  1. Does Brentwood High School owe me gas money to and from Murray Lane?
  2. Come on fromthetop2...you know all you rich guys have it made. You wear your fancy suits around the common guys while they are out painting and stuff and act like you are special. Ya'll probably even recruit to the Wilco schools and give extra money to coaches to get them to come to your fancy schools. Ya'll got it easy! Look at the fancy facilities you have at Brentwood High School. A building that was up graded only how long ago....1985? A great playing atmosphere you ruined by putting in lights that actually let you see the SW endzone. Aristocrat Antique turf with matching irrigation system installed about the time I-65 was paved. Low places on the field fixed with 5-gallon buckets and sprigged by had...irrigated with water hoses and sprinklers (why wasn't the Williamson Co Board contacted...I'm sure they would have gladly had new turf and irrigation system). Yep....You Wilco folks have had it handed to you!
  3. I have always thought the Willco teams should play BA later in the year rather than in week o or 1. I know it would be tough with consideration to the region games but it seems BA is ahead on the curve early. May be from overall better athletes(eventhough they have NEVER recruited) than the public schools. I have always wished the Bwood 2002 team that lost to them in week 0 had played them week 10!
  4. fromthetop2......Do you have any idea what I would give to get on that committee too? Dist11fan....I don't think the length of post needed to fully explain this one is allowed. Maybe we can all 3 do it in shifts.
  5. fromthetop2.....I believe you found the best fit possible....HH! A perfect match!!!!
  6. Sure was different, wasn't it! I remember the passion and intensity of 2002 when my last son played. I walked the floors all day! I remember in 1998 when a very prominent quarterback AND his father was throwing up before the game it was so intense. I don't know about Franklin but something is missing in Brentwood this year. Don't know if it means as much to the kids now as it did just a few short years ago. I'm afraid Brentwood folks have forgotten how badly 0-10 and 2-8 felt!!! They have come a long way through the efforts of a lot of people, but staying there is not automatic. If both of those schools have lost the intensity of THAT game the future looks bad for both of them!
  7. itzme.....Are you actually that stupid? That's right...they won't move here, they will commute daily....Here's your sign!
  8. fromthetop2....Everyone knows all players in Brentwood are "lillie" er "lily" white. Just ask my grandkids! BTW....2 weeks ago he had 3 catches for 225 yards and 3 TD's.
  9. Unfortunate, yes. Mistake, yes. Honest mistake, NO. SHOOTME....why would you think it is O.K. to disregard the rules even if "it is no different than what other schools" are doing. If you have been around high school football for years you should understand the need to do things right. I'm sure there is no competitive advantage to what was done and I'm sure they thought it would be overlooked and nothing would come of it but I think they should feel lucky to get off as easily as they did. I'm surprised a fine is not involved and at least a one game suspension for Rector. "Toto....you're not in Kansas...er...Kentucky a longer".
  10. fromthetop2....you'll pay just like I will just to satisfy our curiousity. Think Ron, Jack, Kevin, etc will have to pay? You know they will be there. See you there!
  11. Thank you Old Lost Dad for your obvious sacrifice in Nam. Thanks to you my sons that played in this region went to college instead of some heck hole like you had to endure. I have found my new HERO! THANKS!!!!
  12. Brentwood, Fairview, and maybe Page is open zoned due to low population but I don't think Ravenwood is. Might be wrong.
  13. This is my 11th season watching football in Tennessee. For 3 years I have not had a son on the field so I am much less biased than before. I recently commented that I have seen better officiating this year than ever before. Maybe(hopefully) it is getting better because for the other 10 years it was horrible!
  14. To fromthetop2.......from me and the big guy....You are welcome!
  15. My favorite has always been Brentwood Academy's band.
  16. Since I'm only a casual spectator now I have not kept up with Williamson Co. news very well. Some time ago BDD, who has been in the know for a long time, mentioned some big news that he could not disclose and we would have to wait for the paper to pick it up. What was it?
  17. It's ALL about coaching. Centennial has always had as good or better athletes than Brentwood or Franklin. 10 years ago Brentwood had as many athletes as they do now but went 0-10 and 2-8. The athletes were in shcool but not on the team. The first year after Jack D came 5 of the starters on offense had been in school the previous year but were not playing. Good coaches will always have good teams. Some years an individual such as Bill Whittemore or Cody Green will make a difference but the coach still has to use him correctly. Bottom line..........It's all about coaching!
  18. Bruins4Life..I love your picture but please do whatever necessary to keep a lifesize picture of fatphil off of here! Of course the Jumbotron at the Delph would have trouble fitting that on the screen! RTR
  19. fromthetop2 how about one of J Lewis? It stops @ #118.........been a fun 10 years!
  20. fromthetop2 you're gonna miss this as much as I do! I agree a little stomping on the emblam AFTER the game is no problem. It is no secret BHS would rather beat FHS more than anyone and the feeling is mutual. I've been out of it now since the last boy was on the 2002 team but I really was proud last Friday night! I was surprised the players were all so cordial. I do have one suggestion for Franklin fans....and I think Miss Willie should handle this.....there is no need for the "Brentwood...Brentwood...Brentwood..........YOU stink" cheer before the game. It is obviously organized....sounds low class.
  21. Irish...I saw my first Brentwood -Franklin game in 1995. Since that time I have not missed a BW game. The last several years I have read CoachT often and have read many posts and have written several. I wish I had been the one to have written that one!
  22. Brentwood has a couple assistants with good experience. Jack Daniels-OC- has been around a while but not as long as the 39 years assistant Tom Crawford has.
  23. It was enough for Flatt to determine Tom Moore needed to be replaced.
  24. Hey Fromthetop....you see clay9's comments? Could there be a chink in "The Lengendary....'s" armor? They get riled kinda quickly.
