amber herself and her parents genepool i hear she has a sister who is going to be better, so are you telling us that her sister is good cause she was taught to score at will by the former coaches in 6under AAU ball?

Westview played great? they missed MANY FT's, especially in the 4th Q their best post player Thomas didnt play for 2 or 3 quarters over an apparent injury (at least i didnt hear her name on the radio for a LONG time) they turned the ball over 20+ times ... hate to break it to ya, but Westview has a LOT better than where that came from but if it helps you through the tough times, you go ahead and keep tellin yourself that westview played the best they can and milan played their worst looks like another one-and-done for milan when they play Jax NSide in first round of regional

look, Obion is a GOOD team that's the word ... GOOD they are really GOOD not Great, not one-of-a-kind, not "best i ever seen", not unique, not many of the overrated terms they were given earlier this year by their fans i think we may have been overwhelmed by the 126-12 victories over Podunk, Arkansas and Mt. Pilot HS or whatever and their extremely easy schedule in this decade they are not even one of the top ten 13AA teams. so i think you'll all be alot better off if you just say "hey we have a pretty good team here" and layoff all the whining about the program fact is EVERY girls coach at obion has averaged 20+ wins a year (go look it up if you dont believe) so it's no big deal and you have NEVER won a gold ball so quit acting like you are supposed to win one every year and note to NSHD: i think obion has only not made region one time in past ten years and that team was terrible so are you sure about that comment?

didn't your folks tell you to "Just Say No" to drugs guys you can penalize NSide all you want for their schedule, but it doesn't take away from the fact they are head and shoulders above the 13AA teams need i remind you NWH that you had the same antiJNS biased rankings last year and need i remind you what NSide did to your precious 13AA, Milan (spank), Gibson (spank), Obion (spank), in succession 13 AA is good don't get me wrong, but it is a fight to be #1 or #3 seed from that district tourney to have ANY shot at the Boro
