  1. Thank you for that great awe inspiring speech Aristotle.
  2. Simple. Overton lost to Hillsboro 38-21. Well Hillsboro beat Tullahoma 35-28 and Coffee County lost to Tullahoma 42-7. So Hillsboro would beat Coffee County by 49 points, where they only beat Overton by 17 points. Therefore, Overton must be 32 points better than Coffee County. 39-7 Final.
  3. Well he had a point. Coffee County needed to slow down the game. But by going three and out running the ball up the middle three times doesn't necessarily slow down the game. You have to adjust. The way to slow down the game is by picking up first downs and keep the ball moving. Well, you have to figure out how to keep the ball moving.
  4. When has that not happened? It just happens faster in other sports.
  5. Haven't got to the fourth quarter. Teams are swapping turnovers. Subs are in for Tullahoma. Starters still in for Coffee County. I sure hope no one gets hurt in garbage time. Evidently Coffee County coaches didn't watch the Louisville-Kentucky game.
  6. Tullahoma up 35-7 with five minutes left in the third quarter and about to score again. Make the score 42-7 Tullahoma with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter.
  7. I was planning on it, but no. I will be there in spirit.
  8. Tullahoma usually finds a way to win this game, while Coffee County usually finds a way to lose this game. The injuries that have been listed are more key to Coffee County and will be tough to overcome. They will have to play ball control and control the clock. I don't think they want to get into a shootout with Tullahoma.
  9. Law of averages say Coffee County has to win against Tullahoma sometime. So I will say the Pot comes back to Manchester this year.
  10. That is how the story is written. That's neither a prediction or a fairy tale--that's a book it!
  11. Coffee 28, Cookeville 22 Cookeville will score first and will fake kick and get the two-point conversion. Then kick an onside kick and recover and score again making it 15-0. Coffee will score and go for two and be denied making it 15-6. Raiders hit paydirt again and go for two again and be denied making it 15-12 at the half. Raiders take the ball and turn it over on downs at their own 32 yard line after going for it on fourth and five. Cookeville scores two plays later making it 22-12. Raiders march right down the field and go for two this time getting it making it 22-20. Raiders score late in the fourth with about two minutes and go for two again making it 28-22. Cookeville marches right down the field and has one last play. Coffee County holds to get the 28-22 win. This sounds about right.
  12. Never! Punting is a sign of weakness.
  13. Two consecutive years Cookeville has recovered an onside kick after their first score. Do you think Coffee County will be looking for it this year?

    The Coffee Pot

I was with you until you started comparing Brentwood to Hillsboro, especially this year. Typical Tullahoma attitude.
  15. William Le-Hawkins of Coffee County tied for first in the 100-meter with an 11.25 and third in the 200-meter with a 23.43 to qualify for sectionals.
  16. Mike is awesome. Plain and simple.
  17. I agree I hate individual recognition in a team sport. All it does is hurt feelings and cause problems. The only sports that should have individual recognition are track, golf and tennis. Yes, there is a team aspect as you are doing it for the team, blah, blah, blah, but honestly, everything is done for individuals and therefore you have individual champions in the end.
  18. Only thing is softball in District 8 is funny in the fact they won't give the Pitcher of the Year the MVP award. No doubt she is the pitcher of the year, so then it leaves a wide open race for MVP. But I would stay with Lincoln County, because Whitney Horton accounts for most of the offense, so her and Royesha Goodman from Columbia.
