  1. What about a Jeremy Ledford sighting in the Post? You never to cease to amaze me. NOW!
  2. Somebody may get bamboozled tonight.
  3. Sorry to off subject, but where is Micheal " Big Snooty" King working this Fall. Word is he moved back to Gordonsville to help Moose. Thanks.
  4. Is Russell Harriman, a trigomometry and AP General math teacher still coaching FB in L-town? Word was he was a pretty fair hind-catcher and middle linebacker in his day.
  5. Where is the infamous Michael King working? Rumor was he quit at Gordonsville over having to pay for pre-game meals and went to Watertown with the living legend Larry E. Grissom. Went to Wilson Central Jamboree and did not see him. I did not know if he was at Wilson County Fair or was let go there. Could he be re-employed at Gordonsville with Coach Marshall...NOW!
  6. Well...By God. You gonna be there all day? How do I get there? I been sideways with a curvy knife before.
  7. Hospitality Menu ready yet? any contests like a foul out to the first base contest? home to dugout on a called third strike contest? heaters in the dugouts? will trash cans be available to have our own fires? how about a contest for coaches hitting infield? highest average will hitting to the infield and who can get sawed off and break ala current CU Bulldog radio man? I can help with prizes...I have several vintage oil cans for the Iron Mikes and the button on the back along with multiple action figures.
  8. David, Was it a peaceful parting? I will predict that you will go through several replacements to find a suitable replacement for the legend. E5
  9. I am shocked you refer to me as if I were a beached whale. The pouring of water only happens when I go to the East Coast for vacation. About the heat and flare up...the probe that NASA has on Mars detected the flame out. Beware of guys in dark suits with dark glasses driving dark 4-door cars. They are the feds and will demand answers!
  10. How wrong you are! Ask the ladies working our game and they WILL remember the handsome man who got the dog and chocolate shake. I also inspired two other D'backs fans to buy the shakes. I was paid back by the Lug Nuts score by Limbaugh as well as the Fog Horn Leg Horn. If we could just trade you for a new string for the leaf blower, I would have no complaints.
  11. Watched a game at RHS and saw R'daleman with what looked to be food on his shirt. His claim was scars from the grill flare up. I was not sure about the answer, so I drove off campus to be safe. You would think a mod and a man that claims to have knowledge about the game....would get a apron. Just to be on the safe side, we have all have a Tetanus shot and are on an IV to ward off food poisoning. My advice is to find out who is on the grill at RHS. PS Told you I would get it started, lets keep it going. If you are in the Drakes Creek area Thursday, my left-handed hindcatcher will be on display.
  12. Rob Lowell pronounced Wob Wowell.
  13. Random? Took me most of the day to come up with this.
  14. There was an APB out for me...I thought it was about me for a while!
  15. David, Is there a link to former Warriors who have or are playing professional baseball? E5
  16. How about those sandbox spitters in the locker room? How about Van #2 and the AM jam riding shotgun was "can I scream one time?"
  17. I don't remember what I had at lunch today, let alone 2001. Brent was a sophomore in 99 and LHS swept RHS that year. If my math is correct, he was a senior in 01. Derek may have been a sophomore in 01. We should start a "What was your funniest Lebanon baseball story?" Were you on the trip to Lexington to play Q when G was the head man?
  18. Are you sure that was not Derp? He could light up the radar gun like a Christmas Tree.
  19. I can't take full credit for our system as it is a combination of several. We start with nine 10 inch nails in the nine spots we want to throw to. We then get at 45 feet and start with the standard Daisy BB's and throw 2 and 4 seam fastballs till we can drive them flush to the wood the nails are in. We then back up to 60 feet with railroad spikes and use water-logged balls and repeat the same method. We do this six days a week starting with a minimum of 100 throws each day. To flush the body we soak in a hot tub with a mixture of Garrett's Seet Snuff, white vinegar, and the cherry blossom bubble bath from Bath and Body Works. After the heat, we fill up a 55 gallon trash can with ice and water and submerge our bodies head first using a common snorkle you can buy at most department stores. You may have to get these in the spring or summer or order them online. Googling for Wings, a store for beach ware, is the best priced snorkles. In pre season we always throw our pens from 70 to 80 feet for the obvious benefits of overload. For underload, we use the Atec balls from 12 feet at 100 percent. We have our batters take BP at twelve feet in the event we face pitchers who throw in the low 120's. We have never lost a game to one of these guys yet. The same is repeated for breaking balls and change ups with the exception of how far we start the nails into the wood. One draw back has been with the limited preseson scrimmages, our breaking balls are always high for the first month of the season. I will defend this method, because it not how you start the season...it's how we finish. Playing the number one seed in the first round of the district tournament has helped us get a head start for summer baseball. Hope this helps. I have a question on pop times. I am now the first base coach because Bob got a promotion and I am moving from Dugout Dad to first base coach. I have a stop watch but I don't what to do. I have been unable to hear the popcorn poppers start or stop from the coaching box from any of the fields we have played on so far. I have tried to get them before the game, but one of my responsibilties is to make sure the snacks arrive and are properly cooled or kept in the coolest spot if they have any dairy products or chocolate in them. The head coach wanted me to get the pitchers time to the plate. Is this on passed balls when he runs home or from the dugout when he hits. Every time he asks for a time, I just make it up. He said we are not getting good jumps based on my times. Please give me some help. Another issue is what to do with my sunglasses. I have moved up to lead weedeater at work and have the sunglasses with the eye protectors on the sides. Do I put them on my hat? upside down? on the back of my hat? take off the lanyard? Also, do I tuck in my pullover or let it go out? If anyone has any average times of your popcorn poppers, I would appreciate some numbers. E5
  20. Should I lance it? Use a leech? Let the dog or cat like it? Use a poltice of witch hazel, garrett's sweet snuff, and hydrogen peroxide? Let a calf stink on it? Or simply pop it by slamming two books together? PS...it only hurts when we throw 50+ sliders with a 12 pound shot...maybe a junior high shot? GOTTA HAVE SOME HELP
