With no district seeding and with the convoluted scoring. System for playoff slots, you would have to choose teams geographically for each class. East. Middle. And west. The biggest joke is two state championships for approx 30 DII schools if you think 4 and 5 team districts are unfair.

Putting Loudon and Kingston in 5AA leaves 4 teams in dist. 4 the same thing your complaining about now. Doing away with dist 5 AA would domino everything west. Still trying to keep travel down in dist. Unless you can create more teams out of thin air in the east you still are going to have extremely large districts or some extremely small ones. Maybe trousdales prop. Would make a difference by putting more teams. In the total mix.

If he his there when the season starts he will have stayed longer than any other previous coach in the history of the school. This school without a doubt was one of the worst programs in the area except for two years when meadows was there. This school's football program was on life support and it may take a little longer to bring something back from the dead. You are right the tallent appears to be better this year but from what I hear still very young. The schedule still has some very tough perienial powers on it. Looking at some of the other season's records, 8 games in three seasons is till better than what they were doing. Looks like they are headed in the right direction a far cry from where they have been.

I did not know that running to the field house at half time was a prerequisite to being a good coach. It takes a little while, when Davis first came back to polk I do not believe his running to the fieldhouse would have made a difference!!

It wasn;t the football coaches. it was the basketball coaches going to camps all summer long, aau teams, traveling teaams in baseball the at the time was usually the high school teams. Now that the TSSAA has restricted the number of days of off season competition and limited the number of players from one high school team that can play on baseball, softball and basketball. It looks to me like they should do away with the dead period.

Just an outside observation: I don't think there are many schools or coaches that are lined up in waiting to play schools that consistently humiliate weaker opponents on the football field by scoring 50 to 70 points a game. It would be hard for me to get mad at other schools that I have beaten badly (50 plus) every time I play them for not playing me.Also since the TSSAA has messed up the playoffs not many coaches are willign to put a playoff spot on the line by playing SP. Signal, BB, etc

The 8th grader has to be in the same school under the same principal. Like K-12 or 7-12 or any other combination. Being on the same campus does not allow the 8th grade to participate if you have a k-8 school and a 9-12 school on the same campus with two independent principals.

Clint has had a long history of lopsided scores. In a ball game when do you have enough points. Since all of the private schools that clint did not want to play got moved upped in classification he did not waste any time in getting back to the class A ranks. I wish he could be on the end of one of his scores, Iam sure getting beat 91-0 might change his perspective. On the other hand I do not think it is likely that any class A team in Tennesse will be able to do that. You have to say one thing for Clint and staff, they do a great job with their program, they always turn out a great team. I hope there is truth to the old saying,"What goes around comes around"
